The scale at Curves really didn't like me last night........back up over 130:sad:   .

So......I had my fun weekend - time to get back to burning those calories off and then burn some more! I'm obviously not going to hit my goal before vacation next weekend, but I kinda figured that out about the time I joined MFP, since the pounds and inches weren't going anywhere!
My PI was increased by 11, progressed on 9 machines, but only burned 410 calories because several machines were re-testing:grumble: :grumble: I'll use the exercize ball tonight - gott work off this belly and love handles!!!

130 - I probably will never see that on my scales. :frown: But then, I haven't since high school:ohwell: ! But, I hope you will be able to work off the calories and get to your goal. By the way - what is your goal?

I didn't make it to Curves. I did something to my toe so that when I put my workout shoes on it hurts. It is black and blue but I have no idea what from :frown: Maybe tomorrow!

    HAve a good evening.

Hope you're all doing well .

    Hey there!
Esther, I hope you're feeling more energy now that you've recovered from your workout!

Curves last night was good - PI was decreased (who knows why - I don't always understand that part of it) but I increased on 10 machines and burned 441 calories - yeah me!

Definitely NOT going to be packing any bikinis for vacation next week:ohwell: , but......I'm still going to enjoy every minute of it!! I love Lake of the Ozarks - it is so beautiful and relaxing to be on the water all day.

I'm headed out the door to go to curves. I seem to have little energy when I workout anymore. I have been trying the SB diet and wonder if it's the lack of carbs but....it's close to the Curves Permanent Weight Loss plan so I would think I'd get past it!

Be careful on SB diet......... all those fats can sneak up on you and cause health problems down the road. Remember, Dr. Atkins died of heart-related problems!!

I can't stick to a specific diet. I limit the amount of red meat and fatty foods I eat and avoid fried foods as much as possible. Aside from that, I just try to buy healthy food and limit how much I eat. Learning to tell myself that I'm not really hungry; it's just the munchies AND I can be satisfied with some fruit or veggies has been the hardest part - I grew up in a house where there was ALWAYS homebaked goodies and I love sweets because of it. Hubby doesn't crave sweets, so I don't bake anymore since my girls have graduated and moved away, so that helps a little.

I was thinking that because it's leaner meats and lots of raw veggies it was good. It's not as strick as Atkins - I don't think :ohwell: I really think it's real close to the Curves plan. I'm just so frustrated that I can't seem to stick with a 'program' for longer than a week. I blew it Sat & Sun. Now I'm trying to behave myself - AGAIN!

You're lucky that your hubby doesn't crave sweets. My hubby is only 10 lbs heavier than his high school years and he can eat anything and everything - and does without gaining! UGHHHHH :grumble:

Don't beat yourself up for the weekend - just gotta get back into eating healthy. Life is too short to always stick with "the plan" - gotta make room for ice cream, etc!! I understand about your husband...mine used to be that way, but not anymore. He weighs 50+ more than when he entered basic training right after high school, but he was so skinny he probably should've blown away in strong winds:laugh: He weighed a massive 135lbs when he joined the Army and promptly got put on the "weight gain" program. He was "forced" to take double helpings of almost everything and his drill sgt stood over him to make sure he ate it all. He came out of basic 20 lbs heavier and all of it muscle. These days, he's pushing 195 and doesn't seem to think he needs to lose anything!!:grumble: :grumble: He makes me so mad......... I want him to be healthy so he'll grow old with me:angry::angry:

The more I think about not logging my foods all weekend, I think it was rebellion.  I still ate healthy all weekend, just didn't want to sit down to the computer and log anything. I think my subconscious brain's getting ready to be on vacation and not have access to the computer, so won't be able to log food. I don't plan to eat crazy, my biggest indulgence will be a couple of Mike's Hard Limeades on the boat each day, but will have to hit the condo fitness center or walk every day to burn them off! I intend to TRY to get the hubbby to work out with me.we'll see how that goes.....
Talk to you later in the week............

    Hello..... Is anybody there????????:frown:
    :indifferent:
    All alone again........ how sad:cry:
    :ohwell:

Esther and everyone else - I hope you're all doing OK and just don't have time to log in.....I miss all of you:smile:
PI got increased by 11 - burned 467 calories tonight at Curves -  This was my last workout until we return from vacation, :glasses: :glasses: unless I go to the local Curves in Missouri. So far I haven't been impressed any time I've traveled and gone to a different Curves - maybe this time will be different!
We leave early Friday for vacation, and tomorrow I won't be able to go - gotta pack-yuk!:grumble:

The morning of the wedding I got really really sick and was not able to go to the wedding! It was heart breaking, I spent so much time planning it and even bought and returned at least 20 outfits!
I am still not 100% but hope I will be in the next couple of days!

would like to hear how all of you are doing!
We are going back to Sun City West tomorrow!
    Talk at you later!

    :glasses:
But tell us where you went in Mexico - how sad that you got sick.
    Was it beautiful besides that?
    Hope you're feeling better soon.

