I met him on a gothic, alternative, punk, whatever, dating site. We sent each other e-mails for about six months, lost touch, I e-mailed him out of the blue and he drove 2 hours to my parents house ( I was still in high school ) every other weekend until I graduated and then I moved in with him and we haven't been apart since. Met in 2005, married in 2007, Jasper in 2009 and now we're pregnant with our second! :]0

I met mine at a Super Bowl party. My cousin was a mutual friend and he begged her to set him up with me. So, he called, we set up a date and the rest is history!0
-
plentyoffish.com I ignored him for ages and then deleted the web page but being a computer geek he found me again on fb and we are now in our 3rd year together. Living together is so much fun and hoping one day he will pop the question LOL
Nice thread, happy everything worked out for you0 -
High School. His best friend and my (former) best friend were dating and introduced us. That was in 2000. Engaged in 2006. Married in 2008 and he's still putting up with me. :flowerforyou:0

I meet my husband 16 years ago, I just moved into a new apartment and he was my upstairs neighbor. I bugged him for a week, from borrowing sugar, a hammer, I think a phone book.0

I clubbed the b*tch over her head just over 8 years ago and drug her back to my place. We've been together ever since.
In reality, I popped into the Arizona AOL chat room for a quick minute to harass one of my friends who was in there. Turns out this girl (my now wife) messaged me out of no where right as I was closing out of the room. So for the hell of it, I stayed and chatted with her and ended up marrying her about 2 years later.
Aww how cute!0 -
My fiance and I met through a co-ed service fraternity, Alpha Phi Omega, in college. He was already a brother, I was pledging. I thought he was cute...but quite the jerk! Needless to say, he changed my mind We were friends for a long time and then I realized...my God, I think I like him! As cliche as it sounds, we went from friends to more and we've been together for almost 5 years0

My husband and I were set up on a blind date by his best friend and one of my best friends, who were a couple. He said he was a little scared when he first saw me because I was blonde (and he'd had bad luck with them)! But he thought I was funny, and we hit it off. We met in 1997, got married in 2005, and had our daughter in 2009. Our friends are great matchmakers! Oh, and they got married in 2005 as well.0

I meet my husband now for 13 years at a pool hall/bar 14 years ago. We flirted with each other. I was underage and my brother was feeding me shots and I would make a face. When we were leaving my brother went up to him and asked him for his phone number for me...but he wouldn't give it to him and made me come and ask! Been with each other ever since.0

I'll play! When I was 16 (almost 17) I managed a Jewelry store in the Capitola Village. I walked to work from my house (about a mile). My hubby was in college and worked across the street at a coffee shop, he rode his skateboard to work. He would ride past me everyday. He served me my coffee everyday He would stare at my *kitten* through the giant windows in the jewelry store when I was helping customers. (he admits this) He would tell his friends how cute/ sweet he thought I was (and my *kitten* too). One day I had gotten some terrible news so I went in the coffee shop to think and write it out. We just started talking. Turns out we had many mutal friends. We clicked, it was easy to talk to him, like we are on the same wave pattern. We talked everyday on my lunch break. I actually asked him out. Neither of us had a car at the time so we walked to the movie theater. We have been together ever since. 16 years in Oct. We are the love story of Capitola Village (truly). There are some cute stories on here!0

We actually met on another social networking site called "My YearBook". I saw his picture on one of their game sections and sent him a message. He replied and we started talking through their mail program. Then it moved to Yahoo messenger, then to texting/talking on the phone.
At the time, he lived over 100 miles away from me (other side of the same state). We spent the first year or so of our relationship driving 200 miles round trip to see one another. Even with the distance, we still managed to see one another almost every day. In over a year, I put something like 28,000 miles on my car! I used to have to change the oil once a month. lol.
In September 2010, he found a job here and moved here.
I've used that site before, but never to meet someone. I liked playing the games. Regardless of what my intentions were, I ran into some horrible guys. I deleted that account a long time ago. Actually, I deleted my account at least five times. Haha. Glad you found something good.
And as for me, waiting on that special guy. :] Been single for about 4.5 years, no sense in rushing it, right? It's not like I'm the only single girl my age at church. Wait...0 -
I met my hubby in a parking lot! He and his friend were cruising around. My friend and I stopped, mostly because he had a cool car. But after he got out, I leaned over to my girlfriend and said "That one is mine!" LOL We got married just over a year later and will be married 24 years in July. :-D
This is my story. It was the Winn Dixie parking lot in my home town. We got married on July 8th 1994, 17 years this year.0 -
For five years we had gone to the same high school, knew the same people, and I had even been to his house (which is only 2 miles from my own) without meeting. It took a day trip 30 miles away from where we both live for us to meet.
We've been together ever since that night
I love these sort of "meant-to-be-together" stories. It's like Fate is saying, "Listen, you two idiots, I know what I'm doing... Will you stop playing games and just get together already?"0 -
Met her at the bank. She was a teller. I was a case manager for Mental Health patients at the time waiting to take my Boards. Even though I did not have an account there, I kept going back to ask her to cash my checks for me. I gave her my number after about 2 weeks, but she never called. I broke up with my then girlfriend and told her the reason was because I had found my wife, and needed to spend all my time convincing her of the fact. Of course, she wished me luck---NOTTTT. Anyway, fast forward a few months and I found out she was 8 months pregnant. She said she never called because no one wants to take care of another mans baby. I touched her stomach, and said that this was my child and we chose his name that day. June 6th 2001 was our first day as a couple. I took her home bought a toothbrush on the way. Baby J. S. SaintFleur(my last name and I cut his umbilical cord) was born on 7/15/2001. Home bought together in january 2004, married in July 2004, and baby Syleena arrived in July 2007.
Who would have thunk that almost ten years later, we would be losing weight together? Go Figure.!!!0 -
In '08 after a 4 year hiatus from playing live shows, I was in a cover band that had broken up...quickly....due to drama. The keyboard player (Ralph) told me to stick around because he was going to put another project together. He put out ads through craigslist and one by one started finding us a female bassist and then a singer (my wife), a guitarist and drummer shortly after. She came out to audition with her then boyfriend eyeing me like a hawk. I thought she was kinda cute but really couldn't look at her much because of the stink eye I was getting. She had no previous stage but some karaoke experience, sang a few basic tunes, and Ralph took her in. I told him that he was absolutely nuts not willing to try out anybody else. I was dating someone else at the time, and hadn't really given her much thought. Ralph put the rest of the band together and before we knew it, we were playing out. It's a funny thing what happens when you give it time. After being in the band for about six months, she and I would show up to practice and talk a bit afterwards.....at first it was 10-15 mins extra, but after a while our talks started going longer and longer (practice would finish at 9 and there were nights I didn't get home until 1am lol). Her man worked overnights so he had no clue we were becoming so chatty. We'd talk about anything....who we are, where we came from, family issues, growing up....it really didn't matter. I knew she was in a bad relationship and basically a bad spot overall (family issues with cancer...long story).....so finally I got the nerve to ask her what she was doing with the guy (knowing I would be crossing the friend line) and before I knew it, she ended the relationship with him (found out later there were MANY people telling her to get away from that guy). I already had broken off my relationship a month or two prior because of the overall jealousy and insecurity (you spend so much time with her......) from the girl I was seeing. Family and friends would show up to our shows and were really noting how she and I went back and forth on stage....playful banter, flirting etc. It was like they all saw it well before either of us did. Needless to say we became more and more involved with each other. The band eventually broke up a year later but we haven't been apart since. We will be celebrating our first year of marriage in September.0

