Hell yeah!! The music from that thing made me squirm.
for me, it was The Entity... the woman was being raped by some entity, and it was supposedly based on a true story... gives me the heebie jeebies:(

I've always been a fan of Horror movies but after having a child I can't watch The Hills Have Eyes. In the beginning when they take the baby I just turned it off and was like nope can't do this.

A movie called "feed" it was about a guy who had big girl fetishes and he used to feed them til they died... and people use to watch online.. I believe these things always derive from some sort of truth.. Totally sick!!

I've been meaning to watch that movie..

It was nicely done. Check out "The Woman" also, -it think thats the name, it's onNetflix

I've seen it.. i actually felt angry about that one.. i'm not really a feminist but i felt like it was a very demeaning movie for women..

Yea, I'm still not sure how I feel about it. Was it feminist? Was it just thinly velied tourture porn? Idk, but I like that it made me have a response. So much horror I watch and I'm just like "meh"

it depends on the context weather i[m like meh or not.. if there is hidden meaning, i tend to find it.. i don't know if it was just me or not but, i found a distinct lack of feminine power. the man teaching his son his views on women.. the wife's position in the family.. the fact that the woman in the movie is practically a caveman.. it has so many anti feminist undertones.. not even undertones.. just blatant woman bashing! as i said.. i'm not a feminist.. but still a woman and i was pretty effected.

I heard that was recently remade. I meant the original.

Has anyone seen Funny Games? Pretty disturbing - though not too graphic.

Trilogy of Terror when I was a kid. But Audition (1999) Japanese Horror freaked me out. Pretty messed up movie. Love the Japanese Horror Movies!!
  • Salo, Serbian Film, Cannibal Halocaust

Oh! From the reactions on this thread I am now adding these to my que!

careful.. if i were you, i'd check out the reviews on imdb.. just in case.. a serbin film isn't just a horror movie.. it haunts people.. it's a pretty horrifying thing to put yourself through.. it's what i did.. and i'm glad i did..

I thought it was a documentry, and that is what makes it so horrifying? Anyway, yea I'm gonna wait till I'm in a certian type of mood to watch that one.

    i love that movie.

Funny thing...I don't mind horror movies, and definitely a fan of the mind-f... movies like Jacob's Ladder, The Jacket, etc. But...Bridge to Terabithia bugged me. Maybe because it was promoted as something completely different.

Heh, a kid's movie sticks in my head, when things like Un Chien Andalou and Begotten don't get paid a second thought.

Yeah - he was great. Wasn't that Michael Pitt? Who was awesome in Boardwalk Empire.

the best revenge movie i've ever seen, HELL the best MOVIE i've ever seen, is a Japanese movie called Kokohaku. (Confessions) it's about a junior high teacher who's students kill her young daughter and she exacts revenge.. It's incredible!
  • The movie, "Candyman" was pretty scary due to the whole bathroom/mirror thing and saying his name three times... eeeek! lol.

the clips i saw of the first one didn't bother me in the least.. it's the second one that freaked me out.. that main character was just gross.

Dunno, I tend to agree with you, but I know some people who, because of the ending, view it as a 'female power" type tale. Again, I like the fact that I saw it a few month's ago, and I'm still talking about it. Good or bad it provoked a reaction so IMO I would recomoned it to others (well a certain type of others -deff. not for everyone!) :)

Is it horror? If not, I might check it out. Korean movie, OLD BOY has a hell of a revenge story line. One of the best, I'd say (not horror).
