I think you're reading too much into this. She's not trying to sabotage you, it's a gift. Appreicate it, and if you dont want to use it, give it to someone who does.

The OP is making a joke. It's sarcasm.

My manager gave me a Christmas card with a gift card for California Pizza Kitchen in it.

    How should I take this?

    A) She's jealous of my weight loss, and wants to sabotage me, or
    B) Is setting me up to be a bad parent if I take my kid with me?

    What should I do?

    A) Throw the gift card in the trash and spray Windex on it, or
    B) Buy the pizza and then throw it in the trash and spray Windex on it?
My first thought wasn't any of those things you listed above. How about "Thank you for your generous gift"!

Why create drama?? If you don't like the gift certificate you can do several positive things with it such as donating it to a local food pantry, re-gifting it to a struggling single parent or college student. You could do a search on "GOOGLE" for GIFT CERTIFICATE SWAPPING and you'll find sites like this one: https://www.plasticjungle.com/main

If a person is gracious enough to buy me a gift, I will graciously accept it. Not everyone has a hidden agenda.

If I choose not to use it, I am sure I can find someone who can use it.

Thought you were asking a legitimate question, so I was giving a serious answer. I guess I am not as comedically evolved as the rest of you.

Sell it on plastic jungle. Relax. She's not trying to sabotage you. And no, feeding your children pizza is not considered child abuse. (OMG.)

I think you are being too sensitive. She tried to get you something nice as a thank you during the holiday season. There are healthy choices at California Pizza Kitchen....make a good choice, say "thank you" for the gift, and don't read too much into it.

I did not read through 15 pages of replies, but I for one LOVE CPK. They have quite a few healthy choices on the menu other than pizza. So just be smart when you order and be thankful.

Get a salad with grilled chicken and no dressing (bring your own), just one idea....
