    Sorry I have been MIA. I had a pretty rough week. I was having severe back issues, thy aren't new but they were making it so I could barely walk. MRI showed multiple bulging discs and two torn ones, so yesterday I ate my feelings. And I am on a new birth control and it is really messing with my hormones! I am up for the water challenge! I usually challenge myself to this everyday and forget about it half way through!

    So needless to say, the last couple of days I have been eating my feelings, but before that I wasn't eating back my exercise calories and usually wasn't meeting my calorie limit. I am down to 233.8! I was expecting a serious gain this week! Ugh, Doc says nothing more strenuous than slow walking until we get my back figured out :( And even walking isn't supposed to be for more than 15 min at a time. UGH!

    Definitely take your time w/ any sort of injury. You do not want to make it worse!! I speak from experience ~ it isn't worth it. I hope you feel better. I have back issues in my lower back...and I have a birth defect in my neck (a partial congenial fusion). I know that hurts!! Take it easy, girl!

    Amber, good luck at the party! I am proud of you for thinking ahead on the water!! I will see about finding a big water bottle to carry around with me on vacation!! I have my 4 year old nieces bday today. Praying that I keep my focus...especially after these past few days of screwing up!!

    Just glad I was able to maintain that for 2 weeks straight after bouncing from 219.8 to 222.2 for over a month.

    Morning Ladies!
    Well...August 1st tomorrow. If you're anything like me the 1st is always a day of "starting over". I was wondering if we'd like to share what our goals are for the month. Then maybe we can reflect and express new goals on Sept. 1 and so on, Sound good?

    My goal for the month of August is to try to get to 215 or below AND to make it through the weekends without eating myself into oblivion and having to spend the whole week losing what I gained! I think if I can do the second the first will be very easy! :)

    My goal for August is to get into the 220's and go back to work in 2 weeks, get ready for the kids & be able to keep up with the 3,4 & 5 year old special needs children in my classroom. Plus, we are going to be packing up the room in a couple of months and move everything to a new classroom, so I need to be able to keep up with everything that is going on, while working on my weight loss goals! And yes, everything has to be moved, because they are tearing down the old building where we are currently located. I am also excited about going back to work, since I am going back without using a cane to walk!!

    August goals...well I would like to get into the low 220's I am in the middle right now. It would be amazing if I could get around 219 or lower but I am not going to set unrealistic expectations. My weight is a slow process as I am just doing weights and watching my calories. No crazy fad diets just being me and eating healthy. I personally think that this is the right way to go. But hey that is my personal opinion!

    Not sure what my weigh in on Wednesday will be like as I am not working out at the gym or pressing play of the JM DVD's, I am just enjoying the long weekend fun. Its Simcoe Day here in Canada so Monday is a Satutory holiday! Doing lots of walking and swimming. So I guess I am still exercising. I don't eat pork so today I had pork the first time in almost 2 months we shall see how my body feels tomorrow.

    I will record everyone's weigh in's on Tuesday when I get to work. I hope everyone is having a awesome weekend!

    Hmmmm what is my goal for August...for one to take good care of my knee and get it back to normal all the way so I can start back up doing Zumba and the elliptical (my two favorite things!) And I will set a weight goal to be 215 by the end of August! Thanks for the idea, by the way too! It's very helpful to have more short term goals :)

    My August goals: to focus on my water consumption and to hit my half way mark of 30 lbs down. I need to lose 6ish lbs to accomplish that.

    Hubby says if I hit 215 this month he'll buy me a new workout outfit! :)

    Well, we were out of town all weekend so I was without a scale, but I weighed in this morning. Here are the numbers:

    Starting weight: 225.8
    07/23/11: 221.8
    08/01/11: 221.2

    Only down a little bit this week...I can't complain much after last week's loss though.

    One goal I have for August is to keep drinking water and try to reach at least 12 cups a day, even on the weekends. I ALWAYS seem to have problems getting my water in on the weekends. Also I'd like to try to shoot for being 215 by the end of the month...that's a 6 pound loss so it's doable, but I'll have to work hard to get there.

    Weighin in today at 200.9. Seeems like it is taking forever for that scale to drop below 200! I get close then go back up a little. My goal right now is to get under 200 before 8/14 - we leave for a few days of beach vacation then, and I want to get below 200 before we go. I know I will most likely go back up a bit at the beach, & I feel like being under 200 when we go will make me feel extra motivated to stay there!!
  • I had a bad weekend. I measured and weighed today. I went up 2 lbs and my inches have fluctuated. Some places are lower, some are larger. I did, however, start my period this weekend, so I'm going to attribute some of my gain to that. The rest of it, I will attribute to going over my calorie limit and completely failing to get off of my heiney to work out.

    Today, however, I'm back on the wagon.

    I am thinking that I will have gained over the long weekend too. I didn't workout at the gym or here with the DVD's but I did get outdoors and did a ton of walking and swimming. My hubby actually told me tonight that I am slacking with the working out. His way of saying I want to play my playstation instead of taking a moment of "quality time" while the kids are in the bathtub. MEN!

    Ok didn't think my workout buddy was going to workout today so I did the Wii. She is my ride to the gym since my transmission is going out on my car. BUT she decided to go when she got off work sooooooooooooooo YEAH! Got a great workout in today!

    My August goals wil be:
    1) work out 4xs a week at least
    2) get down to 220
    3) drink my allotted water amount daily

    Keep up the great work, ladies! You are doing awesome! I am sooo not looking forward to my weigh in on Wednesday - a day later this week since I am on vacation. Goodness, I have tried to make better choices...had a salmon salad the other night and today we treated the kids to Ben and Jerrys and I got sugar free key lime. Tons of water. I screwed up tonight at Mellow Mushroom because we met some friends that live near where we are staying and I have had a headache all day. I thought I was having withdrawals from caffeine or something, so I had tea. And two slices of pizza and a spinach salad. Should have only had my normal 1 slice. I am not even a big pizza lover...mainly red sauced pizzas. These were white pizzas, so I didn't resist.

    I like the idea of having a monthly goal. My August goal is going to be to have a loss of atleast .5 every week. The last 2 months I have been struggling to get the weight off because I had gotten lazy with the exercise. So I guess in turn another August goal would be to get back on the exercise bandwagon.

    Goals this month.....Well going on a vacation/family reunion this month to Wis. So for one hoping I won't gain any weight on vacation. Trying to workout 4 to 5 days a week at least an hour.

    Way to go to those who weighed in today! I will be weighing in on Friday...I gained 2.6lbs over the long weekend. And so far I have lost 1.7lbs of this. Will be recording on Friday hopefully I will see a much lower number on the scale!!!
