Ok, y'all, I need your opinion. I am going back through 30DS and it is still REALLY hard for me, I sweat like crazy and everything burns. But, I can do everything, just not easily, and I am still following Anita for some of it. FYI, before I started 30 DS, my only forms of exercise were sitting on the couch and carrying a baby around. I started 30DS right when I started to focus on losing weight and getting healthier.
I am getting really nervous thinking about doing Ripped because it is harder.... do you all think I am ready for it, or should I stick with 30DS until I am more fit? I am ok either way, but since I have no experience with Ripped, I don't really know which way to go. Opinions?

Ok- so basically I said screw it and exercised today (ran and did Ripped). I know I was supposed to wait until I saw the doctor, but what the hell can 1 day do right- and in all honesty I feel SO much better (my outlook over all demeanor-not my foot)!!! So did L2D1 today- I can not crawl up my leg for those crunch moves in circuit 3- seriously just can't do it. And I must be deformed because I can NOT lift my butt off the ground for the ab hold into table tops :ohwell:

If you're deformed, so am I!! I thought my arms were too short... I couldn't do the crawl-up-the leg thing at first, but i just did day 4 and am getting there. Still can't do the first cardio- plank jacks and mountain thingies without mods for most of it!0 -
Week 1 Day 1 just finished!! I now have an even deeper respect for everyone who's moved on to level 2! Wow!! Good workout (i'm still shaking and dripping sweat - calorie burn of 360). I really enjoyed it though, I surprised myself and completed the whole thing without a single break. Way to go everyone! Happy to finally be joining you and not just watching from the sidelines

Level 3 day 2 done, feeling a bit sore in the shoulders and arms today. I can see a real difference in my muscles compared to day 1. I cant wait to see what they are like in a couple of weeks!!

Just wanted to post...
1st--want to put that I have complete faith in this program and I know it changes your body shape! It is great, so don't stop!
Now with that said...I am burning myself out and I have to make some changes before I fall off altogether. (not only that, but I am neglecting everything else at home...)
I am going to change my focus to calories burned/cardio until I can get down into the 160's. I know that the number on the scale isn't what counts, but it has been very upsetting to be working so hard (harder than usual) since mid June and I haven't gotten into the 160's (been fluctuating between 172-175 for 6 weeks).
So I am going to do Cardio Jam Sun/Mon/Fri/Sat night at home...since I can Zumba on Tue/Wed/Thur at work, I think I will have enough energy to do the RI30 those nights at home. So I am not stopping it altogether, will just take me 4 weeks to finish these last 2 levels.
Just wanted to let you know why I am slowing down...0 -

since not doing Ripped since Thursday- i got my butt out of bed today and finally got it in. I kinda fall off on the weeknds b/c i don't find the TV time to get it done without distractions- and i like to sleep in on the weekends!! I'm better disciplined when i have to get up at 6am, so to squeeze it in before work!! I have been adding a run after too- hoping the fat starts catching a clue that i want it GONE!!!

I finished level 2 tonite. I'm a day behind now though as I should be on level 3 by now. Had a heavy weekend and it was the wife's birthday so missed getting ripped on Sunday. And was dead on Monday. Back it at tonite and will catch up during the week all being well as I'm off on Thursday.

Ugh, yeah...level 3 is better is some ways, but sucks in others. Jumping planks are rediculous...I don't see how those are done safely! Oh well...such is life!

Depending on how much weight I lose, I want to do 6 week 6 pack (I have the DVD already but want to do it when I get closer to my goal weight!!) If not, I have a few other JM DVDs I will alternate, combined with swimming and some cardio (gym machines). I am also going to check out some of the fitness classes my University offers once school gets started again!
Finished level 1 day 3! One thing I've noticed with this level... there aren't any moves that I hate. With 30DS, there was always one or two moves that got me swearing when they started, lol. In this one, I don't mind them!! All that much more motivation!
There are soo many people up in the 3rd and 4th weeks already! Congrats!! Can't wait to see the results that will be posted soon! keep with it!

I just finished Level 2 Day 1. I thought it was easy until I started doing the plank jacks...plank mountain climbing....then from there on, I started doing mods. :-) I try to go to the gym too on Tues and Thurs night for step and sculpting class too...need to incorporate cardio to lose weight too. Hopefully I'll get rid of this stubborn 15 lbs before the end of the year. Do you know what is the ideal weight for a 4'10" woman? I went online earlier today and the site I saw says "between 88 (or something like that) - 99 lbs."

day 2 of week 3 done for me. will be hitting it again later today as i owe jillian an extra workout after taking a day off recently so i want to catch up while i'm off work today. definitely enjoy level 3 more than level 2.although its obviously working me hard coz i still sweat like mad!
not sure what workout i'll do next. might keep 6w6p for october as that will lead up nicely to my holiday in mid november. whatever i do i hope there's a thread like this to follow coz its too easy to phone it in otherwise! :laugh:

YOU ARE A NUT!! i'm happy to squeeze in one workout a day- let alone TWO!! but GOOD FOR YOU!!! i'm jealous b/c i'm having a VERY OFF week:( I am seeing results- so i ask myself- why do I slow down...i should be doing the opposite?!?
I will start L3D1 tomorrow morning but then I can't do day 2 until tuesday- going away with girlfriends for a bachlorette party weekend...hoping to be somewhat of a good girl!?!? I do plan to at least get a 2 mile run in Saturday before the festivities!

lol - you'd think so but sometimes my weekends get a bit crazy and i can easily miss a day through being severely hungover. :drinker:
and i know i'm out tomorrow nite with friends that also like to party hard so saturday could be tough for some jillian time. but i'll try and squeeze it in somewhere.......(famous last words)0 -
I like reading this blog...pushes me to try harder and sticking to the program. Just got home from step and sculpting class. My legs are in pain, not just from the workout tonight but also from the Ripped work out last night :-)

I have decided im doing 6 week six pack and burn fat boost metabolism/cardio kickbox after this, just to change things up
