Troy that photo is creeeepy!!! Is that a halloween thing .... or are you from a particularly disfunctional family??
You don't like my baby picture? LOL0 -
Got home 20 minutes after midnight from work. Was amped up and decided to do my 5k on the treadmill instead of waiting for tomorrow to do c25k w4d1.
Was already doing better intervals than week 4 so did 2 minute warm up and then intervals of 5 minute run and 1 minute walk. Shaved another 54 seconds off my time to finish the 5k in 34:23. 7 total walk minutes and 27:23 total run minutes. Time for a shower and an appointment with a shrink to see what is wrong with me. LOL I am not sure when I actually started to like exercising. Ha0 -
I am due to do my W4D2 tomorrow but I will have to do my sons paper delivery in the morning as he is quite sick and needs to recover for his last exam on thursday.... so you have inspired me Troy.... and I am going to do it tonight.... I never normally have the motivation/energy to go out in the evening.... but if that ugly baby can do it then so can I! :bigsmile:0

W4D2 done!!!
I kept going and did 5km in 50 mins.... yeah!!!0 -
Great job Troy and Lisa!! Yall are rocking it!!0

My cousin asked me to do a 5K with her on Thanksgiving. I'll only be week 8ish in the program. Scares me! Should I attempt it?
I'm looking to do one on Thanksgiving even though I'll wind up doing a lot of walking I'm sure. I figure it'll be a good way to kick off a day of food!0 -

well I went to go to bootcamp this morning trainor sent me home because my cold is in my chest..said it was a bad bad idea! Talked to her about the whole running thing and she agreed dont give up yet!! She said to get fitted for running shoes maybe even orthodics and if its still hurting ( hurting most days) then stop but she bets it will make a huge difference... Either way I'm on a break for a few more days So ill probley be about a week behind yall but I'm going ot keep doing this IM NOT GIVING UP!!0

Ok, so I didn't get to run last night. Again, too many errands to run. We are trying to get ready to go hunting all of next week.
So tonight I planned to run. I was actually going to restart Week 1 because it has been almost two weeks since I ran last but just as I was getting ready and setting my music in the app, I looked at W2D1 and thought.. "I'll just give it a try. If it proves to be to much, I'll just go back to W1."
Well, it wasn't really much different, actually was walking more than jogging still. I'm really glad I just went ahead and did it. However, I'm really not sure how I'm going to fit running into "deer camp" next week. I'm pretty sure I don't want to be running outside, we were told that they just shot some wolves in the area a few weeks ago that were causing issues with the farmers. I would only have time to run at night like I do here at home and my dog is not going with us... probably not a good idea. So.... We'll see what happens.
Anyways, was a good run. Glad I'm back in it.0 -

Good shoes make a huge difference. I hope it does for you too. Just take it easy and don't hurt yourself so you can keep going.0 -
Hey everyone. Woke up early with a bunch of energy and decided to do the 5k a day early. You never know - tomorrow I might wake up feeling lazy. Officially w4d2 but not using the phone app anymore as I am on my own pace. For now, until I fall over. lol
Took 1:25 off my best time. Finished the 5k in 32:58. 2 minute warm-up walk, 15 minute run, 1 minute walk, 10 minute run, 1 minute walk and 3:58 run. Total walking minutes-4. Total running minutes-28:58.
Still don't know where the energy is coming from, but I'll take it. Or maybe call an exorcist. Ha
Everyone have a great day/week and take care of your selves!!!

Troy that's Fantastic! Go YOU!! I hope I have that much energy in a few months when I drop a few more pounds!
Please dont leave us even though you aren't "doing the program" You are a great inspiration and encouragement to the rest of us 'former' couch potatoes to KEEP MOVING!0 -
W4D1 was my total downfall. Felt good through the first short run and was totaled by the end of the 1st 5 minute run. The second short run was alright and I just could not do the last 5 minute run.
A friend who is doing this also said that maybe I'm running too slowly (4 mph, which is a comfortable running pace for me) and it's wearing me out? That doesn't seem to make sense because running faster seems like it would wear me out faster. Attempt #2 today. A little down I might have to redo a week (already), but I can't just stop.0 -
Well its pouring with rain here today and I am due to do W4D3.... its also my husbands birthday and we are supposed to be going for a long walk and an early dinner.... not sure if I am going to be able to fit my C25K in.... but I really want to!! (there's clearly something wrong with me).... I might try and fit in a trip to the gym.... I'l keep you posted.0

Keep up the good work. Just do whatever feels comfortable for your body. I run faster than some and slower than some. It is all about you. Take care and good luck!0 -

Thanks, Sherri. I can now honestly say to people "if I can do it, so can you." LOL I have never been much on exercise til the whole lifestyle change. I might have ran for the ice cream truck but not much else. Have a great day/night!!0 -
Troy-You're doing an awesome inspiring job!
Lisa-Hope you had a good dinner.
Calibri-Just keep going. The first day is always the hardest for me and then I'm pleasantly surprised that it's easier the next time I run.
W5D1 today for me. It went WAY better than I thought it would because I was half dead when I woke up this morning. :bigsmile:0 -
Well i went to the gym couldnt take another day not going!! i did some intervals and alot of higher paced walking at inclines did 2.5 miles in 42 min not bad for not doing it in a week and still being sick....i sure cant wait to run skinny!!0

Don't let the idea of repeating a week get you discouraged. I have been reading a forum of C25K of people who've been working on C25K for months! Repeating a week is not a step backwards, it is maintaining! That step backwards is stopping and going back to the couch. You CAN do it!
Don't give up! Keep Moving!0 -

W4D3 - done!!!!
I managed to get to the gym and I did 5k in 47 minutes.... shaved 3 minutes off my last session.... and I ran for 22 minutes of that..... I can't believe it! Still find the 5 minute run about my limit so not sure how I'll go with W5.... shakemybooty glad to hear that you didn't find it too bad.... I was thinking of repeating W4 but perhaps I'll take your lead and go for it.
Jenny so glad you were able to keep moving and are feeling a bit better.
I wanted to get as many calories up my sleeve today so that I can have a good dinner and a glass or two of wine.... did the papers for my son, C25K, and now we do a long walk along Bondi beach before dinner.... there is a fabulous exhibition Sculpture By the Sea which we go to every year..... walk along the coast for an hour or so and end up at a great Italian restaurant.... heaven!
I'll have tomorrow off and then back on saturday:drinker: :drinker:0 -
Shake, Jenny, Sherri and Lisa. Way to go today. Sounds like everyone is pushing through any and all obstacles and keeping with it. Great job!0

Wow! Week 5! Thats awesome! Do you run inside or outside?
I run inside with a 2% incline to try to compensate some for being inside. I tried running outside with a stroller but a) 25 extra pounds is too much for me to shove out here on these windy country roads and b) I CAN'T run without moving my arms. I'm Italian...I can't even TALK without using my arms. LOL0 -

It took me three or four months to get to week 4 the first time I tried C25k. Nothing wrong with repeating weeks as long as you keep going!
I've noticed, for me personally, that it does seem to help to go a little faster. It doesn't make sense but it works. I think I hold myself differently when I go a bit slower and that makes me work harder.0 -
Sherri- that's good you got back to it this week. Where are you from and what are you out hunting?0
