I was browsing Amazon and saw this work-out. Do you need to have a treadmill for it?

How does everyone else log their "Leslie miles"? I have just been logging it as "walking 5.0" Am I giving myself too much credit? I'm still a bit new to MFP and trying to get the hang of it! :-)

I've wondered this too, it seems it should be more than just the miles walked because of all the arm movements and the ones that use the weights or bands. I am logging the 3 mile walk as walking 4.5. So far I have not done any of the higher mile walks so not sure about them.

I meant to comment on this the other day. I would log as walking 4.0 mph cause that is the same as if you were walking outside at the pace of 15 minutes a mile. I believe most of her dvds are 15 minute miles. I know she throws in other moves but personally I would rather under estimate than over.

@asyouseefit no treadmill necessary you simply walk in place in your living room or wherever and basically thats the gist with a few arm moves, kicks and knee raises.

I also just log all my WATP miles as 4.0 mph. I know atleast some of her fast miles are 12 minute miles, but her slow miles are done in 15 minutes.

Last time I had checked in I hadn't done much walking well that seriously changed this week already.

    Goal: 45
    Miles done: 36
    Miles to go: 9

I'm hoping to go over my goal but you never know what will come up, but that's my new goal to exceed my first goal :)
  • My cousin just told me about this program .. and I wanted to check it out.... do you guys really like it??? I might have to invest instead of just doing zumba all the time... i think I need a change.. but something that works to ... thoughts?

I do WATP and Zumba to get a variety of workouts. It is good to mix it up! If you want to try and figure out which dvds to get, you may want to check out www.collagevideo.com. You can preview exercise dvds there to see which ones you like! For WATP and/or Leslie's dvds, here is the direct link: http://www.collagevideo.com/exercise-videos/leslie-sansone-exercise-videos-10

I am 16 miles in. Have two Zumba sessions the next two nights, so I may have to slip in a walk on Friday morning before weigh in on Saturday!

I agree I mix it in with other workouts as well. Plus its nice to have when its too hot or too cold or too nasty outside. To add in the clips you can also go to you tube she has 2 15 minute videos there, so if you do both you get a 30 minute workout and walk 2 miles :)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ndVjwkaLGDk

I just checked and noticed I hadn't logged in since Sunday. I'm still doing great with the walking. Haven't missed a day in September yet.

BTW....I only do WATP videos.....like them better than some of my other exercise dvds. Also, I don't live anywhere near a gym, so I have to work out at home. I do have a home gym with some equipment including an elliptical bike and a treadmill, but I just really like doing the WATP videos. Anyway, by sticking to 1200 calories a day, and doing anywhere from a 2 mile to a 5 mile walk with Leslie each day....I've lost just over 10 pounds in 21 days. Woo hoo!

    Day 19 of challenge
WATP 5 mile advanced walk - 2 fast miles, 1 mile with hand weights, 1 mile using the ab belt, and 1 mile using the stretchie band.

    Day 20 of challenge
WATP 4 fast miles - 1 mile with stretchie band

    Day 21 of challenge
    WATP 3 fast miles

    September Goal- 50 miles
Miles walked so far - 66
Miles to go - met my Sept goal.
