    Hey Team!!

Just as a heads-up.... we all kind of struggled with weights this week. Even though we all worked hard (or as heard as I could....sorry) we are not going to make our 1% goal.

Leigh (achampionsheart) lost the most from Saturday to Saturday (-3.5) which brought her back to where she was the week before. Marj (pkiddy) lost 0.3, Maureen lost 2.0 (woo hoo), MarchelleLynne lost 0.8 and I lost 0.6. Best news -- NOBODY GAINED!!!

This week -- let's really take a stand!! Let's set a goal for ourselves and see if we can do it!!

My goal this week is 45 minutes of exercise 5 days this week, 100 ounces of water each day, NO CHOCOLATE and lose 1.0 lb.

We all worked really hard this week, and it's progress.

My goal for this week is to survive it! My boss (he runs the pilot program that is my new job) is located out of state and is coming for a visit. Which means 2 days of meetings (and lunch and dinner with the team daily), then I have a full day networking event (at least I will be walking around all day) and I have to lead some classes, which he decided to observe. Plus he is going to spend a day "shadowing" me to see what I do. Apparently my results have been good so far. No pressure there!

On another note, we got our tickets today for the Kenny Chesney/Tim McGraw show in August 2012. That's right NEXT August! There are 20 of us going and it will be a blast. Best of all, by then my "seat" will fit in the seat!!

JEALOUS!!!! I live about 30 minutes away from where KC grew up.... in fact, his dad used to coach at the high school next door to where I used to teach.... and i've never made it to a concert!!!! Lucky, lucky you!!!

It's our 6th in a row (except in 2010 when he didn't tour.) We got to a lot of concerts, but this is the only one where I get a t-shirt! Next year's show will have me in an XL (or dare I dream a L) instead of the XXL or XXXL!

    WEEK 6: BURN THOSE CALORIES!!!

    1. 20 burpees per day for Team 69ers, Waist Removers, Mind over Matter, and Flab-u-less. 30 burpees per day for Power Hungry. (30 per day for Team MM too!) These are our penalties for not reaching 1% loss

    BURPEE video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O7_TBHno0Os&feature=related

    2. Nutrition--reach at least 75% of daily calcium goal.

    3. The four teams with the highest percentage of calorie burns will win advantages, so burn, baby, burn!

Did my 20 burpees (modified to squat/pushup/squat/pushup). I also did 50 bicycle crunches, 30 donkey kicks and 20 leg lifts. My legs hurt now! Tomorrow, I will do some exercises for upper body and we will see how it goes. I also got in a 15 minute walk today. The calcium will be a bit of a challenge. I am lactose intolerant-so the dairy really did a job on me yesterday and I only got to 75%-with 50% coming from a vitamin. I will have to get a calcium supplement-which is something my son's GI doctor has told me to do for awhile now. (For me, not my son. If it were him, we would have some!)

    The exercise is 197 calories.

I'm lactose-intolerant too, so my calcium will be coming from a supplement... i never realized how low I was, so I guess this has been a good challenge for me!!

I took a 40-minute walk today to ease the soreness in my legs  , and did modified burpees.... tomorrow will be a "rest day" for my husband's Christmas party, then I'll be back to regular workouts on Wednesday.

I have been having all kinds of challenges with my computer-and my time!

I did make my calcium at 75% or more every day with the help of a supplement. I did find that oranges had lots of calcium too! I did my burpees every day, along with leg lifts, bicycle crunches,21's and swimmer's presses on alternate days. those I could do as soon as I woke up. I made sure to go for at least a 15 minute walk every day, trying to go further every day. My calorie burns were:
    Sunday-115
    Monday-197
    Tuesday-197
    Wednesday-278
    Thursday-197
    Friday-224

Having 12-13 hour days all week made it challenging to get that in. Thank goodness for lunch time! I talked one of my teammates into walking with me at lunch to make sure I did it!

Now my boss is gone back home and things should settle down for the next few weeks-at least as far as work is concerned.

I will post info in the AM for updated weight and Saturday plans. I think I will hit the gym then go do some shopping. Aggravation burns calories, doesn't it?

    Hi Everyone!

I lost 3 lbs this week! I'm down to 215!!

I will get my calcium in today, and I did my burpees, bicycles, lifts,21's and swimmer's presses. I am starting to enjoy some of those calesthenics. (Spelling doesn't count here!)

I am going to an outdoor mall today, and will be walking around for hours, so my anticipated calorie burn for today will be 609.

Hope everyone had a good week!

Just track the macros for your other challenge... if you're reaching those, that's good enough. We have to be realistic -- the real goal here is to make sure we're eating healthy!!
