How many calories you eat a day: It says I am supposed to eat 1300 but I usually eat about 11000 -
I am 5 foot 5, start weight on here was 164 lbs, am now 156 pounds. I want to be about 135 lbs. I am 38 years old and I eat between 1500 and 2000 calories per day (I do strength training, lifting very heavy 3 times per week and I cycle everywhere, so get between 1 hour to 3 hours of cardio in per day depending on distance cycled)0

It seems very prelevant in the teen to low 20's age demo.
Heck, at 5'5" I looked like hell at 125 pounds....bone sticking out everywhere, lower ribcage that made me look like I had a second set of boobs. I never would have been seen in a bikini.
Makes me think most of these girls that want to hit 110 at 5'4" to 5'6" must have tiny frames.0 -

Agreed that anything below 1200 is definitely unhealthy, you can't get your macro nutrients in less than 1200 calories.
Those for anyone between 1200 and 1500 I understand why it's lower.. well for me anyways, at 1400 calories, I rarely work out these days (long work schedule) and I have a sedentary job therefore 1400 is realistic for me.
Anyone above 1500, good on you, those are the people that are able to eat so many calories due to working out frequently, or to maintain their weight.
Those who are on 1200 or below.. especially those who are working out.. you DEFINITELY need to eat more. But either or 1200 or below working out or not.. is just not going to work in the long run.0 -

Calories: depends on the day. I have a desk job - so not very active throughout the day. Days I don't work out, I try to get about 1400 calories. If I work out on a day, then I adjust up to 1600-1800 calories.
I have been losing weight at a rate of .5 to 1 lb per week (depending on the week), which I think is reasonable. I have been careful with my food - and really have found that the right food - you can eat quite a bit of food for 1500 calories.
Examples: no candy bars, no soda, etc. There are other things that are good for you, and filling, without having a lot of calories.0 -
