    From lee . . .

    PLEASE READ SKIPPERS !!!!

After a very good point was made to me by Heather75 (thanks honey), its occurred to me that that i have acted quite irresponsible!

I know that people like to have the games up front so they can plan there weeks etc, however i know that a lot of people are killing themselves to move their boat...... and a few are risking injury !

to that end i will be inserting REST DAYS in to our challenge, but will think of a different way that people can still move the boat.

THIS WEEK WEDNESDAY WILL BE A REST DAY and CALS WILL NOT COUNT ! HOWEVER THE WATER element will still count.

there will be a rest day EVERY WEEK ! but will compensate by adding an extra double day etc

I hope you understand why i am doing this, i just want to make sure that we all complete the game safe and healthy !

please bump and any none captains that do bump if you can make sure your captain is aware !

    Lee

That is not fair to plan a rest day on someone's else's schedule. Many people like to workout on a wednesday (or any particular day) because of their work schedules, a particular training schedule (personal trainers), meeting with friends to workout, working out on days due to family obligations, etc.

Lee, if you are reading this, why not rethink the "rest strategy" and perhaps look at the person's entire week, and if they did NOT rest on any day of that week, their "highest" cal burn will not count? Or their highest cal day will be subtracted from the total? I know this sounds too complex, but better this way than tamper w/ people's set schedules.

Thank you for considering our health, but also consider our lives built around working out, not this challenge.

I feel the challenge makes us work harder though when we do work out, and that is the reason why I joined the challenge, to work out harder, not to workout so that my schedule will work with this challenge.

    Thanks in advance :)

07/15 300 calories (walking at work on the hour)
    07/16 2861 x 3 = 8583 (11 mile hill run)
    07/17 Rest Day
    07/18 Rest Day
    07/19 1050 x2 = 2100
    07/20 720 (Hip Hop Class)
    07/21 1220 (Tempo Run + 2 mile walk)
    07/22 0 (Rest Day)
    07/23 2890 x 3 = 8670 (12 mile hill run)
    07/24 600 (Setting up/Taking Down/Serving Family Reunion)

PS: with regards to the rest days... I posted that I think each person should be mandated to take a rest day once per week when calories will not count, but that it should be up to the person. I always take a rest day on Fridays...

Thats what I liked too. Only 6 burns a week per person with everyone taking their personal rest day.

Oh and as for a rest day based on team level I'm pretty easy since I stay at home with my kids. I also tend to drink water like a fish and 12 cups a day is not abnormal for me, so I'll hit the 90 miles with no issues on water day.

I don't care if it's chosen that calories aren't counted on a "mandatory rest day" - but I probably won't be taking them. My system is obviously very erratic lately, so I need to work out whenever I can because there will clearly be entire weeks when I can't. My current burns are still really low for that same reason. Ever since I got two weeks ago, things haven't been right. I wasn't THAT sick for crying out loud, but it either triggered a bigger reaction, acted as a catalyst, or that's one helluva' coincidence.

Either way, I'm obviously the lowest burning team mate at the moment, and that isn't going to do much for me in getting in shape, losing weight or generally getting healthy. So, I won't be taking intentional rest days - Captain, be prepared to just make my calories a zero for whatever day it needs to be. Call it what you will on paper. I'll take a rest day if and when I actually need one (and I will.. more a matter of when than if). Heh.

    Kisses all!

    Hi everyone..!

As you probably can tell, I haven't done any exercise since Thursday... :embarassed:

Was gearing up for triple day on Saturday, but life got in the way...

I've chilled out over the last 3 days & didn't really eat all that healthily....

But guess what, I'm down a pound since Friday....

I will be back on the grind today though.... Planning to do CLX.... and since it's double day, I will also try to get some cardio in...

    Hello Everybody.

Sorry for not being around this week. I hurt my back quite badly last week and had to miss a few days of work. Between rest and pain killers I am ready to try the ellipticle today (looking forward to using my FT4 for the first time). I was able to walk during my recovery so hopefully I was not to much of a burden to the team.

I am working to get the team updated. So that our map position can reflect all your hard work.

    Burner of the Week
Samerah averaged over 1015 calories per day for week 3!!!!!!!!!!!

    Most Improved
Yeesabelly increased her burn by over 60% over last week.
