Do you think you're attractive?

I don't think I EVER have. I have confidence in my abilities, of course....I'm a great friend, I give my hundred and ten percent at work, i train hard and harder every day. But I can't accept how I look, even when I was sick and skin and bones. *shrugs* It's just not something I'm willing to accept, I guess.0

I'm ok, but I have issues that mess with my self esteem. I have been told I look good. I'll feel better about me when I can control my eating habits. I put myself down0

I don't think I'm super hot or anything (especially compared to my friends), but I don't think that I'm terrible looking either. One thing that gets me down about that is that I know virtually nothing about makeup and hair, so I can't really change my hair or makeup and look better. I always feel better about myself when I get compliments (lol this sounds terrible).
In my opinion, Im ok I have good days and bad! Dont we all!0 -
It's funny how on a day to day basis this is.
Today I feel attractive, potent... all of that.0 -
Yes and no. Recently, I have been late to work because I star at my own reflection. I get confused by who the person looking back at me is. But I still have days where I go, ew fat. Then I remember that I was 280+ earlier this year until I joined MFP in March...0

So many women, me included, would love to have your confidence!0

I am tryng to reteach myself that I am attractive0

I am average looking. I have never been pretty or hot, just normal. Not ugly, not beautiful. I have been told I am "cute" a lot, but that's about it.0

Yes -and No
I think >most< people are the same - we have good days and bad.
And like many - I think my good days are increasing with my weightloss - feeling a lot better about myself inside and out0 -
Yes, and I like my body now so that helps. ;-)0

nope... Its hard to forget everything and think otherwise.
I think you're a total cutie! Just sayin'. . .0 -
I'm very comfortable in my own skin - Now. I was raised to have a healthy self-esteem. I'm awesome on the inside, and getting pretty awesome on the outside, too.0
-
I'm attractive enough to get around without always feeling like people are whispering about how ugly I am.
Sometimes I feel really pretty, and sometimes I feel like staying inside all day so no one sees me.
It totally depends on the day, my productivity level, the time of day, my skin, my exercise, and what I've eaten.0 -
I'm alright lol0

I don't know if I would call myself attractive, but I am definitely more confident in my skin than I was in recent years. I've been feeling much better about it lately since I started to do my hair and makeup for my new job, but it's not as terrible as it used to be to go out without makeup and my hair naturally fluffed into a huge 'fro. My fiance thinks I'm attractive, so that's enough for me0

I've had body image issues from an early age, so even when I looked good I thought I didn't.
Been trying to improve on that, and the other day cut my hair, thought I looked fantastic, THEN made the mistake of taking a picture to text it to my mom. YIKES! I looked horrible!! My sister said I looked great, but OMG I couldn't get past my face and how fat I looked in it, and how my hair was so thin (lost a lot of hair due to lupus)....
So not right now, but I can't wait til a time comes that I think I'm at least somewhat attractive0 -

I attract men and women haha
So yes, I do feel I'm attractive. But I feel attractive with no makeup, with makeup, no matter the hairstyle (and I've has super short to super long which can poof up and get frizzy and never straight) 20 lbs ago, and when I was pregnant and as big as a house. It's all about confidence. In high school the popular girls would call me ugly or weird (which I was weird I was in the freak group, it was a small school so they didn't know what to call us) but I know it was because they were insecure, not me. I have plenty of flaws, frizzy hair, scars, stretch marks, not so perfect skin, big feet, squishy belly. But I still love who i am and how I make people feel.
I do feel it has a lot to do when you were a child, growing up I was always told i was pretty, and my mom is just drop dead gorgeous which always made me jealous since I look like my dad. She took care of herself, so I did the same. I now have two baby girls and everyday I tell them they are beautiful and loved.0 -
Great post, birdie0929! What an awesome attitude.
Today I'm feeling pretty attractive; 3 people noticed that I've lost weight. "I can REALLY tell!" was the common remark!
:bigsmile:0 -
I think I have a really pretty face. The rest of me...I'm gaining more and more confidence. There are more days when I say "wow, I look adorable today!" and it feels sincere.
My roommates keep trying to convince me that I'm not fat, just crazy... haha.0 -
Not particularly attractive, but I don't scare small children either, so I'm not discontented with my appearance. I'll settle for being smart and witty and loving - that keeps me surrounded by my friends, and they don't really care that I'm not gorgeous.
eta: I should say, it's funny, I don't think of this as a confidence question. I walk into a room and feel good about myself (my look does not equal MYSELF to me), am confident that people will like me, so I think I have confidence. I don't walk into a room and think "these people are all going to think I'm really pretty." so that would make me unconfident by some definitions.0 -
Nope!!!! But luckily people laugh at some of my jokes - makes my looks not an issue0
-
Not really lol0
-
Depends on the day.0
-
For the most part (now) I do. I still have "ugly" days though.0
