So-- I posted my thoughts on the other thread-- let's see how many people I can tick off--

    yesssmileyf.gif

What thread ? tee hee. No, seriously, I agree with you.

It's the "Theory of limited good." i.e. Other people doing good, means there isn't enough good left for ME.

Except, they don't realize that there is more good out there than any of us can possibly imagine. :flowerforyou:

    where is everyone this morning?

Beautiful here in New Jersey-- heading to work in my dungeon-- at least I have a window to see the sun shining. :ohwell:

Had a great run last night-- 3.2 miles-- getting the crunches in nightly and doing some leg lifts and arm work with my little bitty 2 pound weights. Body is changing-- wayyy cool!!!!

    Must go-- hugs to all!

    Good Morning!!

I did have a little bit of a splurge last night (no it wasn't margaritas, that's a HUGE splurge) and had my sushi fix, I do this once a week but normally on Thursdays after I weighin. I'm not worried about it, I think a splurge once a week is healthy and won't sabotage me :)

Plus if I don't lose this week I'm blaming it on time of the month anyways! :frown:

Marla >> I totally agree with you, the more weight I lose the more comfortable I get being myself again, which is goofy, outgoing and talkative, so of course people will react differently to that then to the old me who was quiet and scared of what everyone was thinking and just wanted to hide all the time! And good for you on the evening workout!!!

Tonight I'm going to a hip hop aerobics class at the gym, funny story....the girl who teaches it I used to co-captain a college dance team with. The first time I took her class I thought she wouldn't recognize me cause I had gotten so big!!! I can't wait for tonight it's such a fun class

Hope you all have a terrific tuesday!!

I made another step toward running my first 5K. I picked up the entry form and now I'm anxious about whether I'll be ready to do it or not. Yeah its in July plenty of time right?

Physical Therapy started this morning. :grumble: I don't have any restrictions on exercise so that was a relief. I actually have additional stretches to do every day so woo hoo for my 7 minutes a day!

Marla - awesome run, lady! Keep up the great work. You're doing amazing!

Bobbi - I SO know you can do that by July! You're doing so great so far!

Andrew - I bet that you & your son battle for the Wall-E big boy undies, huh?

Shuntae - You should sign up for one, too! You'd do fantastic, I'm sure!

    Janie - HI!!!! :flowerforyou:

Lori - Sssshhhhh....I need to take a nap. Thanks for the reminder! I forgot it was Tuesday! Eek!

Nicky - Good to see you! I hope everything is going well!

    Who's doing the next one?

Sara-- did I miss something? Physical Therapy for what, young lady? 'splain-- you otay?

Thanks for the kudos-- something clicked again last week with this challenge. Getting back to basics was much needed. Heck-- I just fixed lunch for the clan-- warmed up rotini from last night. I'd conquered last year my legendary habit to eat forkfuls cold out of the bowl-- then slipped back into over the past couple months-- lots of mindless calories there-- yeesh.

But, I have it back under control and measured my pasta and stayed away from all grazing--

So, I'm not weighing until I receive Andrew/Beth's scale-- but I know from my body that I'm back in the right direction-- feels good-- onward to goal, my good people--

    work calls-- later!

Did I not post abou that? Ooops! It is a LONG story, but here's cliff's notes:

    I have scoliosis
7 years (or so) ago, my leg started going numb
Every pregnancy & when I'm on my feet for a long time, the numb turns into "OWWIE!"
Had some tests done 6 years (or so) ago & they said I have a "dead nerve"
New dr. said "dead nerve" is probably "severly damaged nerve"
New dr. sent me to PT first to see if they can help before we start taking pics of stuff & doing things like specialists & surgeries. :embarassed:
PT guy said that he thinks he can "help" but he's not sure he can "fix"

At least it confirmed that I'm not nuts like I thought I was. I have so many "symptoms" and we're not sure if it all tied together or if there are a couple things wrong. Better fix it now while I'm young, I guess.

Bless your wittle beans-- you may have posted, but I'm sporadic at best about reading any backlog--

And yet here you are, nearly 50 pounds lighter, kicking butt in your classes, as a beachbody coach and one of the sweetest, most encouraging voices here-- you rock, young woman.

Blessings to you through this, my friend--

    Afternoon black team!

Bobbi-You should definately sign up for that 5k. I have finally deceided that I need to do the father's day 5k in Portland in June. I think I should be ready by then. I know you can do it!

Marla-I am so glad you are doing so well with the challenge, I know it has been good for me and beth. However, I didn't send the scale out today. I completely forgot. I will get that out asap. I promise ;)

Sara-I am glad your getting it taken care of. The sooner you start treating it the better. :flowerforyou:

Lynne-Little behind schedule on this one, but Nice TAT :smokin: . I've been telling Beth that I am getting one when I hit my goal. She's not entirely opposed as long as I dont go crazy. She had an ex that was COVERED in tattoos, piercings ect...and she wasnt a fan. I already know what I want and where. Now I just need to get to that goal lol.

Laslty since it last chance work out day I will report what I did. Well today began couch to 5k week 3 and it calls for the following:
Brisk five minuete warm up walk and then two repititions of:
    Run 90 seconds
    Walk 90 seconds
    Run 3 minuetes
    Walk 3 minuetes.

For my last chance work out I did:
Brisk five min warm up walk and the FIVE repititions of
    run 90 seconds
    walk 90 seconds
    Run 3 mins
    Walk 3mins

Then I increased the incline from 1.5 to 8 and walked at 4mph for another 15 mins followed by a 5 min cooldown.

Finished things off with some free weights and ab work.
Total of about 1100 cals. Hopefully the scale is nice to me tommorow.

    That could be awesome lol...

Actually I have had an interest in Chinese Taoist philisopy for some time and alot of it fits into living a healthy lifestyle. I am working on getting into Tai Chi and want to pick up a chinese martial art as a fitness activity. Reading alot about the Taoist philosophy as apposed to toaism as a religion. Not changing religion but the Taoist live by three rules, Humility, Compassion and Moderation. Anyway I want to get this on my left shoulder blade. (Minus the larger circle around the yin yang.)
