    Hell no.

    That's silly.

Most definitely. It won't be any different than any other day for me in terms of eating and exercising....
  • Gotta give yourself room to enjoy life. I didn't log on Thanksgiving. I won't log Christmas either. I will, however, log New Year's Eve. I don't want freebie days to be too close together.

I am planning to. Breakfast will be easy, I will be busy cooking and getting the house ready for the second group of family so lunch will probably be a protein bar but dinner will not be easy to log, most of what I will have is homemade. I guess I will do a quick calorie add and estimate what I will be eating. If I go over my calories I will not worry about it or beat myself up over it. One day is not going to kill me, I have gone over before and was fine.

I will but like most of you said.. I won't be worrying about staying under my normal 1200 calories. We start off Christmas with pigs in the blanket and mimosas in my family! :)

I would, Christmas is a reg day for me.... I have no children as yet to make to make that day special, or exciting. I would wake up n still work out.

I will - but I'm not going to focus on every little calorie. I plan to use Christmas Day as a cheat day - I'll let myself enjoy the foods I like, without going crazy and overeating. But I'm going to log everything so that I have a realistic idea of how much I put into my body, just to hold myself accountable and keep myself informed. It might help me get back on track afterwards, too, instead of using that day as a slippery slope to eating poorly a few days later.

Exactly what I was thinking. I logged Thanksgiving too as best I could.

I always log everything, even when I go over massively.

That's the way to do it- then it reminds me the rest of the week how much I over did it and how hard I have to work to make up for it!

Yeah, I'm not gonna freak out about it but I want to log because I have found I tend to make better decisions if I have to log them where others can see and judge. I won't freak out about going over but I am hoping not to over do it too bad, I want to be able to have "cheat days" without undoing a week or more worth of work.

Yup, I need to keep honest with myself. I am still going to endulge but I am going to prepare myself for the results and the numbers. I also said that I will cook Christmas dinner so I can control what I make and what goes in it (thank you Skinnytaste.com!)

Heck yeah! lol I logged Thanksgiving and I'm so glad I did. I estimated about 4000 calories for the day. I was wrong. I ate 2777 calories total for the whole day! I thought that was really good considering I had breakfast in the a.m. and beerS at night. I even lost 1.5 lbs that week. I plan on doing the same thing I did for Thanksgiving....eat what I want, only get one plate of food. No seconds. Measure everything since I'm still learning what a true cup looks like :-)Have desserts and beers later. I think another factor was staying under 1300 calories a day & exercising the whole week.

The only thing I'm going to log is the birch I put on the fire.
  • Hell no. If I felt inclined to log on Christmas day I would begin to worry!

I think I may not. It will be the first day I haven't logged in nearly a year.

    Pfffffffft....logging Christmas day. Pshaw!
  • Nah. Using my 1 day, eat within reason, but not terriably too much over, a week rule. Besides Gym on base will probably be closed. Definitely working out hard the day before & the day after! But I will still log, maybe quick add calories though.
  • Yes I am going to log Christmas Day. I want my new bike and I pay myself $5 for everyday that I track. I need the money

Yep. Even if I go over the calories, I want to know so I can adjust the rest of the week. I don't see holidays as excuses for food orgies anyhow...

I will log it, but have to really guess how much calories it will be since I cannot really weight how much I am eating. I just know it will be a lot of calories since we will eat cheese fondue with baguette. Since I only get that once a year I won't dwell on the calories too much and just work out some more during the day - if possible - and the next days.

I log my food everyday. Just because it's Christmas doesn't mean I wont make sure I hit my macros.

Yes, I really won't eat any differently. I gave my, "but its Halloween...but its Thanksgiving...but I'm moving" excuses and I gained 5lbs

SO...lol...the "but its _____" is no longer going to be applied
I'm taking the right away from myself
