Carrotts, trail mix (the kind w/out chocolate pieces), apples, dried fruit would all be good! Drink water, but not too much or you will never get there from all the stopping!!! Be careful!

I'm glad to know that we're on the same page b/c I was thinking fruit, trailmix or granola. Thank you for taking the time to respond, it's greatly appreciated.

Good Morning and Happy Friday! I am leaving work a bit early today to drive to NC to visit my family there for the weekend. Wish me luck with not eating too horribly! I am leaving early so I can make it up there for dinner tonight, my dad is grilling steaks, yum! And we are going to the Biltmore Estate tomorrow so I know I will eat something very rich while there. On Sunday I will eat lunch with my Granny, she always cooks me horrible yet yummy things. And then after that I am driving back home to make it to my church's Thanksgiving cover dish dinner. Oh, and Monday we have Thanksgiving here at work. I think I will be living in the gym next week! But I have had progress, even if the scale says I haven't, I had to go down to the last hole on my belt this morning and my pants are still a bit loose!!!!

Happy Friday everyone! I need some motivation to be good this weekend. I feel that I-don't care-attitude coming on where I am not being conscious of my food I'm eating. If I start that this weekend, next week will be horrible!!

I went to happy hour last night and had a few yummy margaritas! I declined the quesadilla appetizers though. We stopped at Chipotle on the way home and dang.....it was sooo good. It cost me over 700 calories but it was so worth it.

I feel a little bloated and yuck after taking the day off yesterday. It might be mental though, taking off and knowing I'm not working out tonight either. I've really got to make it up on Sat & Sun.

mkwrose- Congrats on tightening the belt...isn't that the best feeling?
    vrdz- good luck tomorrow!

    Have a great weekend ladies!!

amk- Together we can be strong!!!! Just think of how bad you are going to be next week and how you wont feel guilty because you did so well this weekend! I feel ya on the margaritas, those and beer are totally my weakness on weekends! Stay Strong and Focused!!!!!

    Happy Friday all,

I have great news to report. Today was the last day of my first exercise boot camp session and I did EXTREMELY well. I lost a total of 7 lbs, 2.5 % body fat and 7.5 total inches (chest, waist & hips). In addition to the weigh in/measurements we did a fit test. I was able to complete 40 push ups (on knees), 54 toe touches, 50 seated dips and 84 jumping jacks. We were given a minute to complete as many reps as possible. We will retest at the end of session two which is 12/18/09.

I was so inspired by my success that I went to the gym after boot camp and completed an hour of cardio and burned 522 calories. In addition to the cardio, I also did a little bit of strength training.

WHAT A GREAT WAY TO BEGIN THE WEEKEND!!!!!

Happy Monday! or should I say Wednesday, since this is a short week! yay! I had a pretty good weekend, got 2nd in age group in my 5K again! No trophy this time though...i was very excited though because this was a lot bigger race than last week and I placed! I did not lose or gain last week, which I guess is a small victory considering I had a bad week. Anyway, I have decided in order to counteract Thanksgiving food, I plan on going on a long run (7 miles) on Thanksgiving morning so I can eat some brocoli and cheese casserole, and some deviled eggs and not feel bad! Hope everyone had a good weekend!

Hi everyone! Well my weekend wasn't as bad as I thought it was. I ate very well, and like last night at my church dinner I only had one chicken finger and took the skin off and only 1 small spoonful of 4 different sides.

Vrdz: Broccoli casserole is my problem. I made a giant one as well as a chocolate chip amaretto pound cake last night for Thanksgiving here at work today. I did use brown rice in the casserole instead of white. I have to make two more casseroles this week!

Also, I went shopping with my dad and stepmom on Saturday and Sunday while in NC and I have been wearing a size 12 for quite a while. And all the jeans and pants I tried on were 10's!!! I was soo excited. We went to this one place in the mountains and I tried on two different pairs of Wranglers (not overly cowgirl style!) and they were both 10's and even had a bit of space left in them. I was so excited, I almost cried. They bought all the stuff and are wrapping them up for Christmas, I hope and at the same time don't hope they fit by then! It would be nice to be in a 8 but I like everything they got me so much I hope I will be able to wear them!

Edit: I forgot something else, I finally showed numbers. I lost 3 lbs!

Yes it was a good feeling. I know I will never be where I was when I was my smallest. About 7 or so years ago I was 115 and wore between a size 2 and 6 depending on the brand. My goal now is to be maybe 125 at the lowest. I would still like to see a single digit size though eventually

Happy Monday all. I had an alright weekend considering I had to go out of town and had little control over where I could eat. I made great food choices for myself on Saturday while eating at the casino restaurant. I opted for the asparagus and lump crab meat salad instead of all the fattening alternatives. Yesterday, my friend and I had a 16 hour drive back to Atlanta and overall I did alright. We ate at Cracker Barrel for breakfast and I opted for low fat yogurt w/granola, pineapple slices, 1 egg beater scrambled w/a 1/2 slice of American Cheese and 1 turkey sausage patty. For lunch I had 1/2 of a cranberry muffin and an apple and dinner I had a weight watcher meal. My problem occurred when I had to drive from Cincinnati to Tennessee (4 hours). I was exhausted from the whirlwind of a trip and my friend and I were both operating off very little sleep so I drank a 16 oz Coke and ate a box of Mike and Ike's so I could get a sugar and caffeine rush. While I hate that I consumed all those calories it did its job which was kept me awake and got my friend and I safely to Atlanta.

I went to exercise boot camp this morning and then headed to the gym where I burned 615 calories on the elliptical machine. I had to make myself feel less guilty about the drink and candy from yesterday. I am happy to announce that I am back on track.

Good Morning and Happy Tuesday. It is a very happy tuesday for me. My bf called me from Greece. I haven't talked to him in over a week. I missed the call but I almost prefer that because I can go back and listen to him, cheesy I know

One more day of work!! I can't wait to spend time with the family, and yes I can't wait to eat some good food! Friday will be a long day of shopping for me as well, starting at 5 am! And then later that day driving back to NC.

    Happy Tuesday all,

My holiday vacation has officially begun. I started my day with exercise boot camp so it seems I am not letting Sunday's little mishap get me off course. I too am looking forward to the holiday but mostly looking forward to just relax and perhaps check out a couple of movies.

    Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
