The belly isn't totally gone, but it's not hanging over like it used to!
OMG thank you for posting this pics! I am quite a bit older than you so hopefully will have similiar results. My overhang is the thing I hate the most about myself and thought even if I lost weight it wouldn't go away. Thank you for the added motivation!0 -
See ticker below. This was me three months after I had my fourth son, 255lbs size 18. I am now 166lbs size 6. I'm 5'8. My stretch marks are still there, not as big but there. If I'm in plank position my stomach hangs down, as I have tons of extra skin. I gained 90+ lbs with all four of my son's, 110 with my last one. I have lost the weight each time, but every time it's taken longer to lose. It's taken me two years this last time. I had my tubes tied so no more going through this process.0

It's weird cause the last thread doesn't link to this one but here is what I posted on the last page:
I don't really have a desire to have a super flat tummy like some of the ladies here but to get my pre-preg body back. I have two children, with each pregnancy I gained 60+ lbs. Here are my results in under two months.. I went from a large size pants to a small (same brand/make) and I reduced my BF% from 31 to 25% (WOOO "Healthy Range")
Before pregnancy:
During pregnancy (23w):
Post-partum:
From Jan 1 to Feb 24
SW: 181
CW: 169
I'm actually way smaller now than I was before
I love your pregnancy picture! It is so beautiful!!0 -
You are doing wonderful...I hope I can see the same kind of results0

I hope one day my skin bounces back...but even with all these threads mine looks a lot different then most of yours you've all done AMAZING! that's so incredible wish I could be as lucky!!0

I have no idea if I replied to the original but skimmed it quick and couldn't find me. This was 10 months after the birth of my 3rd child (it was MUCH worse). I had already lost 20lbs. 3 kids, 2 years apart each, No C-sections.
This was a couple of months ago:
Moderate calorie deficit. Occasional cardio. Adequate protein intake. WEIGHT LIFTING.0 -

Hope I can add to this thread in the future . You ladies look amazing!0 -
I actually bumped up this thread about a week ago or so because I found everyone's stories and pics very inspiring!! And then I took my current pic and compared it to last year and I was shocked by the results!!
I've given birth via c-section to 2 sets of twins, ages 6 and 8. I still have a VERY long way to go until my body is exactly the way I want it but I'm proud of how far I've come in the last year!
Strength training, in addition to cardio, is key (in my opinion!!)

I'm still working on mine. I'm down 8 lbs so far. I hope to lose another 63 to put me at my pre-baby weight. I'm 5'8".0 -
Bumping! Great thread!! 2 c sections (one 3 yrs ago & one 6 months ago). Never lost the belly flap after the first even when back to prepregnancy weight (which was still about 30lbs overweight)...it did shrink alot though. This time I started Insanity as soon as I was allowed to workout...now I'm 10lbs below prepregnancy, great tone in arms/legs/buttocks, but the belly is still there. Such a difficult journey. Congrats to all of your successes thus far!!!0

hi
i've done a special before and after profile pic as I still don't have photobucket account etc. If you click on my profile you should be able to see the changes. The pic on the left was taken about 2 years ago ( nearly 2 months after having my little lad). The second was taken this month (he is now 2 and 2 months). I had a c- section and initially quite a bad overhang. Now it has pretty much gone back to what I was like before having him though I am still hoping to lose more fat so I can get some ab definition. Hope that helps make someone feel better. I was convinced I would always have the overhang but with a bit of work it seems to have gone.0 -
Excuse that stupid line that is just barely starting to go away lol I had my baby end of July This pic is Oct 2012
here is Feb 2013

I am almost 40 years old and just had my first baby 9 months ago. I had a c-section after 24 hours of mostly un-medicated labor. I was so disappointed when my body did not shrink all the way back to my pre-pregnancy weight after the magical 6 weeks had passed. None of my clothes fit. I stayed in my maternity clothes. I had the weird belly flap pooch thing and still felt like I was 5 months pregnant. In addition to all that I developed chronic plantar fasciitis (tendonitis) in BOTH feet making it painful to walk and extremely painful dequervins tendonitis (mommy thumb) in my left wrist. I felt like I would never recover from my pregnancy.
About 7 months post partum my friend let me borrow her Insanity DVD's. I had no idea they would really change my life. I only lost 10 pounds since I'm still nursing but this program did so much more for me than you can see in these pics. For the first time in my entire life I was able to finally run non-stop for 3.11 miles (5K) after doing the Insanity program. Not only could I run an entire 5k, but I was able to do it pushing a 25 pound stroller with a 16 pound baby in it. I'm telling you that 3 months ago I would have NEVER believed this was possible. I've never been able to jog for more than probably 5 minutes tops without being completely winded. Screw the C25K programs, Insanity will get you there faster.
The other thing that this program did was finally make me genuinely more interested in fitness. I've always really hated exercising/gyms/running/dieting/etc. I've read stories about people who "look forward to exercising" and have always been envious of them. I've never looked forward to exercising a day in my life. After doing this program I feel empowered for the very first time. I'm ready for the next step in my fitness journey - even excited about what lies ahead. I'm thinking about buying a Fitbit and buying either the ChaLean Extreme videos or TurboFire (maybe both and do them back to back). I'm hoping to lose about 16 more pounds and completely kill the pooch - forever!

My progress from DEC to FEB and left to right the weights were 190, 182 and 172.
I have three babies, all girls, and they are six, three and one. The one year old was a ten pounder and boy was I stretched to the max.
Awesome!!! I am almost exactly where your starting weight was and I am at 172 now as well. I have two girls, aged 6 and 4. My belly is getting smaller too, but I don't have a before picture.0 -

unfortunately , the belly hang does go away but the extra flab and stretch marks always stay though can diminish .
i was 109 lbs before pregnancy, i had twin that bumped me up to 178 lbs and i got back down to 114 with an extra flab that wouldn't go away no matter how much i trained or ate well i was toned but there was hanging skin in front hiding it. i then had an abdominoplasty after 3 years of struggling and i am happier then ever with my bikini ready stomach!
fortunately enough i only gained the lbs on the belly during pregnancy , which i know is not the case for everybody0 -
God bless you ladies who took the before pictures! After my c-section, I wouldn't even let myself be photographed without a sweatshirt on!
My son was almost 10 lbs and I was 38 when I had him, so I have no illusions (delusions?) that I will EVER have a flat stomach again... however, I am now in a size 10 skinny, so I'm pretty happy about that! Down 50 lbs from the day I brought him home.
March on ladies!0 -
