    Hey everyone! Happy Wednesday! Haha

I'm back after my long weekend in Devon for Mother's Day. I dunno who it is but I just can't seem to control myself in my mum's house...anyway I've totally had my fill of fattening horrible food and am sick to the teeth of it! I'm definitely back on the bandwagon today and I'm consciouss I've said that a few times over the past two weeks - ahem - I really mean it now, it's a slippery slope from here and I'm undoing all my hard work! I think my fight with the scales at the gym a couple weeks ago really knocked me for six and upset me which has started this unhealthiness!! Enough is enough!
I hope you all had a great weekend (I know that was a while ago now haha  ) the weather was amazing in Plymouth  Oh I do love to be beside the sea!!!!!!!!!!!
Right pound a week here I come! :drinker:

    Mimi xxx

Hiiii Mimi! Lovely to see you back on the board.. Missed your face!
I had the exact same frame of mind when it came to monday - i wanted to get right back on track, no slacking.. so its wednesday now and i can happily say i have stuck to being good.. no snacking - apart from healthy snacks of course!
I hope you had a lovely weekend though, asides from the "fattening foods" im sure they tasted amazing!!

Off to Nottingham :smooched: *fingers crossed* this weekend, so i will be trying to watch what i eat.. Could be difficult... Just as long as im good this week then im not going to worry too much - back on saturday evening!

    Love K x

    Good morning everyone else,

Happy St. Patricks day to everyone! Are you doing anything for it? :drinker: :drinker:

Hi everyone, Hope everyone's doing good. Got my weigh in tonight, fingers crossed. I'm doing quite well on the not comfort eating front but the nights can be quite difficult now I'm on my own (I've not lived on my own before!)

Happy St Patrick's Day if you're celebrating :drinker:

I'm going on holiday to Marbella this year, me and my fella probably wouldnt have gone away so perhaps it's just as well that we've split up! Going with my Mum, step Dad, Aunty and cousin, should be a good one

Good luck on the weigh in.

We are off to Aruba this year (that is the reason for losing some weight) and I can't wait. I've never been to Aruba before so I am looking forward to finding out all about it. I hope it is as good as it looks in the brouchure. Steve x
  • Hi everyone :flowerforyou:

Thank you Katherine for the timely reminder of how near ? my holiday is. (panic) 19 weeks sounds ages but it will probably fly past. I am of to the South of France for a fortnight with Hubby, Kids & Parents.

Is it unreasonable to expect to lose 2lbs a week or am I setting myself up to fail?
Does anyone else get days where they are really hungry? I have had my lunch - and normally that does me, but today I am sitting here thinking I'm still hungry & want more. I daren't go down to the kitchen here at work, cos it's someones birthday & there are cream cakes
So far I have resisted

I have days when I am very hungry and all I want to do is eat and eat. Sometimes I feel that I simply have to eat so I do, but I try to keep it as healthy as possible. Other days I struggle to eat my calories becasue I just do not feel hungry.

A 2lb a week loss is ok to aim for but as long as you are 1-2lbs a week that will be good.

Well feeling fairly victorious, I have managed to resist the cream cakes all day, and when I gave in to temptation and went down to the kitchen .............they'd all gone !! I made do with a 'celebration' (not the same)

Going to be a toughie for me tomorrow.

Me and OH are off to see Frankie Boyle at the King's theatre in Glasgow tomorrow night.
Out for dinner and a couple of drinks first and staying overnight in a hotel

Going to stay strong though, without ruining my night.... And I'm sure I'll laugh a few calories off at Frankie Boyle:laugh:

Just done my weigh in and lost 1 lb, am really pleased (especially after having a chippy tea last night   )!!

Was 10.12 1/2, so moving away from 11 stone which i am over the moon about as I have been lingering at 11.1 for ages, I think this may be my comfortable wieght, so it has taken a lot of effort to get away from there!!

Havent been well this week so not done any exercise which is disapointing, but will hopefull get back on track with this next week and aim to loose 1 1/2 lbs. We are at a wedding on Easter weekend and it would be lovely to get to 10.10 for then!!

Have good Fridays guys, its lovely and sunny in Manchester :glasses: ...... roll on 5pm!!

Oh dear, hope you're feeling better. Seems to be a lot of it going around. My mum is on her 3rd round of antibiotics for a chest infection at the moment. Well done on going to the gym, did you make it last night?

I've not lost anything this week, but no great surprise there what with all that lasagne etc! To be honest at the moment the losses seem to be coming off every two weeks anyway, so fingers crossed for next week. I've got a girly afternoon/evening with some of my friends tomorrow...I think I'll be ok if I can control the wine consumption....easier said than done. Gym in the morning though!

I hope you all have great weekends.

HI everybody. I hope you are all well and looking forward to the weekend.

I had a sneak peek at the scales this morning.. and it's looking favourable..

Not much planned for the weekend as I am off to MK again tomorrow to have laser eye surgery so doubt I will get to the gym over the weekend. I am going later though so I will have to work a little hard to offset the two day break.

Take care and enjoy the weekend (if you can).

    Hi All

I am fairly new to this site (been here 2 weeks) and I have just found this thread. I have just got under 12 stone

I started trying to lose weight after going on holiday last May with a friend (a perfect size 10) and saw the photo's when I got back, almost didn't recognise myself, didn't realise I had put on so much weight. I joined SW and found I was always veering off it as it wasn't strict enough for me. I did lose weight but soon put it back on when I stopped going! So I am here for the long haul this time and I am enjoying it, I have gone over my calories a couple of times (usually on a Saturday when chinese food calls to me!) but I am finding it much easier to stick to than counting points or syns (yes have also tried W W)

I look forward to getting to know you all and hearing your triumphs.

Welcome. This place really does work. watching the calories is a lot easier than other programmes (it is for me at least). Also watching the calories you suddenly realise how many calories are in things we think are good for us. If you do have days when things are tough, just come here and vent your frustration rather than head to the kitchen.

    Godd luck
