    When Dottie and Kit are saying their goodbyes after the World Series. Dottie is heading back to the farm and Kit stays to play more ball. It must be a 'sister' thing cuz it makes me cry. lol

    Me too. When this was in the theaters, I watched every screening of it in one weekend. I got dropped of for the Sat matinee and watched it 4 times that day, and did the same thing on Sunday. By the time Sunday night came, I couldn't see because my eyes were so swollen.

    They filmed this in my town (sanford, FL) and it is still one of my faves!

    There was a scientific study done recently, and they tried to quantify sadness in movies (not sure why), but the conclusion they came up with was that the movie The Champ - when Ricky Shroeder is telling the (dead) champ (his dad) to wake up, is the saddest scene ever filmed. I teared up when I first saw it as a teenager. I've never admitted that before! You can find it on youtube if you want to cry...
