    5k in the morning :) tough course and my foot is bothering me so i am not going for speed, but i am excited to race...i am a little addicted :)

    Hello peeps!! Well I am not going to get the 360 this week that is for sure but I will do my best. Had knee issues this week and so far so good.


    Week of 5/16/11 360 min:

    Mon: 60 min = 15 min bike, 20 min elliptical, 25 min LB weights......................................300 min left!
    Tue: knee pain, took a rest day.

    This was a hectic week for me. I only log the walking/jogging or any additional exercise I may get done. My stepmom passed and a first cousing passed and their funeral was this week. Today was the first day I actually felt like and had the time to get something done. Next week will be much better. I return to work on Monday, so I will be able to resume my walking/jogging during lunch.

    i am going to go ahead and say that i won't make the 360 this week...but i am okay with that i had a GREAT run this morning (5k PR 26:11) :) and last week i went way over :) it sounds like i am not the only one who will be a bit short this week...some weeks are just like that...we will come back strong next week :)

    My first time was....hot and steamy, it made me a bit nauseous and dizzy...bikram yoga that is...I think I liked it, in some sort of sick way

    Andrea, I know that you have been having leg and foot pain...try the yoga, it really reduces stress on the joints and heals them...I feel a lot better after just one class.

    last week i finished with 328 minutes/2003 calories burned :) not too shabby

    this week so far:
    monday: 3.25 mile walk 50/204
    tuesday: 4.5 mile walk 75/277

    total so far: 125 minutes/481 calories
    to go: 235 minutes/2019 calories

    i am fighting injuries right now :( so i am keeping it to light exercise this week...no running til at least friday at this point :( it totally bums me out, but i would rather take a break now than have to take an extended one later...i think my fabulous race on saturday put me over the edge and i have a 7k run on monday that i really want to be able to run hard :) so walking and lighter exercise it is for now
    kim i think i am going to go find a yoga dvd after school tonight...not as fancy as your hot class, but i am encouraged that it will help...i feel like i will need someone with a video camera taping me for america's funniest home videos...i am so not coordinated or flexible :)

    The hot yoga was intense and time consuming. I bought a Groupon for that one. 4 more classes before I reconsider actually buying a punch card. I do feel nice and limber today. Some of the poses were really good for releasing the joints and such to promote healing.

    Just be careful which one you pick...Gaiam, I think is the leader in yoga DVDs...I have tried them before

    I'd be careful of the celebrity ones, like Jillian or some of they others...I'm not saying there are bad; but, it needs to be done properly to avoid injury
