    I don't want to be overweight!!!!! I want to get in shape because I want to set a good example for my kids. I want them to be active. We love doing things outdoors. I want to be able to keep up with them on bike rides and all the other activities we do. We are a very active family. Plus now that I have definitely kicked the smoking habit and can breathe I am finding that I actually love to exercise!!!!!

    Donated blood today and hit my 6 gallon mark and earned my 6 gallon pin.
    well better calorie day w2d2 was good burned 358 calories and did 15 mins of weightlifting. and now I am exhausted. probaqbly shouldn't have worked so hard tonight after my donation but I didn't want to fall behind on workouts.
    Down to 216.6lbs

    Yes, we check in once a week. You pick your weigh in day just to keep us updated on your progress. Also if you go to the ticker factory you can create a fun Halloween ticker to add to your signature. Good Luck!
  • I know I weigh in on Fridays (I think a lot of people weigh in then too) but i know others who have other days and update. Doesn't really matter. :wink:

    GOAL - 190 lbs.

    so, i had a goal of 185.8 to be out of the "obese" category by Halloween, but i know that would be pretty much impossible, so i changed my goal to 190 :bigsmile: i'm just really excited to be under 200!!

    I don't think it would matter, I think i used my starting weight the day i replied (or the weigh in closest to that date if that was the case).

  • Thanks. I happen to have weighed in on 07/01, so I went with that.

    Starting Weight = 294.0
    Current Weight = 266.0
    Challenge Loss = 28.0 lbs.

    I just realized that I am half-"weigh" to my goal. :smile:

    I am so excited this week!!! I'm down 3 lbs since last Friday AND I not only met, but passed half-way to goal!!! Hoping I can keep this up :) 16.8 lbs down since the start of this challenge!!

    It took a while to find the thread again. It's on like page 5 or something. Hopefully with us all posting it will keep it up top till everyone finds it. I wish this site had a button that took you straight there.

    Anyway, welcome to the new people. I post my weight as I lose it. I don't have a specific day and I don't post gains. I do weigh everyday cuz if I don't I won't keep my motivation to avoid temptation and stay on track.

    I'm not working out this week cuz I'm getting over some terrible jet lag. By next week I will be back on my game and hopefully push through the last 14lbs I have left to lose in the next 2 months. That's 7lbs a month. Hopefully that's not too hard of a goal.

    I'm down 1.4 lbs this week, which brings me to 11 lost in July and August so far. I am aiming for 20 lbs lost for the challenge, but would love to lose more than that. More weight-lifting and cardio this month!

    Have you been doing the same thing for 5wks? As in you're eating the same way, no days off, exercise is the same etc. Your body could be just hitting a plateau or getting too use to what it's getting. If you haven't had any days off in a long while I would. Nothing too crazy but eat something you like for dinner or have a that extra piece of pizza or glass of wine. Your metabolism needs a wake up. Also if you're exercising you may need to change it up for a week or so to give your body and muscles a jolt. Other than that you could just be in a rut but I'm sure you'll get over the hump soon. Good luck.

    I think it may be the exercise that is doing it. I have tried everything food wise, zig zagging, eating more, eating less, not eating at all. I have been constant with the same exercise though as I just finished the 30 day shred yesterday. Hopefully the new none shredding me will start to lose again.
