Tomorrow I will be doing my first Olympic Distance Tri. I've done several Sprints but this is twice the distance of anything I have done yet. This was my goal at the end of the 2011 Tri season. I'm excited but somewhat nervous. The swim is the hardest for me and the water is colder than it normally is this time of year, it looks like it's wetsuit time. I'm sure I'll have a great time.

best of luck on you race my friend!

You probably won't see this in time, but good luck.

11/11/12 - 8 mile run, although, it was broken up into eight stops, with a drink at each stop, but I did cover the 8 miles (GPS error yesterday said 9, but it was 8). It was our triathlon club's annual banquet yesterday. To celebrate, we start the day with a running house crawl, with a stop at the track for the beer mile, then end at the banquet hall. It is quite an event. The total distance was about 11 miles, however, I had to skip a stop to get to my house to host the stop there.

    Totals -
    Swim - 2 miles
    Bike - 15 miles
    Run - 26 miles

    Goal - Ironman

I should work on entering my information more consistently. What a help that would be.

Did a hellaciously windy ride this morning. Thought I'd do the flats and avoid hills, put in an easy Z2 ride. Sounds good huh?

WRONG ANSWER!!! So, the numbers don't reflect the effort. Still, sometimes those are the days you remember.

    16.43M ride

    Totals:
    Swim: 0M
    Bike: 81.77M
    Run: 12.73M

You could do like a "jok" or walk-jog??? That's pretty easy on the knees. You are doing great with your totals! Just thought I'd throw that out there...

Biked 4 miles today and yesterday. The weather hasn't really been my friend lately... not too bad for short bike rides, but horrible for walking. Would it be bad if I started tracking jogging in place? Maybe 20 minutes = 1 mile walked?

    Cumulative Totals:
    Running/Walking - 9
    Biking - 80

    My goals:
    Running/Walking 75 miles
    Biking 175 miles

thanks - I do try that with some success, but it seems like 60 seconds is my max on the jog at a time lol. it is much easier on the knees though so appreciate the suggestion.

    today 6 miles (jog/walk intervals 1, the dreaded stairmaster 2 , treadmill walk 2, swim 1)

    month to date:

    jog/walk 45

I haven't been able to get online for a few days. I see several of you have asked how I did with my First Olympic Triathlon. Here's the numbers:

    1500meter Swim 27:48
    Trans 1 2:31
    40K Bike 1:28:36
    Trans 2 1:27
    8K Run 46:12
    Overall Time 2:46:34

I was real pleased, I did it much faster than I thought I would especially the swim. The run was suppose to of been 10K but for some reason they had to limit it to 8K. I didn't know this until it was over but I figure had it been 10K I would of finished approximately 2:58:06. I had a great time. Thanks to all who asked about it.
