Yoga this morning. I think I am now about 25% as flexible as Rodney Yee.4

Hi All, got an hour of strength training in on Saturday and got a nice 8km run in on Sunday.
Our community Wide walking challenge starts today, so I have to make sure I have everything ready to present. Our clinic organizes it. A 7 week challenge that usually sees 300 - 400 people take part. Not bad for a community of less than 3,000.3 -
Today was leg day. I am officially known as Ms. Jello. I walked the dogs double time this weekend. They had the nerve to fall on the floor and snore as if they had been to work all day (lol). Love my babies. Happy Monday kids. I hope all of you have a great day.4

Hi all....just found this group. I've been an MFP member for over two years (812 days!), met some great people....and want to meet more within my own age group. Meeting like-minded individuals with the same struggles and family life, while trying to lose weight at the same time! I need to get some motivation back and now that Spring is finally here in Ontario....the motivation is back!! Yay!5

I slept like crap last night.
I was NOT looking forward to lifting today....tooo tired. But, I went! And somehow reayknocked it out ofnthe park! BOOM!4 -
Spring has finally arrived in theNortheast.
I did my first outdoor bike ride yesterday in perfect conditions. A fairly flat 25 miler at a reasonable pace. After 6 months of indoor workouts, it was nice to turn the pedals and actually go somewhere.
I'm still rehabbing my legs, so no running just yet. As an alternative, my coach has increased my swim volume and intensity. II managed to get in just under 7000 yards last week, which is close to my mid season volume.
Really looking forward to the first open water swim of the season, probably in the first week of May.

Hey everyone! Completed my first 5 k on Saturday, felt great so I ran home after (another 5k) so unofficially ran 10 k! So jazzed. I started the 30day shred today as well as a few other challenges...just plugging along here.3

Hi all!
I'm new to mfp and to the group! My name is Angie and I'm 44 and have a few auto-immune diseases. (AS-Ankylosing Spondylitis, Hashimoto's disease and Fibromyalgia) The pain meds caused me to gain some weight, and the flares would cause me to become immobile days at a time. The beginning of this year, I came off of all pain meds and went to wearing a weekly patch for pain. I decided I was going to get my life back, no matter how hard I would have to work at it. I weighed 285 when I made that decision in Jan 2017. I'm losing it slowly but surely! I now weigh 258 and am more active, and can do so much than I did before. I couldn't climb 5 steps without hurting and being out of breath, now.. the stair machine at the gym is my fav machine and I'm running on it! I still get flares like when it rains (spring is not my fav season.. Lol) or when my monthly infusion wears off towards day 28. I just take those days as rest days and keep on going. Hoping to get some great ideas while making friends along the way!7 -

Whole body lifting done. Have a great day kids.2

The kids are on spring break this week, so we've taken an impromptu camping trip.
I visited the local Y for rowing yesterday.
Went for a 3-mile run this morning, followed by a 2-hr bike ride with the kids. Then putt-putt with the youngest. We've talked ourselves into a lake swim this afternoon, even though it's early in the season and the water is going to be coooold.
Afterwards, there will be s'mores. Well, one s'more. Which may be an oxymoron.7 -

Definitely an oxymoron! Lol
I can't imagine swimming right now but we just got rid of our snow.2 -
Hey cool kids. We had over 70 people show up for our kick off event and then we all went for a 5km walk. It was cold and windy, so was pleasantly surprised by the turn out. Today we got SNOW! Agh!
I did manage to get to the gym to lift and then to yoga.7 -
Signed up at our local Planet Fitness Gym this morning and did the treadmill on hills for 1 hour, climbed the stair machine 300 steps, and did some abs and upper body machines.. all for the first time. Then went back late tonight and did the same thing on the treadmill, climbed 500 steps on the stair machine, and then ending with the massage chairs. Is it possible to become addicted to working out? The whole gym experience is new to me (I know, I live a sheltered life.. lol) and I just find myself wanting to use all the machines to try them all out and see what they do and wanting to just workout all day. What's wrong with me... is this some type of newbie syndrome? Lol!6

Lol...I can't say I've ever worked out at a gym so I have no idea. But I enjoy the equipment I have at home and I feel the same.
You had a great day !1 -

Did you get wet? I"m wondering if you actually kicked off the open water swimming season.....

Yes. Very briefly, but thoroughly. Holy smokes, that was really cold. Knocks the breath out of you, then sets your skin on fire.

Hello,
I'm not new to MFP but I might as well be. I have a plan and now , plenty of time to get things right again. Just checking in to see what this group is like.4 -
Rowed this morning. 12km in 1:07. Then took the kids to swim at the Y. Much warmer swim than yesterday. Finally, explored the campground on bikes with my youngest. Heading home tomorrow.2

Wow, that's cold. I think I'll wait a few more weeks.

Don't blame you. It was fun, but painful. It did get my heart rate up though, so that's good.1 -
Just turned 49 last month so I'm almost too old for the 40s club. I've been reading through the inspirational posts. I'm working out 6 days a week and am in the best shape of my life but still have a long way to go.3

@TmacMMM - you did a triathlon! Brave soul getting wet this time of year! OMG - that's a Cardiac Arrest waiting to happen - or that's what it feels like anyway. lol.
Tried to run yesterday, but I was just bushed. Too much going on in my head. have so much to do and I just could not focus - so it ended up being a brist 5km walk.0
