I'm terribly confused. But I say so long as no one's breastfeeding in there, it's safe. You don't want your morals threatened by babies eating.
California Pizza is not a haven for communists. It is an evil, capitalist, imperialistic, greedy corporation that is intent on making every person obese by forcing them to eat unhealthy pizzas and evil chemicals.

A) Throw the gift card in the trash and spray Windex on it, or Buy the pizza and then throw it in the trash and spray Windex on it?

I have read the various responses, and I am surprised at the generalized angry reaction to a gift card.
You can eat at Calif Pizza Kitchen, and still meet your MFP goals.
I just went there and ordered a "The Works" pizza!
Of course, I did not eat the whole Pizza ! Less than half, and ate the rest at home in two diffferent meals.
So I would not read too much into the intentions of the gift card.
Why would he want to sabotage your diet?
