Titanic...Stupid Rose! Had you hopped your *** on the lifeboat like you were supposed to with all the other women and children, Jack would still be alive. But nooo, that would have been too simple I guess. smh
B!t(h could have scooted over on that damn door!
Check out MythBusters... they thoughly covered the myth of whether sharing the door would've saved them both. I won't ruin it for you here; check the website.0 -

Ok... So if you're reading this then you admit to being a jock scratchin', beer guzzlin' (light/low carb is fine!), oil changin', sports watchin' MAN! So in the vein of all things manly, I've got one question...
What movie(s) make you CRY like a BABY??
I can NEVER get through Man on Fire (Denzel Washington, Dakota Fanning) without tearing up! I watched it the other night and purposefully got up to make a protein shake at the end so that I could regain my composure... Didn't work!
What say ye?
Best of the Best
I wasnt gonna get involved in this thread (other then reading it) but this is one of my favorite movies ever :flowerforyou:0 -

I Am Legend when "Sam" ( the dog died)
Definitely
My Dog's name is Sam... Needless to say, we can't be in the same room when that scene comes up :sad:0 -

What pissed me off was when the old b1tch threw the necklace overboard instead of giving it to her kid or whatever. She was just a selfish old hooker.0 -

Thanks! I was going to run home and check the Myth Busters show about a fictional event so that I could sleep better at night knowing that Rose's actions wouldn't have mattered. :noway:0 -

Well, if you wanna get pissy about it...
Actually, her being found barely alive on the door was real life. I don't know about the Jack part though.0 -
I Am Legend when "Sam" ( the dog died)
You mean when he had to kill Sam. I've had to kill a beloved pet. It ain't pretty. Neither was I during that point in the book/movie.0 -
6'2", 230lb ex rugby playing weightlifter here. I cry like a gurl at **everything**.
TV talent shows destroy me, the olympics left me in a puddle of salty tears and just about any film except die hard means I need a lot of tissues...0 -
I don't really cry, but I tear up occasionally in a few films. I rarely am moved by the classic, standard tear-jerker films. Most of them seem so manipulative.
Field of Dreams always gets me at the end when Costner's (spoiler alert!) father shows up, especially when Costner calls him 'Dad'. My father died in 2000, and the movie's effect on me has been amplified since then.
That said, the movie that destroys me is called "In America". I doubt many have seen it but it's a great movie if you get a chance. The scene at the end when the oldest daughter talks to her dad (avoiding spoilers) turns me to jello. It's hard to even think about that scene and the movie in general without feeling that lump in my throat. I also react strongly when I hear music from the soundtrack, even as it plays on the DVD menu. It's that powerful to me. I relate to the father character because I tend to be a wound-up emotionally and I know I suffer like he does because I hold so much in.
Despite all this, I'm proud to say that nobody has actually seen me cry in about a decade. I never observed my father crying and I guess it's important to me to be seen as just as tough emotionally.0 -

Oh man. United 93. My dad worked closely with Todd Beamer (the guy who is credited for saying "Let's roll"). It was tough to watch the flick.0 -
