G'morning halfers! I am 10 lbs less for my weigh in this morning! I have to say, it's definitely motivation to keep going! I'll post a bit later with the rest of my challenges. Keep moving!!!

Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!that is pretty much all I can say!!!
It definitely got me excited! I know that it's not typical to lose that weight and don't expect to every week. I'm sure it was mostly water weight, but It's still nice :bigsmile:0 -

Hey, all!
Is today when we are supposed to give our 7 things??
Well I will have my weight on Monday, since that's my once-weekly weigh-in.
I had a bad week last week, and I've been trying harder this week, so I'm going to be proud no matter what
Hope y'all have a good day tomorrow!0 -
Good morning everyone!! Yesterday I got in 4 miles of walking, going to aim for the same today. Have a great Saturday everyone!!!0
-
good for you Ari, Saturdays is the day my husband and I go on a bike ride. It usually takes any where from 1 hour to 1 and1/2 hours and we cover 10 -15miles. Our town is small so we go from one end to the other and all around the middle it is so fun. The only problem is it is windy today and he doesn't want to go. But I am going to convince him.:glasses:0
-
Haha, yeah my husband is that like that, too. I got in 2 miles earlier, now it's thunderstorming...forecast doesn't even say anything about rain  It should let up in time for me to get my last 2 miles in this evening though0

Great job on the weight loss. I am planning to kick it in to gear this week because I have a mini goal of 30 pounds by June 5th and I still have 2 pounds to go.0 -
Hi Guys, Im finally checking in – got back from my holidays on Sunday at 3am and spent a lot of Monday doing washing, and sleeping and generally being exhausted – why is it that your so tired after having a holiday!!
Anyways I have decided not to weigh in or measure until Friday, as I don’t want to risk derailing myself by getting a bad result on the scales and being discouraged, so Im going to wait a few days and hopefully any water weight ext will have dropped by Friday. I had a sad experience in the airplane Sunday – we normally try and sit in the emergency seats over the wings as there is extra leg space and my husband is very tall so this helps him, However the seatbelt are a little smaller than the normal ones – I guess because they want fitter healthier people to be able to operate the emergency exits if needed ect – and I couldn’t fit into the seatbelt L so we had to move to ordinary seats, where the belts did fit, but my husband was cramped and squashed…I felt so sad, fat and embarrassed!
In saying that I want to make it clear to anyone in the halfers club that the purpose of reporting in weights or measurements is for encouragement, and accountability BUT if you feel that this will in some way derail you from being successful then please don’t do it,, you are of course still a welcome and valued member of this thread regardless of whether you report in stats or not. If you would like to report in you are welcome to report in your weight, you weekly losses or your measurements – whichever suits you best.
What I am going to do is upload to the internet a weight / losses / measurement table which everyone in the halfers club will be able to access and input their stats, so we can track each others progress. I will get onto that in the next couple of days. If you want to be put onto the table I will need up to date stats from you in whatever form you want it to be recorded – so if you can PM me that you want to be put on the table, your goal, current weights or measurement ect.
Once Ive done this I think we will set up the challenges to be a bit more competitive against each other (in a good healthy way) and the winner each week gets to then set the challenge for the following week….how does that sound?? Are people ok with that??
But for now…keep up the week 2 challenge with your 100 exercises this week. My exercise of choice is Lunges and they are KILLING me, but I will succeed with this challenge with 100 done by Friday!!
I also received my new HRM watch yesterday and cant wait to use it! It will be interesting to see how different the calories burned from the watch are as from the website for certain activities.
Well keep smiling beautiful people! I really appreciate every one of you, and the input on this thread you have made thus far. We are all successful right NOW…. our bodies are just catching up!!
Love

Just a side-note from someone who knows exactly how you feel, im sorry you arent receiving the appreciation from your friends that you deserve! Its the giving people like yourself who make this world more bearable.
Its a fine line between giving of yourself for givings sake and being trodden on like a dirty matt...I often find myself being trodden on more and more these days...it is frustrating!!0 -
Hello halfers it is mid week and I am still trying to figure something out that I have never tried and am able to do. I have never ice skated but there are no icerinks in my area. I have tried most exercises. As a matter of fact I just started squats a few weeks ago. Can't recall ever doing those before maybe they will be my thing for this week. Hope everyone is having a great week. I hope everyone loses weight this week. :flowerforyou:0

Hello to everyone. I am hoping to find some joy in sharing this journey and the ups and downs of it with others who truly know what it is like to not fit in the chair at the beauty shop or to have to ask for a seatbelt extender on an airplane.
 I have lost 27 pounds so far but I know I still have a long road ahead of me.0 -
Hi all!! I would love to join in! This is so supportive and motivating! I got a little discouraged from the many who only had to lose 20-30lbs...that to me would be so much easier than what I have to lose! It has been a hard road and I am determined to make it to the finish line this time!! Way to go for all the ones who have lost already and I am excited for the new life I will gain with all of this!!0

Hi and welcome to ljcannon and jwbethany82. Glad your here:flowerforyou:0

Hi Guys
Well unfrotunatley i have been unable to complete the challenge as set for this week i have been struck down with the worlds worst period...However I am not complaining as i havent had a period in a looong time, and now after eating healthy and losing only a little bit it has already come back, so I am pleased...or at least I will be when the cramps stop and i dont feel so drained!!!
Anywho we need a new challenge for the next week dont we...Im wondering if anyone wants to suggest a challnge? Only because this is OUR thread...not just mine ...If not I will come up with something tonight....but first in with a challenge gets it for those interested...this may be a one time offer so get in while the computer keys are hot...or somthing like that...
XX PINK
Hello to all the new faces in the thread too...always great to welcome new people along0 -
i'm with ya on the period thing
i bloated up to 7 lbs overnight...(i always retain alot of water)
all i have felt capable of this week is dragging myself out of bed and dragging myself to work and home again
i have managed to cook at home every night this week and although i have not done well with calories....i have done well with the kinds and quality of food i am eating....and that is something encouraging at least
normally at this time or when i feel this awful i tend to eat junk...most especially sweets...and i am managing to avoid that
i hope you all are doing well0 -
How about this week we just keep track of exercise minutes? Maybe we can each set a goal for minutes today, and see how we did by next week?
I didn't do this weeks challenge, I just tried to challenge myself to workout everyday, and on my usual rest day I took a long walk with the kids. I am down 2 more pounds this week, and am at the 30 pound mark now!
If we do the exercise minute challenge, I would want to do 350 minutes. That is 50 a day for 7 days.0 -
Good Morning Ladies! Happy Weigh In Day. Jennifer - I like the idea of keeping track of exercise minutes this week.... I'll probably try to do more each day than I did the day before.
I too, did not do the challenge this week. Have you ever had one of those weeks that just sort of seems to spiral out of control? I started so well.... then got SOOOO busy! I can't even say that I purposely exercised this week. Nor can I say that I ate particularly well this week (I had a small brownie batter blizzard from DQ - twice!).... which totally does not explain my weigh in results....
I lost 5 lbs this week. I weighed in this morning at 259.8. The best part? I just got my period... so that's WITH bloating figured in! LOL! I'll have to really bust my butt next week if I want to see the scale move!

woah! 5 pounds is amazing! DQ is hard to resist, I had 1/2 of a medium Raspberry Truffle blizzard last week :blushing:0
-
Excercise minutes it is!
So Challenge #3 - Challnge yourself to a certain number of excercise minutes.
I am going to aim for 240 minutes - thats an hour 4 times for the week.
xxPink0 -
Hey there halfers!! I will join the challenge! I am starting to train for my first 5k and hopefully by September I will be able to jog at least half of it! My personal minutes: 300
Good luck everyone!!:happy:0 -
Hello!! I'm LeShawn and I'd love to be a part of this group. Just the thought that there are other people out there who know what it means to need to lose a large amount of weight. I am 250 now and I want to be 140 (maybe 145). I started getting serious about my weight loss when I tipped the scale at 272. I know my family loves me unconditionally but I don't love myself unconditionally. Its hard to say, but I know its true and I need to change that. Its one of my goals. I want to lose the weight because I want to have kids one day and I want to be healthy enough to get pregnant and carry the child the whole term. I want to be able to play with my very active nieces!!!! Last summer I had to get off of a ride because the seat belt wouldn't fit around me. As devastated as I was I quickly reminded myself that it was a kiddie ride and that I was able to fit on all of the other adult rides just fine. I want to lose weight because I'm tired of being the fat cousin in a family of medium built shapely people.
The biggest thing that I want to learn and that I need to practice is how to feel like I'm an attractive person (sexy even) and am worthy of being in a great relationship no matter what size I'm in.
Thanks for starting this group!!!!0 -
This group sounds like a great idea and I would love to join you all if its okay?
I originally started off at 268 and wanting to go down to 150... maybe more but I am going to re-evaluate once I get to 150 cause even though I have never like being the fat girl... I also wasn't comfortable being the skinny girl... but seeing as I haven't been skinny since I was 12 years old I might feel different when I get there. I was always most comfortable being on the chubby side.... just a lil fluffy0 -
Hi leshawnturner welcome to our group:flowerforyou: You have made the first step in taking care of yourself. It will not be long until you are soo active with your neices. I wish you the very best.
I am a bit upset. I cut my calories this week even more because I had no weight loss last week. :grumble: I exercised and according to my calorie deficit for last week I should have been down 1.5 pounds last week but I lost 0 last week. This weeks calorie deficit should put me down about 2 pounds. Yet I am only down 1/2 pound this week. So my goal of 30 down by today is out. :explode: I am getting ready to start my period, this may be why. I know that I am exercising like a mad woman so maybe it is also muscle. One thing that makes me feel good is there are inches gone. I think exercise minutes is great my goal for the week is. ...........400 minutes. You all are doing so good and are an inspiration. Keep up the good work.0 -
