wow, YOU LOOK FANTASTIC - what are you doing???0 -
I had 2 c-sections. Kids are 12 yo and 4 yo. The belly is getting smaller I'm still working on it! It might not go away totally but it will be the best I can do without surgery. (by the way this is the result of about 60 days of diet and 30 days of Turbo Jam, I didn't start to exercise until 30 days into my diet) Good luck on getting rid off the pouch everyone!
YOU look great!! great JOB0 -
Jkuhn ~ yeah, my TT is years away, if I ever get one, it's one of those things, it would be nice, but there are more important things to spend money on!
Sissamae ~ Good luck on the 30 day shread! I'd love to follow your progress if you don't mind. Will you be taking pictures?
Yes, I am quoting myself, I ended up having that tummy tuck, Just had it Friday!
Here is me before:
It has been 3.5 years since my last c-section. I started last year in a size 10, and this year in a size 6. There was no way my tummy was going to recover, especially since I weighed so much before even getting pregnant. I had my abdominal wall stitched up along with removing excess skin.
I'm no trying to bring you down, but not everyone will bounce back from childbirth, and I was one of them. I did this for me, and no one else
This looks exactly like my stomach! Hoping I don't have to go down the surgery route0 -
I don't have any of my pregnancy photos to share, but here is my 'After Twin Pregnancy and Four Rounds of P90X' photo! The day I checked out of the hospital from hospital bedrest I was 36 weeks, 1 day and I measured 61" around (that is 5'1"... my mom is that height!) I gained approx. 37 lbs. from pregnancy and needed to lose about 15 lbs. of pre-baby weight too. I had my boys in 2005, started working out again in 2008 and started P90X in July of 2010. Right now I weight 136 lbs and I'm 5'8" (but closer to 5'9" than 5'8").
Cheers!
YOU LOOK FANTASTIC!!!! all i can say is WOW0 -
Here I am 9 months AFTER I gave birth!! (No, I am not pregnant in this photo!)
and here I am as of yesterday.....I now weigh in my low 120's (gained a few pounds of muscle from hardcore working out)
YOU LOOK GREAT - what an inspiration!!!!0 -
I hear you ! I have an 8 ( almost 9 ) year old son ... and then went on to have twins ... they will be 3 in March ! I am SO discouraged by my stomach , and fear it will never fully tone back up !
Water Water Water !0 -

MINE TOO! I know I will probably have to have surgery.0 -
Here I am at 39 weeks with baby #2. I was 120 pounds when I got pregnant and was about 178 here (gave birth a couple of days later). The second picture is of me now (he's 8 but I lost all of my weight by the time he was 18 months). However my stomach looks much better now than ever due to the weight training. I do mostly heavy weights and little cardio. I just watch my diet and workout 4-5 times a week for about 45 minutes. I weigh 110 now.
beautiful..good for you...I'd love to have a stomach like that do you go to the gym or work out at home?
I do both! I go to the gym when I want to do a variety of weight training, but I have some dumbbells and a 45lb barbell at home so I do some stuff here...mostly Tabata training - look it up, it is a great way to train!
hmmm tabata training..I will def look into that...so you use the 45lb barbell for squats and deadlifts? what size weight do you use for arms etc? I'm just getting started here so I'm curious..0 -

10 pounds down... another 10 to go, and a lot of toning... I've been on this new "lifestyle for 5 weeks now.." had 2 kids in 2 years.. a 7 month old and a 23 month old..0 -

Exactly...squats and deadlifts mostly, sometimes thrusters (another good one to look up), for my shoulders and arms I'll do 10-15lb dbs (but starting out I used 5-8lbs) and lots of situps, scissor legs, pushups, tricep dips, jumproping, lunges, kettlebell swings, burpees, etc.0 -

I LOVE this thread! I have a 16 month old gorgeous baby girl whom I completely adore, but boy did I struggle to lose weight after my pregnancy. I was pretty careful while pregnant and exercised up to 36 weeks, and gained 35 pounds (at 5.4"). I did have natural birth, and I was so confident I would lose the weight quickly through breastfeeding - everyone around me did, but I just couldn't. Not a single kg would come off and I breastfed for a year. Finally, after I weaned her, the weight started to drop (very slowly) and I started to really focus and worked out. Now, 4 months later I've surpassed my pre-preggy weight and am going to focus on toning. I am so grateful for MFP and all the friends that have offered me the most amazing support. Everyone here is just incredible! You can all be proud to be hot mammas! It's not an easy road, but yes, worth it 100%!

I am getting really down about my tummy really hoping I don't have to resort to surgery as I can't afford it! Anyone had any luck toning a bit of loose skin?0

I'm a little half way there but here is what's left of the mom pooch. I had a csection, vbac 18 months later and baby is now 9 months old. Please dont mind my hobo shorts ;/
This is awesome! Your before pics look a lot like mine...I can't tell from the pics if you have stretch marks or loose skin like I do though. I was getting really depressed seeing everyone's bellies that look better in their "before" than mine do after 10 lbs down, but seeing your "after" pic has motivated me to keep moving!!! Tell me what you did exercise wise, PLEASE!!!0 -
Pilates worked for me. I do 3 days a week of intense cardio and 3 days a week of Pilates. My son is 18 months old. I was on bed rest for most of my pregnancy followed by a c-section and I was able to get my abs back!
Its possible. Good luck!0 -
yes I also tried 6 yrs to have my daughter and it took me another 6 to get pregant with me now 5 month old so even
though I diss like my pouch it is a reminder of God gracing me wiyh my 2 miracle babies0 -
There is no hope for my tummy after 3 large babies. My tummy tuck is scheduled for March 1. I could do 100,000 sit ups a day and lose 20 more pounds and this will still be here. I'm currently 5'7" and 136 pounds and this is what I'm left with.

Testing: I have 3 children (all natural births weighing at least 8 lbs) and my oldest just turned 10. I have only been able to work out at home for this time period. All I use is my set of dumbbells and a few of Jillian Michaels' dvds.
I'm a work in progress.....but am happy so far.0 -