My partner and I met through an erotic story site in 2003. I'd just submitted my first story, had a look around at what was there, found some of his, read them, liked them, sent him positive feedback. We started chatting via email and then about a month later, he asked me out to dinner. We've been together ever since!0 -

He lived about 2 hours away from me. But We were both at a party on Canada Day. When I left the party I told him the airline company I worked for ALWAYS flew to his town...(totally a lie) I said I was always there for layovers and that we should hang out!
The next week I called him and told him I was in town and that we should go for coffee....problem is I was driving MY OWN car!
He told me he knew that Westjet didnt fly there and that he thought it was cute I made that up to meet him. I moved in with him within a month. We are now married and have a daughter....But I no longer fly for a living!0 -
I met my husband when I was 12 years old at my uncle's funeral. The very first thing I said to him was "I am gonna marry you someday!"
His mother was dating my cousin. (I am the youngest child in my family of 6 kids and my mother was the youngest child in her family of 13 kids so most of my cousins are a good 15 to 20 years older than me.)
Very soon after my uncle passed away, my husband, his siblings and mother moved in with my cousin so I was around him quite often throughout my teens years.
We got married on January 11, 1992. I was 19 years old! When we were standing at the alter I looked at him and said "I told you so!"
We have been married 19 and a half years!0 -
*giggles*
I was dating his best friend.

OOOoooohhh! I'm TELLIN"! lol
I met my husband at a karaoke show! He has a great deep voice and he's 6'3" so when he first sang, I whipped around because his voice is so deep, it's startling, and I thought, "Holy *kitten*, a GIANT!" We've been together ever since and it's been 18 years!0 -
I live in Georgia, and my husband at the time lived in Illinois! I was about 14/15 years old, he was about 16/17 years old. We were just bored teenagers in a chatroom. We started chatting innocently and we just clicked. We ended up chatting every day! It got to the point where we exchanged phone numbers and would litterally chat for HOURS at night WELL into the next morning! ( Our cell phone bills were both well over $1000 by the way!) So we chatted via internet/phone for over a year and my mom knew I had been talking to this boy religiously, he was sending me gifts and things through the mail, writing letters back and forth, we were dating long distance! My mom and I were just talking about it one day in the kitchen, and she says, "So when is he going to come visit?" I FREAKED! I was surprized that she'd ACTUALLY let this boy I met online come visit!!! Talk about an excited teenage girl squeel! lol I ran up to my room, called him and told him my mom and I were talking about him and she asked when he's coming to visit! So that August when he got up enough money to fly to GA, he did! He stayed with us for a whole week! My mom loved him, we got along great and had an awesome time! I was so upset when he had to go back home. BUT he ended up moving in with us that December in 2004. He got a job about 3 weeks later (which he is still at today, and is assistant manager now!) We have an apartment, a 3 and a half year old son and we just got married last month on the beach! It's been awesome and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with this boy I met online!

We met in college. We both worked at the bus service on campus, he drove bus and I worked in the front desk. I was a little bit of a party girl at the time and had "relations" with several of the other college guys who worked there.
I had met my husband a couple of times before we really met each other and went on a date, etc.
The first time, I gave him a ride home from work one night.
The second time I went to a party at his house, it turned out to be a really lame party. He walked me home though, which was nice since I lived a good 11 blocks away. We held hands. When I got home, I gave him my phone number, a hug and a peck on the cheek. I then promptly called a friend and told her about my good behavior, i.e. not giving him more than a peck on the cheek.
We finally went on a date right before Christmas break. Then we both left for Christmas break and didn't see each other for two weeks, but we texted every day. We officially began dating on January 6, 2007. And have been together since. :happy:0 -
We met at school - I was in 8th grade, he was in 10th (small private school - Jr High & High School in the same room). Got engaged the night I graduated high school and were married a year later. We will celebrate our 20th anniversary next month.0