    Hi Sandi, Georg and Esther!!!
I'm BBBBAAACCKKK!!! Vacation was WONDERFUL - 9 days of laziness, cruising Lake of the Ozarks on the boat and no cooking!!  I cooked dinner ONCE - grilled chicken breasts, baked potatos and fresh broccoli - yum!! The scale at home this morning wasn't as bad as I thought it might be - gained 2 pounds, :grumble: :grumble: which isn't bad at all considering I only walked/ran 3 miles one morning and went to Curves one morning-no other workouts.

So..... back to work today; only had 115 new emails to wade thru!!! Still have to finish unpacking and do laundry, so won't make it to Curves until probably Wednesday:frown:

Been back from vacation since Sunday night, but still haven't made it to Curves:grumble:
In addition to still trying to put my house back together (amazing how a house that's empty for 10 days can get so dirty and cluttered); I had yet another needle biopsy done to drain a breast cyst on Tuesday. This one was DEEP...the radiologist said it was almost on the chest wall, which is why I HURT SO BAD yesterday and am still hurting...... I think it was about a 3" long needle he used!!! The good news..........just another normal cyst; no evidence of any unusual activity. I've been paranoid since my nurse practitioner found not one, but 4 lumps a few days before my sister had her mastectomy!!!! So...had all of them drained (took 4 visits to the surgery and radiology clinics) and the radiologist said there's no need for me to keep returning; just come back for my normal mammogram next spring unless I discover something unusual.

Hoping to make it to Curves tonight if I'm not still really sore - hurts to even raise my arm:grumble: :grumble:

    Hi all,
Yes, I'm still alive and kicking. Sorry for the AWOL status. We have been gone for 2 weeks and I must have failed to post that I would be gone :embarassed: I'm here now but have not been back to curves yet. I'm kind of afraid to because of the smart machines and I won't be able to keep up! All of those residuals scare me

Mk: Ouch. Sorry for the procedure but thankful it's not more serious for you!

Looks like vacations are over and we should all be able to get back into the groove - or the curves!

Thanks for hanging in there and keeping the thread going Sandi - you're so funny. I can just see you with your megaphone calling us back to the thread

    Hello all!
I'm feeling much better, and the bruising is almost gone
Headed back to Curves tonight, my goal is to make it 3 times a week AND use the Nordic Track at home the other two nights. My hubby dug it out of the storage room on his own after we got back from vacation...........I guess something there (maybe all the guys our age he saw who DIDN'T have big bellies??) made him decide it really was time to start working out. I swear - I didn't say a thing, just walked down the basement on Thursday after work and there it was in the middle of the family room! I didn't even mention to him that I knew it was out - our youngest daughter made a big deal out of it when she was home this weekend:laugh:

A little stumbling block in my workout. After camping last week we got home and cleaned out the trailer. We took it to storage yesterday and I realized that I left my workout shoes in it! :grumble: A little bit of a derailment but I need to get new ones anyway so I think I'll do that today and then get back to the Curves tomorrow. (or maybe tonight)!

    Have a great day everyone.

Well, I got my shoes but didn't make it to Curves today. Hubby had a medical procedure today and I have been 'watching' him since we got home.
Tomorrow morning I'm back to it!

The scale at Curves said 127!!!!!
It hasn't said that number since early Novermber - I was so excited that I had the owner weigh and measure me today instead of waiting for Friday, my normal weigh/measure day. The inches didn't look very different, but it's only a 2 pound weight loss since last month. However......2.5 pounds of body fat lost, BMI down to 23.23!!!  I hope this is the plateau break I've been looking for - I've been stuck yo-yo'ing from 128.5 to 132 for the past 6 weeks:grumble:

    Burned 450 calories.........yeah me!! :drinker:

It's been a good day

Back after a loooong weekend - got a message before I left work Friday to meet the hubby at the lake as soon as I got home, didn't get back to the house until after 9:00, after 10:00 before I got showered and stuff put away. Back out at the lake Saturday and Sunday........makes for a long weekend, but a fun one:happy: Ate pretty well, and didn't overdo, but didn't get on the scale this morning. t'll be interesting to see what the scale at Curves says tonight......

Hey Georg.......good to see you back!
Scale last night at Curves was 127.5 - that's better than I thought it would be after a busy weekend that the only time I cooked was muffins for breakfast on Sunday:laugh:  Had a great workout AND stayed under my exercise calories; and that was eating homemade queso dip and baked chips!
Now if I could only get the belly to start shrinking - it's being REALLY stubborn this summer :grumble: :grumble: I have no one to blame but myself; I haven't been using the exercise ball or the AbLounger and it shows! Gotta start doing that every night again!!!

I love Curves been going since Jan 09. I love weigh in days at curves because I can see how far I have come in a month. I am half way to my end goal and I have met some of my mini goals already. Now I want to be down 15 lbs more by my brothers wedding so I am going 5 times a week!
