  • Lori....if Richard Simmons showed up on my doorstep looking like that, it'd bring on a 5-mile run...and I'm not a runner!! hahah!!
And I'm right behind ya!!

I bet it would be the most hilarious 5 miles we have ever ran.

  • I wanted to post this for anyone who missed it on my profile page today. I have a sweet tooth and looking for alternatives. This is what I came up with to replace Nutella. I used almond milk to make the mousse. They have a caramel version that I will try next and use it to dip apples in. Turned out pretty good. B+

    Good morning everyone!
Sorry I didn't post yesterday, I had an assignment due and then after that I just crashed. I was so tired that went to bed really early and slept like a baby. I think I was getting a bit run down as was burning the candle at both ends. Anyway hope I caught up on all my sleep. So yesterday went well, did my sit ups and mountain climbers, ate under my cals and drank all my water. Today I plan to get the team some extra miles to make up for the last few days.
Hope everyone has an awesome day!!!

Sorry guys, I was really bad today. I ended up going out for happy hour. Drank alcohol and ate bad foods. I only went 200 calories over which is not so bad but I just got home so I did'nt even do any of the challenges. I am walking tomorrow 2 miles during lunch so hopefully that will make up for some of this. I am sooo tired right now and feel horrible for messing up, but tomorrow is a new day and I am moving forward.

    Calories - under

Since I pulled an ab muscle yesterday, I'm feeling like a slacker, but ....

For today's challenge, I did pelvic tilts instead of sit ups and I was able to do a slower and less impact version of the mountain climber.

Trying to take it easy on the abs so that I can get back in gear.
  • Complete on all levels! Victory today!

Sorry, guys. I have an interview in the morning and already showered today...I'm not supposed to wash my hair everyday and I can't show up to a salon for an interview with greasy, post-sweat hair... so no challenges. And the calories, um... I really need to get this cake frosting out of my house.

    Ok....so, here's the good:

Under cals: WAY under (I didn't eat before my BP class and forgot I had to fast for 12 hours, so couldn't eat after!!)
    Water: WAY over
    Mtn Climbers: 50
    Crunches: 100!!!
I also logged 2 miles on foot and 1.5 miles on bike for the extra 100 miles. I pledged 7, have done 6.5 now.

    Now, on to the bad:
The people that are on Lori's "naughty list".....let's take a look at this. How dedicated are you REALLY?? C'mon...this is your health your talking about...as well as the fact that the team is depending on you for your contribution to our success!! I'm frustrated and tired of sugar-coating my frustration! Many of us are busting our butts, and, as a team, we're not succeeding due to a few people with seemingly little remorse for letting us down ("oops...sorrrry!")!! I shake my head at the lack of GOOD reasons for not doing good for yourself or your team. Good intentions won't get you healthy...failure is not an option for your health!!!

Can we get back on track here? Think about WHY you didn't make the challenge parameters for the day and try to get real about whether you're really serious about getting your weight/health under control. This challenge is a PERFECT way to "step-up" your efforts!! Take it ON....challenge it back!!!

Ok, there's my rant...love me or hate me...I just HAD to get that off my chest...as one of the team members who's busting my butt.....

Well today went ok. They were able to redo the root canal..(which is never fun, but better than the alternative)....and he numbed the crap out of my face. I'm talking I was numb up to my ears! literally. So at least it didn't hurt. But now its a waiting game to see if this fixes everything, they also gave me some stuff for the pain till the aching hopefully goes away. But it make me really tired...which was not good when I had to make that dang 2 hour drive home! Thank goodness for audio books! Not looking forward to this dental bill either....

Calories - Over :( - Though I still have 2 hours left...so if I manage to burn another 200 cals I let you know.
    Water- check
Challenge - check - my daughter likes doing the mountain climbers

I also walked 3 miles today. I haven't worked out a new work out routine yet (in the middle of changing everything around). So I don't know if those will count towards the group or not.

VIRGO!!!!!!!! What am I gonna do with you? Do I need to show up on your doorstep and spend 24 hours with you?!!! I wish I could. Talk to me, what's goin on? I got a challenge for you today Virgo. Remember how you posted the binge video and I was like nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!! Ok well instead find me a video/song about rising from the ashes and PERSEVERANCE!!! LOVE YOU!!! You are the most creative person ever and I know you can do this!!!!

Here is your song - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9DOqUG4HxqM

    "
I been knocked down so many times
    Counted out 6, 7, 8, 9
Written off like some bad deal
If you're breathing you know how it feels
Call it karma, call it luck
    Me, I just don't give a

    [Chorus:]
Bounce, Bounce Nothing's gonna keep me down
Bounce, Bounce Stand up, shout it out
Bounce, Bounce I play hard, I play to win
Count me out, count me in
    I'll be bouncing back again

This ain't no game; I play it hard
Kicked around, cut, stitched and scarred
I'll take the hit but not the fall
I know no fear, still standing tall
You can call it karma, call it luck
    Me, I just don't give a

    [Chorus:]
Bounce, Bounce Nothing's gonna keep me down
Bounce, Bounce Stand up, shout it out

Jill, you said what many of us are thinking/feeling!!
I look at our forum every morning in the hope that we had met the previous days tasks - it's now the 11th of the month and we haven't done it yet!!
Frustrated?? I'm way past that now - I'm now wondering 'what's the point?' Why bother busting my gut to complete the tasks?
