Good Morning everyone and Happy Thursday...

I am off today  and trying to find the thing called motivation to go exercise.. I will find it.. Its just early and cold..

I was thinking about Valentines day "Sigh" we are going to the Texas Roadhouse in Reno for dinner.. I am going to plan ahead, take my own salad dressing and try my hardest to be prepared... What is every one else going to be doing??

No chocolate for me : ( but thats ok, I'd rather reward myself with something special later....

So, I just wanted to tell you all, I started my new life (eating right and exercising) style on Jan 22nd at 220 - this morning I am at 207 --- Woo Hoo.. I am so proud of myself... I just want to be healthy and feel good. I am almost 45 and am so tired of the aches that come with being fat...

I am really looking forward to getting to know all of you and making new friends...

    Have a wonderful day.....

    Anita
  • Nice job ANITA!!!! Way to go!!! (I wish I had those cool emoticon's like CM)

Lulu-I hope the furniture wasn't too heavy for you to be moving around by yourself!!!

Chanty-I feel for you! That is not fun! And thank you for the nasty visual I got :frown:

How on earth could anyone get up at 4am??? It would not happen here!

We're supposed to get a huge snow storm tomorrow :grumble: I really hope it doesn't come (though I would probably get off work early).

Weigh in day is tomorrow and I'm SUPER nervous :ohwell:

Ok, too lazy to read through all posts. Beddy bye time soon. I assume no more owies, all is well. (Although, we do appear to be a group of clutzes so far! )

    Nighty-night! :flowerforyou:

You get up at 4 AM??
I slept until 4:20 today. Gotta have time for coffee before the 5:15 am class at the gym. Usually I sleep until 5:00 if I can go to a later class.

Yeah, I think getfit goes to spin class at like 6 a.m. or something!!:noway: She's an earlybird that one!

Yeah, I hope I get more than a worm for being the early bird!!!
  • Hi nitag! You sound like me with the no motivation to exercise this morning  ! Tell you what though, I promise to do a 45 min workout today since I know you'll be doing something too. Lets check back tonight and see how we did!

Welcome gonbfit (I think I got the name right :ohwell: ). This is such an awesome group of people! I've already learned so much just from other peoples stories and trials  .

So is everybody skipping out on chocolate this valentines? I'm thinking of getting some of those 100 calorie packs of snickers for myself (I told my husband NO CHOCOLATE this year :grumble: even though I'd love some, I can't be tempted :noway: ) that way I'll at least get my share of sweets :flowerforyou:

Anyways, I'd better get off my butt and do something  I'll talk to all you crazies tonight!

Hi LaciJae... I just got done doing my 45 mins on the treadmill... Then after that I ran the sweeper on the floors... Thanks for the support.. I did the same with my husband.. NO CHOCOLATE...

Well I am off here to go dust..

  • Chanty, I"m glad you are doing ok... and doped up on pain killers LOL. Was it as bad as I think it is?

mango, AWESOME JOB!!!!!! Good for you for not giving up :)

Thanks hun! Yeah I am feeling a bit right now, but I just took some more. It is not very bad, just I was eating some pudding, and I was wondering if it was my pudding I was swollowing or a chunk of my gums...:ohwell: the drugs make me not really feel the gums, just my tongue which is bad, because I have a bad habit of touching mouth sores with my tongue. How are you doing?
Well, I was ok, until the visual of you swallowing your gums wormed its way into my mind LOL.

I'm trying to talk myself into eating over 1200 cal. tonight. I'm so proud about being under, but I know it won't do me any good if I go into starvation mode. I think I'm going to do some dancing and then eat some special K. That sounds really good. Maybe make things even out. It's my TOM so I know that I really need to eat my calories or I'll pass out (like I did the last time I lost weight). Off to dance :)
    sorry for that!

