    My first real run on a treadmill! woo! Speed Work 4 x 800m reps @ 10 min/miles and slow recovery between before and after @ 14 min/mile for 5 minutes

    Thank you! I did 20 minutes 7.0 pace, pilates and then 35 minutes 7.0 pace. Hard work out but glad is done for tonight! This iron man challenge is helping me with variety...

    I held off on posting my bike ride because I was planning on swimming tonight, but 9pm swim is just too late, especially when I have to get up for 0530. So totals for 11/11/09 - 18.5 miles on the bike.

    Swim - 2 miles
    Bike - 33.5 miles
    Run - 14 miles

    Goal - Ironman.

    Considering my first two-a-day since I stopped swimming for tomorrow....Need to strength train my legs but I really need to swim too! We'll see how it goes. Today officially started my half-marathon training with a 3.5 mile hills run. I just can't get my head around running ten more miles in addition to that!

    Had a family emergency this week and I'm out of town now, so I just got in a quick run before returning to the hospital this morning. I was going to swim Thursday night and had a long bike ride scheduled for tomorrow, but those 2 sports are still on hold until I get home. Hoping for a ride on Monday and swim on Tuesday. You guys are doing awesome!!!

    Tomorrow I will be doing my first Olympic Distance Tri. I've done several Sprints but this is twice the distance of anything I have done yet. This was my goal at the end of the 2011 Tri season. I'm excited but somewhat nervous. The swim is the hardest for me and the water is colder than it normally is this time of year, it looks like it's wetsuit time. I'm sure I'll have a great time.

    I went to day to do a little warm up so I'm adding those numbers to my IM goal:

    Today:

    Swim: 0.250 mi OW
    Bike: 5.0 mi
    Run: 1.0 mi
