6.2 miles TOTAL for the week -- NOT everyday!!! :flowerforyou:

Re: water -- 100oz should be okay... I think some of your 128-153 oz days may have caught up to you :) don't forget that when we work out, our muscles "tear and repair" by filling the tears with water, so that's why we seem to retain water after hard workouts -- our bodies are using the water to repair and rebuild stronger muscles.

The water challenge though is just a "team challenge" -- it doesn't count in the MM standings.... some of our members need the encouragement to help them drink water at all........ :drinker:

Like me! Although I usually don't get the full 100, I'm at 80 consistantly now. Getting back to the gym may just push me over that.

Progress for today: I'm at 96 oz of water, so I will drink another glass before bed to get it to over 100 for the day. Yeah me! I also did all 48 leg lifts, 25 pushups (I know it was part of the penalty, but it is one that when modified I like to do!) and walked 1.5 miles in 30 minutes. I was also way under on my sodium for the day. Really focusing on making good choices this week-and not worry about Thanksgiving. It's only one meal and back at it!

We all need to remember this!! Make good choices -- and yummy ones!!! This is our LIFE and that means living it in all its glory!! Have a great Thanksgiving meal.... try to log what you can... and enjoy the day!! One day of a bit more than usual won't hurt us -- I'm planning on having a bit of everything that I want -- maybe even seconds. Just not thirds, and not a lot of pumpkin pie... or apple pie....or chocolate chip cookie pie.... or at least not all three!!! LOL

I even got 1/4 of a blueberry pie (my favorite!) for myself. No one else likes it, so I usually eat the whole pie. Everyone else wants cheesecake, and I don't like it, so I am more than willing to get it for them!

Hi Everyone-I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Here is my stats for the week:

Leg lifts-did 2 sets of 12 every day.
10K-I completed it, although it took about 90 minutes over the course of the week. I did do a 10K on the bike in 35 minutes though! (I know it's a 3:1 ratio, but I still went that far!)
Under in sodium every day except Thanksgiving.
Drank at least 9 glasses of water every day. I still struggle with that one!
But my weight stayed the same. I have been increasing my workouts, and feel like I am retaining fluid (fingers are swollen) so that could be why. It's a bit frustrating, but I know this happens.

So this week, I plan to go back to measuring food servings (that could be part of the issue!), concentrate on drinking plain water and really focusing. I really would like to get to 50 lbs for Christmas!

Hope others were a little more successful than I was!

Awesome!! That gets us a head-start for next week!! Our goal is to lose 2% as a team -- that means each team member has to average 2% -- about 3-4 lbs each!!

    Week 5 RECAP:

    1. Drink 100 ounces of water a day. (this is an MM challenge this time -- we've got to do it!!)

    2. 12 Donkey kicks per leg a day.

    3. 50 bicycle crunches per day.

    4. Shuffle for 5 minutes per day. (I'm assuming this is line-dance style... I'd count any kind of dancing!)

    5. 20 Mountain climbers for the Turtles (we've all been challenged to do these along with the Turtles!)

If you don't know any of these exercise, you can search them out on youtube!!

For my sanity, PLEASE try to update here on the team page at least every two days -- it gets really confusing to track all of this on Saturday  THANKS ladies!!

I started doing donkey kicks this past week! I have also been doing the dirty dog as well, these along with the leg lifts, walking, and elliptical last week my legs are nice and sore!! Aside from being a little sore I am feeling great and more powerful by the day! Loving these challenges! GO WASTE REMOVERS!!

Just heard from Tonya -- one change to the MM challenge: Weight loss is 1% not 2%. Definitely more do-able (about 2 lbs each) but let's work for 2% anyways and see if we can get close. It will only help us reach our goals -- and we need to be challenged to work harder and work smarter!! It's water and work-out time *\o/* LET'S GO TEAM *\o/*
