What is a MILF? Should I be offended or what?

It's all contextual. Maybe we should aske the hubbies here if they would appreciate it if a guy came up to his wife and said he wants to *kitten* her. What if he came up to her and said what a lovely MILF you are and handed her a 20. What would hubby do. Yes not all moms are married, and its the context of the situation.
My husband has had people tell him that they'd like to *kitten* me and he's ok with that because I'm hot, he knows it and he's pretty damn proud of the work that I do to look the way I do.
As for saying I'm a MILF and handing me a $20 he'd punch the guy in the head because I'm worth a lot more than that.0 -
basically it means your only obvious quality is that someone would like to have sex with you despite being older and having had children.
There's probably a twisted compliment in there somewhere.
I'm old fashioned and believe there are far more creative and respectful means of complimenting a woman.0 -
if there is ever a time you don't want to ask people, or if they get embarrassed, you can always look it up on the internet. Going to Google.com and typing the word or phrase is helpful. you can also put quotation marks around it. There's also a website called UrbanDictionary which is basically a dictionary of slang terms. The address is www.urbandictionary.com - but just keep in mind that people on there can be pretty vulgar.0

It is not a compliment, though some women respond to it. Basically it is a way for a guy say he wants to F**** you with no other interest. If that is your thing, cool.

If you called me a MILF, Would you be offended it I called you a mother f@cker ?
This should be on a giant billboard!!!0 -
MILF Means Mom I'd Like to F__K. I this it is a little disrespectful however coming from youngsters that don't know any better I would say it is a compliment. I am trying to be a DILF, so at least I know I still have my mojo.
If that's you in the profile pic, mission accomplished.
^^^^ This. Hubba hubba0 -
At least they didn't call you a GILF.0

I'd love to be someone's milf0

Is it wrong that I'm not agreeing with a lot of women on here and I take it as a compliment when someone calls me a MILF? I don't see how someone can read into this so much ...they're giving you a compliment and telling you. "hey you're hot, I'd bang you" ..I think it's awesome!
I like it, too!
Me three
I guess we all read into things as for me. M for Mother - infers a married women. So those who believe it's a compliment or being called sexy, think it's ok for someone to intentially come on to a married woman ? I think you are being decieved by the intentions of the guy saying this to you . He is not saying you are sexy. He has no respect that you are married, and if you go along with it, what are you saying about your own marriage ?
I'm married, not dead.0 -

As previously stated it's contextual and may not be in the intent you believe it is as a compliment, as some guys will say anything to get sex whether you are hot or not. Have a great day.0 -

 Oh now that's a funny one!!
I'm fairly certain that IF I had a child (which will never happen) and someone called me a MILF I'd take it as a compliment. And then I'd run home and tell my husband that I got called a MILF by someone and this would then lead to lots of smiles and high five's between us because this guy just told me that I have a kid and not only do I look like I'm way to young to be a mother but I'm freaking HOT!!!
IDGAF if someone "respects" that I'm married or not because I know that I'm married and it's just some guy saying words. Perhaps it's because nothing actually offends me that really makes me not give a rats butt about what someone might say to me and cause me to "over think" it and then wonder about things that really don't exist.0 -
I find that a moralistic attitude is much more demeaning, actually.0

I do think it is a bit offensive. What's wrong with just saying you're pretty or attractive? Why does it have to be so crass?0

Yes and I'm sure you'll high five your hubby when some guy calls you a slut or *kitten* that is a positive testament to your sexual ability. C'mon there is a line here on how we relate to each other with kindness and respect. Some small German guy in the 1940's yelled into a microphone JEW Pig etc. and got what he wanted. If being called a MILF is a compliment all the other hate words against women must be compliment too.0 -
Its a compliment that lacks charm - but hen if he had any charm it would be more sinister because it implies intent and, most importantly, hes a teenage boy.
Teenage boys have lacked charm and sublety since the dawn of time.0 -

I must apologize. In my effort to protect a women's dignity on this subject in this forum I have been trashed. Maybe its old fashioned but I believe women need better treatment in this world, and from point of view being called a MILF is vulgar and demeaning. I'm sorry but I could never imagine a women wanting to be called a MILF while other women on this planet suffer and are simply struggling to be recognized as human beings. For those of you that believe being called a MILF and other things is OK take care and good luck !! No hard fellings.0

Being offended is a choice....regardless of the situation.0

Maybe we could debate if human trafficking is complimentary or not...0 -

Don't understand the context but did the Jews in WWII or anyone else subjected to hate have a choice ??0 -

You may want to read about some holocaust survivors like Elie Wiesel for more insight.0 -
Good lord, comparing Milf to human trafficking and murder in Nazi concentration camps? Lol!0

Yeah, no kidding. I'm curious about Elie Wiesel now. Gonna have to read up on her. I found Victor Frankl's story incredible. Ultimately the way we perceive and respond to a situation is what is empowering, or not.0
