Mmm, red wine!
I'm starting to think that I should up my daily calories again. They were set at 1400 and I was barely losing, then I put them at 1580 and got a little bit of a jolt, now I seem to be stalling again (I know this because I've gotten into the bad habit of weighing myself every morning). Some ladies on another thread who are around my weight (or have been around my weight) told me that they stop losing if they eat only 1500 while exercising too, so since they exercise almost every day they eat 2000 calories per day to lose consistantly. Wow! It's scary eating MORE calories, but I've bumped mine up to 1800 to see what happens. Because of that, I had almost 550 calories left over yesterday, even after having eaten 1/2 cup of Ben & Jerry's Coffee Heath Bar Crunch with dinner! Yikes. We shall see...0 -

Good luck, Pam! Sometimes it really does help!! I have found that some of my best ever weight losses are after consistently dieting and then having a few servings of ice cream. I thought I would gain, but I would have a several pound loss!!

OK so everyone is doing amazing with the weight loss so far! And for those of us who struggled this week. **** happens! LOL! Just need to push harder for the rest of the week!!
I think my plan is every month I will post the combined weight loss as a group and if people want to kow what they loose every month I can post that too.

I have been thinking for the past two days about my August goals and the way I have been setting goals. With my new back issues (I went in for a second MRI today, had that done and they ordered a 3rd one ) and an absolutely self defeating day today, my goals are changing. First, I want to work on my mind set. I always feel like its all or nothing, and not being able to seriously exercise is killing me, so I am going to work on being more self-nurturing. I am going to count calories but worry a lot more about nutrition than I have been. And, if all goes well, I would like to get into the 220's (currently at 234). I am so glad that you ladies are all here for support, this is generally the point in my weight loss that I give up and gain it all back and more....August is going to be my push through month.0

I really need to stop weighing myself every morning...I'm up today. I've decided that my body just must hate me. I had the realization this morning that I've lost 7.8 pounds in the last 6 weeks, but 4 of those pounds were all in one week and 2.8 of those pounds were in another. So basically for the other 4 weeks I only lost 1 pound. What the...?? The scale is driving me batty.
Sorry, just needed to vent for a second there.0 -

Yeah I really need to slack off weighing myself all the time too! It becomes an obsession almost...get up in the morning, pee, weigh myself...have coffee, poop, weigh myself again LOL (sry if TMI) I need to just step on every other morning or something!0

I weigh myself every morning too...with the scale at home. For the longest time it was not reading the same numbers as the scale at work. And now it does! In fact yesterday on my scale at home it said I was 226.6 but at work it said I was 227.2. LOL!
Well today is weigh in for me - I use the scale at work for my weigh ins...hopefully I will see a decrease in lbs :ohwell:0 -
My weigh in for this week is 233.4. Only down .4 pounds, but with the stressful week I have had I am sooo happy it is not a gain!0

So from the weekend I gained just under 3lbs....as of today I have lost all this wait and I am back to what I weighed last week. Nice! I have lost only 3 ounces this week from last Wednesday's weigh in but hey its better than nothing! Now I can eat my breakfast!0

You all are doing awesome! Tomorrow is my weigh-in day and first Sat so I do measurements too.
The lady from work that I go to gym with told me tonight that another of our co-workers said to her how she can see I am losing weight! Well compliment wasn't directly said to me but still felt good. I have yet to have someone to compliment me on my weight loss unsolicited. All I can say is take pictures. I really hate having my picture taken but can see the difference when I look at some old pictures. Also measure, I do mine the beginning of the month. Sometimes the loss is not in weight but in inches.0 -
