Let the challenge begin!!
Beginning Monday, post your water and walking total each night. I"ll keep a running tally so we know how we're doing!! If you miss a day, it's okay -- just catch up as soon as you can!

my ankle and foot are feeling lots better...im going to start on the elliptical and see how i do monday night after work....i should be able to do about 2.5 to 3 miles.....if i am unable to do this, i will update....however i think i should be fine.....0

just came home at lunch and did 44 walking laps around the perimeter of the pool... one mile down... that's a lot for me, because i haven't exercised in a long time. i'm hoping to get an other in tonight after work. Go Team!!! We can do this. i'm mostly done with my water too!!0

Walked 1.5 miles today and drank 13 cups of water. (Which is about 12 more than usual lately!) Hope everyone else had a good day!0

Daily totals:
Individual Challenge 100 ounce water challenge - 101.4 ounces today!
I realized i had to drink at least 6 of my favorite water bottles full, so i put 6 pennies in one pocket and as i finished each bottle, i transferred the penny to the other pocket. Otherwise i was afraid i'd lose track.
Team Challenge 100 miles total - I'm contributing 1 mile today.
it's not a lot and i feel a bit bad, but since i haven't exercised in probably 4 or 5 years, one mile is a great start for me. i was going to try and do at least another mile tonite, but i discovered if you walk around the pools perimeter on the Kool-deck barefoot doing 44 repetitions, you get blisters on your feet. Tomorrow i wear shoes.0 -

Great idea!!!! And a mile is a wonderful start -- that's more than some of us started with!!
I took today off to continue resting my quads -- but they are definitely on the mend, so I'm hoping to get several miles in tomorrow. I drank my water though -- 14 cups and counting!!

exercise: elliptical 2.06 miles....very proud considering my foot is still healing but i went slow so im on the mend.....

October 30, 2011 walked 2.5 miles, drank 88 ounces of water
October 31, 2011 walked 3.0 miles, drank 132 ounces of water!0 -
water intake: 128 oz (by end of day)
elliptical: 2.27 miles (31 min.)
i also did 300 step ups in 13 min.
and stretched well before and after0 -
Water intake is at 13 glasses.
Mileage is a different story-I had to wear heels today and my feet are really protesting. Still managed 1/2 mile at lunch (and another 1/2 mile going to the bathroom!) No dress shoes tomorrow, so I should get at least 2 miles in.0 -

Water -- 120 oz
Miles -- 3.1 (2.1 on elliptical and 1.0 walking) I'll try to do more, but my legs are complaining!!
TOTAL TO DATE:
One person has not signed in yet for Monday or Tuesday, and a couple are still missing for today (Tues) but as of right now:
WATER: We had 600 oz on Monday (YAY -- that's our daily team goal!!) and so far 470 oz for Tuesday. If the team members who haven't checked in do their 100 oz, we will be way ahead on water.
MILES: We are behind on miles... we need to step it up a bit. (Including me... I need to make up for not being able to do anything Monday) So far, we have walked just under 15 miles as a team.... That's less than half of where we should be!!!! If we don't make it to 100 miles as a team, we're stuck doing burpees next week -- and trust me, YOU DON"T WANT TO DO BURPEES!!!!!
So, Waist Removers --- time to WALK, RUN, or ELLIPTICAL!!!! Bust your butts on this one!!!!! Let's go TEAM!!!!0 -

Monday: Water 112 oz-easier than thought
Monday 2.34 miles elliptical and walking
Tuesday: Water 128 oz (I'm floating away...... lol)
Tuesday: 2.8 miles (walked at lunch 1 mile, 1.0 elliptical evening + 14 laps on Y track=,88 miles -SIX of those were light jogging- count them SIX..... I really had to move to get to my daughter's concert!)
Wow, what a difference it makes to have a team. I HAVE to be accountable! : )0 -

i did 2.5 miles on the elliptical.....my foot would not allow me to do anymore....

For today (Wednesday), I have gotten in 118 oz so far and walked 2.5 miles (there is no rule that says I have to do it all at once!). I also did 25 wall push ups to support the punished team. Besides, I like doing those! I think tomorrow to make those harder, I will use the desk instead of the wall. Eventually I will work my way down to the floor!
One way I use to get my water is to fill ten 10 oz. bottles every morning when I get to work and put them in the fridge. And I grab one throughout the day. I have to talk a lot (that probably won't surprise anyone!) so I can get very dry and thirsty. I used to drink Diet Pepsi, but I don't have as much room to fit that in as I used to!0 -

Wednesday Report:
Water: 112 oz
Walking: 1 mile, plus 45 minutes of bike riding
Pushups: 25 wall pushups (normally I do girly-style, but I wiped out on my bike and hit my knee -- it's now all swollen and bruised!!)
Jacks: 50 (for my other challenge)
Crunches: 50 (for my other challenge)
WOW -- I didn't realize how much I'd actually done today!!! I LOVE TEAM CHALLENGES!!! They make us work
Edited to add: I know it seems I'm not pulling my weight (no pun intended) in miles right now -- I'll get more of them in on the weekend. I try to mix up the exercise b/c I work out much of the time with my husband, and we have a several day each week bike and tennis schedule. If I could count those -- I'd have knocked out 9 miles tonight :laugh:0 -

Miles - Walked - 1.5 - working my way up to 2.0.

Miles: 3.0 - 1.5 track at the Y, 1.0 on elliptical, .50 on treadmill - doing my part! Hope I can keep it up..... Can't wait for Sunday when I can REST. lol!

everyone's doing great.....dont worry bout it Cristy....youre doing awesome.....i tried to do 3.5 miles but couldnt my foot wouldnt let me.....i cant push too hard yet....but i did 2.5...which is great......another challenge im in has us doing step ups...i am so proud that i did as many as i did today...tomorrow im going to do over 500, hopefully.....plan to go farther in my walking too..maybe i can get to 30

love reading everyone's updates.....Cristy, any way we could get an early update on how we stand as of today? i love getting progress reports....i plan on doing 550 step ups today and walk 3 miles.....and drink lots of wawa...hehe0

Today's update: drank 120 oz water at least and walked 1.5 miles today.
We had an associate event today and I saw several people that had not seen me since April and they were amazed at the weight loss. It felt good to be validated and made it much easier to avoid the snacks that were provided!0 -
As of right now.... we are at over 2400 oz of water (we are averaging well over 700 per day -- YAY TEAM!!) and we are at 44.37 miles. We're getting closer :bigsmile:
