PS - Green just happens to be my favorite colour!!

We could see if anyone wants to be leader. I wouldn't be good at it with my current schedule. As far as a name, I don't know! Green to Lean, Green Machine, any other ideas?

  • Lash- I think you'll be a great team captain! Thank you for stepping up and volunteering :)
  • Just wanted to take a minute to officially introduce myself to everyone.
My name's Barb, I'm 27. Like a lot of people, I've been overweight for as long as I can remember.
I live in southeastern, Pennsylvania. I work as a 911 Telecommunicator (Police Dispatcher) on overnight 12-hour shifts. It's tiring; there are days I do nothing but work, eat and sleep, but I wouldn't trade it for anything.
For that reason, I try to keep an overnight schedule on my days off. If I ever seem inattentive, or you can't get ahold of me, I apologize now! (Good rule of thumb for me, if the sun is out, I'm hiding under my covers!)
I think we have a good solid team here. Now let's get started with week 1 and kick some booty! (And I mean that literally, less booty behind me would be wonderful!)

    All,

I asked Jen to find a replacement for me. Something personal came up last night in my family and I'm going to have some time constraints for awhile. B ecause of this I just want to stick to one challenge. Sorry I can't do it this time. I'll probably follow the thread just to follow the challenge when I can behind the scenes. Good luck gals!

    CHALLENGE - WEEK 1

For every mile that you run/walk/bike/swim/etc, you will earn 10 points for your team.
For daily nutrition challenges - each person on your team that completes the challenge will earn an additional 5 points for your team
For daily exercise challenges - each person on your team that completes the challenge will earn an additional 10 points for your team

Every day, the team captains will need to send me their team's total points for the day. I will maintain a spreadsheet for everyone to monitor the progress of the challenge.

For the exercise challenges - You choose if you use weights or not. This is all about pushing yourself to do something that you wouldn't ordinarily do, BUT we don't want anyone getting hurt. The main idea is to go DISTANCE. The Nutrition & Exercise challenges are EXTRA.