Aww well you be careful! Hope you had fun dancing!!
  • Lulu - Yeah well I had to share with someone, you guys just happened to read:laugh: Sorry no more visuals, I will be kind. Oh I had a straight through awesome sleep! Yay! I am not nauseous right now, but I will probably be around my regular time 12-2:grumble: ! We have a house showing at 4:30, so I am really excited! I hope my massive swelled cheeks, and face has gone down by then:ohwell:. Oh gosh I hope this works out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Such a good deal, our housing market has not, and will not crash half as bad as your guy's, but it is still going down, but not to much though.

Healthymom - Thanks! Yes, just keep excersising, and eating healthy, and you probably will not get it. When I was really active I never got a cold etc. Now I am sorta in the midst of one, but I am just eating cold crap in bed all day:laugh:
  • I do not think I could be that much of an early bird:smile:
  • Good JOB :drinker: Nitag and Lacijae on the No chocolate! I'm doing the same thing! :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:

I have to say though, I have not craved chocolate at all since doing this :noway: . I think I am finally committed to losing this weight and it's like those weight watchers commercials-I can just look at it and say, "You're just no good for me!" :noway:

My weakness is chips and salsa :explode: -and just about anything fried! FRENCH FRIES!!!! I baked some the other day and they were pretty good but they are way better when you can dip them in ranch and I hate the fat free or light ranch. It's just not the same!

'Sup teamies?? Is everybody getting in their "last chance" workout today for tomorrow's weigh-in:drinker:

Hey chanty - you can't gross me out -ever! I used to be an EMT (do they have those in Canada? It's an Emergency Medical Technician - on an ambulance) and I have a crazy (sick??:ohwell: ) fascination with medical grossness (excluding poop and puke)! Glad you slept - exciting about a house - keep us posted!

Anita - Congrats on the weight loss!!!!!!!!!!!:drinker: :drinker:

Zano I am totally with you on the slow and steady wins the race!!! I want no injuries to slow me down! I was very careful moving furniture around gang - thanks for your concern - and I am soooo happy with my treadmill being in the living room - not decoratively speaking of course - but I decided my body is more important and I am happy to report that I stayed on the treadmill for 45 minutes this morning AND did 20 minutes strength training on weights in the garage afterward! I am just feeling pretty darn good about my "gettin'-healthy-self":smokin: thank you very much! Hope tomorrow's weigh-in reflects my good exercise and healthy food this week!!

Yeah I believe EMTs drive the ambulances....that was nice that I just read that while trying to eat some scrambled eggs:sick: Eggs are the only semi soft food I have eat (the 2nd I have cooked myself, yesterday I had mashed sweet potatoes, and I think tonight is mashed potatoes), and it is hard to eat, and cook. If I stand up for too long I get freaking nauseous :grumble: I think I am going to call my oral surgeon, and ask him to prescribe me percasets instead of T3s, because I am not reacting well with them. We are VERY excited about the house! We live in a basement suite right now, and our land lord has kids come over, and play games, and jump everywhere, oh gosh I felt sick last night, and they gave me such a head ache!! I just want our own puppy dog:frown: Do not get me wrong our land lord is probably the nicest we could ever have, but it is time to get our own house!! Do not worry I will, like I have anything better to do laying in bed all day haha..
  • zano2008-I’d love to see you go for it and start training for triathlons. I never let weight stop me from that which I want to achieve. I’ve done about 6 ½ marathons and two sprint triathlons very overweight. So I say go for it!

nitag- did ya find the motivation? Ohhh, I see you did. Contratulations!!!! My husband asked me what I wanted for VTD. I laughed. Nothing. You see we just had our 20th anniversary and I got a beautiful new ring and a weekend on the coast. Life is good.
mandersen16- best wishes for your weigh in….don’t be nervous.

get_fit2009- I’m with ya. I’m a 3:45am riser. I work 10 hour days so if I don’t get up early and exercise it won’t happen.

lacijae-how did the exercise go? Chocolate….I told hubby maybe one fine piece of dark chocolate but definitely no box. Its so darn commercialized anyway. Drives me crazy. Look how insecure it makes people feel. Like if someone isn’t buying us chocolates and flowers we are not cared for….ugh. I don’t like the commercialism.

chantybear- good luck with the house showing. I think you should humor us with a picture of your little chipmonk cheek=) jk.

mandersen16- I think of that slim fast commercial. Finally some commercials are paying off=)

lulubar-lol…last chance workout. Wish I would have thought of that this am when I decided to sleep in till 5am. Friday is my off day but this am I decided it would be today=) I was just too dogone tired. Maybe I can find a Jillian ringtone to get me out of bed on Thursday.
I am a gadget geek. Loved the idea of wireless headphones on the dreadmill…I mean treadmill. Glad it was rewarding for you today. Sounds like a great workout.

