    Hey Gina,

I did report that I lost 1 lb but you didn't change my weight on the log?

I hope to do better this week and have started off pretty good. I hope everyone stays with in their goals for the week and keeps up the good work!

    Hi Jessica,

Could you tell me if you eat all your exercise calories or just some of them?

    Thanks,
    Gina:smile:

Hello all! I am still at 163 today (Tuesday). I don't know if my weight is posted or not. I had a pretty good week. I am cutting way down on my sweets and have been going through a bit of a withdrawal from that. It's tough. Anyway my goal is to exercise at least 4 days a week. Right now with my busy work schedule I have only been able to do 3, I think this week I should be able to fit that 4th day in! Good luck to you all and have a great week!

    Hi Jessica,

Could you tell me if you eat all your exercise calories or just some of them?

    Thanks,
    Gina:smile:

I personally only eat some of them. I know that my body doesn't need 1600-1700 calories when it's losing weight. I have researched other websites like Web MD and they said I should eat 1280 calories a day. I put in my information and that's what it said. I know that this site says to make sure and eat all of your exercise calories, but I am not going to do that. I have also done the Weight Watchers at home program before where you use points and earn points for doing exercise. They said not to eat all of your exercise points or you probably won't lose any/or much weight. I don't know if this answers your question or not. If you have anymore questions, ask away. I hope I am not offending anyone by doing this the way that I am, but I just know what my body needs and I know that 1700 calories is more than I would have eaten on a normal day before dieting!!! I have Hypothyroidism so I know that my body and needs are different than others.

Have a blessed week Gina and thanks so much for starting this group.

    Hi Jessica,
Thanks for answering my question. I too felt that with exercise I should not eat 1600 calories. I'm only 4'10" so that would be too many calories.

    Thanks Again,

I hear you! I am 5'5, but it still just seemed like too many calories. I really think each person just has to find out what works for them. So far for me, it works best to stay between 1200-1300. Thanks again Gina for starting this group! It is really helping me.

    God bless,

    Hey girls,

I had a successful milestone today, which I just had to share cuz my colleagues and some other friends wouldnt understand.

I was invited to lunch today, which is always my downfall. I'm a cheeseburger, potatos and pasta kinda gal. When I was asked where I wanted to go I purposely chose a restaurant chain that I could find the meals and their caloric content for. I avoided Chili's cuz I love their burgers and fajita pitas. I chose Applebees and picked two meals before going that I knew I could guiltlessly eat, they also have WW meals. So I ended up having the California Turkey Club. I saved half the sandwich for dinner since I have late meetings and never have time to grab something.

This website has finally been the tool for me to reach my goals. I hope you are all having a successful week as well.

    Pamela,

I am glad to hear you are making good choices too.

We don't eat out often by choice. My family would rather eat "Mommy" food. My son loves to be in the kitchen so it is either me or him that cooks.

Today I made a spaghetti squash southwestern casserole. It wasn't a keeper but, hey, if you don't try new things you'll never know.

Son is in the kitchen right now cleaning it up for me. Of course there is a motive....he is going to have dinner with his friends tonight & he wants me to make cottage cheese rolls for him to take. I can't share the recipe here because they are full of butter but oh so so good! At least he is taking them away so I won't be tempted.

I hope everyone keeps making good choices!

Hey, Janet: Just read your post great job on the lost pounds!

The family and I don't eat out much, but I do because of work. I love to cook though and am always trying something new. I understand the cottage cheese roll dilemma. I made smores brownies for my family last weekend and only pinched off a small corner to try and told them the rest was theirs. It certainly does take will power to cook those things and not eat them.
