Made these 3 weeks ago and they are excellent.

    Low Calorie Pancakes Recipe

Makes 17 servings low calorie pancakes: 26 calories per serving. With the calorie content so low you can add blueberries for a sweet treat, cheese and chives and salmon for a savoury treat or just have plain alongside whatever else you are having. I really like it with a shake of cocoa powder and a teaspoon of low cal fig and ginger jam. Enjoy!

    Ingredients
    3/4 c. cake flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
3/4 c. skim milk (I actually use 2% milk so each pancake is more like 30 calories each. )
    2 egg whites
    Directions
    1. Sprinkle dash of salt on egg whites and beat until stiff, but not dry.
    2. Add milk to flour and salt. Beat until smooth.
    3. Add baking powder and beat a few seconds more
    4. Fold in beaten egg whites.
    5. Pour into the pan and turn once. Should be golden brown.

How many does this recipe make?

It says 17, but I'm not sure how big they each are.

I have answered the question three times throughout the thread.

So for the last time, use about 2 to 3 tablespoons per pancake and it should be about 3 inches in diameter to get 17 If you like them thicker try using an egg ring to contain the mix from spreading. :flowerforyou:

I was curious, so I put the recipe into the food database as 1 serving instead of 17 or whatever it was in the OP...That is, I entered in all the ingredients and put serving size at 1.

    Totals:

    394 calories, 63 carbs, 0 fat, 0 sugar, 13 grams of protein

Not too bad at all if you wanted to splurge a little at breakfast. I can even imagine taking a teaspoon of Nutella and drizzling it on top for a treat :)

I just made these...first of all...under 30 cals is if you do indeed make 17 which are almost nothing! I made normal size pancakes3-4 inches and it made 6...thats hell of alot more than 30 cals! Also, thy don't taste very good. It was like eating a cooked flour paste. I added low fat cream cheese and a low cal blueberry compote and the overwhelming flour taste was still apparent! There is barely anymore calories in a true serving of these as there are in my Trader Joes pancake mix...(considering it is barely a bite size amount that is less than 30cals) I think I will stay with TJ and eat something that tastes good!