Here’s to great weigh ins tomorrow::drinker: (that is water not beer=)

Prayerful!!!!!! Goodness gracious lady - WHERE do you find the energy?? So, you're up at 3:45, work 10 hour days, have kids, workout 2 hours.... I sure hope you have someone who cooks and cleans for you! However, I'm pretty sure if my schedule was like that, somebody would also have to actually spoon feed me!!

Chanty, you definately need to call your doc and tell him about your nausea. Are you still bleeding? My daughter had her tonsils out her freshman year in college and sprung a little leak that had to be cauterized - she was very nauseous and it was due to the blood she was unknowingly ingesting:sick: . Hopefully it is just your meds and those can be changed but, just thought I'd bring that up in case though:ohwell:

My dh and I are celebrating Valentine's with a new purchase for our backyard! We just put in a new deck and we're adding a paver patio with an outdoor kitchen (just buying one thing at a time as we can afford it) and the cost of roses and candy will buy my sink and 20 pavers! Yep, I'm practical like that - drives my hubby crazy cuz he's sort of a romantic, but we've been married 24 years so he's used to it and plays along - that's romantic too, right!?

Okay, I've got to go get some typing done, or I'm not gonna make any money!!!
  • Prayerful- I guess it is a house viewing, and thanks:smile: ! Little chipmonk cheeks...It looks like I gained 10 pounds all in my face!!!:ohwell:
  • I would take pictures of my cheeks, but I am so not feeling photogenic right now:laugh:

CM!!!! Hey - there you are!!:flowerforyou:

I have actually seen those work stations!! Something on t.v. one time?? And yeah:laugh: I should totally get one of those - it would be a super challenge seeing as how I can barely chew gum and walk at the same time, but I bet we could get some great you tube video out of it - hee hee hee:blushing:

Chocolate pearls:love: They are both beautiful and would look 'delicious' on you!! Personally, I like the ring best I think.... gorgeous!!!!

The workstations have safety features - spendy though. Maybe DH could rig one up for you. Just wear the "emergency" STOP leash

The pearl in the ring is 8mm. That's pretty big.....I don't wear alot of rings, I'm afraid I'd damage it. But I unfortunately just found the same necklace in white gold with a Black Tahitian Pearl which I like better. The Chocolate one is dyed brown - $300. The Black Tahitian is - um - gorgeous - and $500. Guess which one I like better??:grumble:

I forgot tomorrow was weigh in day. Had mcdonald's for supper. I'm 355 over, but that's not too bad considering how under I was yesterday.

I totally believe in "roll-over" calories. As long as you aren't saving them up for more than one day.:noway: I often do that when it is the next day and less than 300 cals.

    Hi everyone

So many people to learn! I'm trying to respond to everyone but I am sure I will leave someone out... sorry!

My new motto is adapt and adjust... I usually do an a.m. workout of 30 min workout video and p.m. workout with cardio and weights/yoga... today I was SO sleepy that I allowed myself to sleep in later... then I popped up and did 5 mins yoga. It wasn't much but it was GREAT. and I still felt like I dedicated some time to myself. I packed my clothes to workout after class before my doctor's appt... then realized I LEFT MY SHOeS! :noway: so... I adapted and adjusted and took a one hour yoga class at lunch instead! That way... No shoes needed!!!

I hope you are all having a great day! I will probably workout more later... but I definitely need to STUDY! ttyl group!:flowerforyou:
