UGH!!! Me too... I don't like the way I feel. I am traveling on business this week and could barely find 3 days of work clothes that felt\looked good :grumble: I usually work from home so shorts and sweatpants are my work clothes :laugh:

Monday is a good day to begin after a LOOOONG break!! Hello everyone and those who have joined since I went AWOL! Life has been full and wonderful and I had gotten pretty lazy about the whole routine. Believe it or not, My husband and I (mostly me, but he is coming along) have committed to eating "Primal" (with some dairy). I am doing this not out of any commitment to the entire Primal Theory but because it is a food plan that would actually be appealing to my dear husband. Well, it's working. I have dropped over 4 pounds in this first week and he is down 3 with quite a few cheats! :drinker: I miss my whole grains, rice and granola but figure it's worth it to hopefully get him motivated!
So here I go again!

Sorry to have missed checking in so many days...
I, too, have only gone up...
And, I am sure to really feel that tomorrow when my nephew comes in town tomorrow & we go to 6 Flags on Thursday. I will wear shorts, anyway! But, I already know that I will have trouble keeping up and feeling like crap due to being overweight and not as strong and healthy.
I've been out of town & will be traveling by car all day today to get back home. Since I will be by myself (and big dog), I will be eating to stay awake (well, I hope not!), but that is usually what happens. I will try to make some healthier choices, but really think that I just need to start over August 1st -- tomorrow!
While away, I have done better than in the past for a few meals, but the rest were just "bad". I haven't really gone on major binge, but have definitely overeaten, snacked & eaten unhealthily this trip. So hard when staying with my parents and celebrating 2 birthdays!
I have been going on 1-2 short walks every day. Today, I will walk before I leave and also do back exercises. One day, i did a fantastic Zumba class.

I really need to get more disciplined. Marriage, new house, summer (off schedule) is not on my side. Need to get my head back into this. I felt so much better 30lbs lighter!! I need to start saying no more :grumble:. Heading to New Hampshire at the end of the week for a vacation with the family... I am going to behave myself... eat light and pack good snacks!!! Yes I am :bigsmile:

Goldk - I know exactly what you mean ... I have been in the same boat all summer - just out of routine and letting 'life' get in the way of my weightloss. I've been doing pretty well for a week and a half now. I think you just have to force yourself to string a few good days together by keeping your weightloss goals a top priority, and then after the first few days it gets easier (as long as you don't let it slide for too long). We can do it!

went to grocery store & bought only healthy things so when I had to binge later -- I fooled that ole binge monster!!! Only 430 calorie binge due to having bought Keebler Right Bite 100 Calorie mini cookie packages, imitation crab meat, horseradish, and gefilte fish. If I had the unhealthy stuff like candy bars, ice cream, donuts, potato chips, and cup cakes around -- I would have eaten an entire box, bag or carton of the baad stuff.
What would I have done differently? exercised and planned time better so that I would not have waited such long periods between meals to eat!

Did I reach yesterday's personal goal? the vacation was pretty much a wash out. The weather didn't cooperate. Did lots of walking but didn't log\time it. Emotional and physically drained today... not much of a vacation. Invited the my step-daughter and her family (husband + 3 kids) + my husband + my daughter. It was too much!! Lesson learned

Got on the scale today after vacation so I am up again.:frown: I have changed my ticker to reality weight and changed my
BMR again. It lowered my calories by doing this. I hope to get back on track. Next boating cruise is in September
and that is overnight. No more long vacations until March when we go to Florida. I want to get back in shape by
then. A good goal to go after. We have to have some kind of goal to reach or we won't do it.
