What is a MILF? Should I be offended or what?

The other day on campus a guy called me a MILF. Then my son's friend called me a MILF and my son punched him pretty hard knocking the wind out of him. Should I be offended or is this a complement?
What comments do people make now that you've lost weight that you're not sure how to take it?

Backhanded compliment at best.0

MILF Means Mom I'd Like to F__K. I this it is a little disrespectful however coming from youngsters that don't know any better I would say it is a compliment. I am trying to be a DILF, so at least I know I still have my mojo.0

It's a complement. Nothing back handed about it.0

I'd say it depends on who says it, how, and why. My brother calls his wife (the mother of his kids) MILF all the time.
The others are accurate in their definition of MILF. I think the scary new one is GILF, yes, grandmother I'd like to ****. My mom got called that once, my dad taught the guy a lesson, and my mom and I threw up a little in our mouths. :noway:
LOL to DILF!0 -

Yeah now that I see what it means I can see why he was ticked as well. As for the guy on campus I didn't even look to see exactly who said it. Just knew I was the only women or girl around so figured it was directed towards me. The way he said it made it sound like it wasn't nice. Kinda like when you'd get those perv phone calls. So guess its like any other comment..depends on the tone.0 -
its a compliment Mrs. Robinson.0

yup that's me. Trying to keep up on these new slang terms kids use these days. Maybe if I told my husband what a MILF is now that I know, he could say it to me in a way that I would appreciate it He's much older than me so he's even worse with getting these things than I am. lol I"m still trying to figure out all the texting slang.0 -
I'm kind of glad to hear I was not the only one who didnt know what this meant. My adult son was NOT very pleased explaining it to me or that it was said.0
-
Oh COME ON! Be nice, this lady is NOT fishing for compliments! If anything she's turned to an anonymous site to avoid embarrassment0
-
I would not be offended but I would not call it a compliment either since it is a term I don't like and find it sort of disrespectful0

So you know exactly where I'm coming from. I asked my son who is 16 what it meant and he got pissed and walked away saying never mind mom!!!! :mad:0 -
OP obviously knew what the term meant (indicated by her use of all caps in MILF).0 -
LOL - It is a compliment, but conveyed rudely!0

urbandictionary.com is handy for those of us not totally au courant with what the kids are sayin' these days. Just type the acronym into the search box and presto!
The only danger is after-the-fact offense.0 -

See thats how I felt. But thought maybe I'm just over reacting.0 -

Yep I know right where you are coming from and my two boys were rather disgusted by it. I found it kind of a rude backasswards compliment.0 -
For future slang clarification, try using urbandictionary.com
But enter at your own risk. :flowerforyou:
FYI, if you enter your own name on there, you get pretty amusing "definitions."0
