ive seen people advocating to skip entire meals or to replace meals with diet soda/sugar free redbull. That's not healthy3

Girls saying their periods have stopped and people telling them not to worry that it's 'normal'0

"protein doesn't make you fat" and " fruits are natural so don't worry about the sugar". *Sigh* anything eaten over a calorie limit will turn to fat, protein or fruit. yes you can get fat from eating too much fruit. yes you can get fat from eating too much protein. so many myths. as an aside, i'm always surprised when people don't realize that vegetables are carbs. i dont see that much here on MFP but i do in the real world.0

Run heel-to-toe!
no no NO NO NO!!!! Unless you wanna eff up your joints, you need to land mid-foot (or slightly forward of mid-foot).2 -
Do only cardio and lose the weight FIRST before incorporating strength training into your routine. :grumble:0

it doesn't matter what you eat as long as you don't go over your calorie goal...
does this mean I can eat a whole package of Oreos and still lose weight as long as that's all I eat all day???0 -
I saw someone post that vegetables are "negative calories."0

"I burned 783 calories in 14 minutes on the elliptical, should I eat back those calories?"1 -
I saw someone post that vegetables are "negative calories."

The problem with threads like this is that many of the people who list their "worst" advice will then replace it with something equally inaccurate.
Two of the biggest mistakes are people making absolutist statements, e.g. "HRMs are the ONLY way to accurately measure calories", "HIIT workouts are the best way to burn fat", "cardio burns muscle", "weights ALWAYS before cardio", etc, etc, and people using their personal experience as "proof".
Oh, and any statement that begins with "My (a) trainer told me....." usually ends up very badly.1
