May Day Challenge! Take 2!

Thursday- breakfast- Honey Oats cereal with milk, and fruit
lunch- probably left over shoulder, and salad
dinner- spaghetti with green beans
snacks- ???
Well, for breakfast I had a leftover piece of pizza from last night:blushing: and a banana:laugh: . For lunch I had sugar-free jello, carrots, and a 6" chicken terriyaki sub sandwich with no cheese, no extra sauce, and lettuce and tomato. For morning snack I had a pack of peanut M&Ms, given to me by a student:ohwell: . For after school snack I had a Skinny Cow Caramel Truffle bar. YUMMMM! . Dinner was the tacos we were SUPPOSED to have Tueaday. Only problem is that the tomatoes I bought to have with it ended up at my in-laws' house:ohwell:
Today was a beautiful day, so we took a family walk across town and back (about a mile and a half, we don't go ALL the way because 2 miles is a little much for my son:laugh: ). After all of this, I have 288 cals left. I may go have myself a little cereal for a snack. (I know it's late, but I'm hungry!)

So it's been a bad week for me food wise. Baseball is in full swing, so cooking great, healthy meals every single night is just not realistic. On a good note, though, I'm still walking and have been able to get in a few good workouts at home with my DVD's. I've decided that 150-155 is a really good range for me (I'm not going to get hung up on one single number), and I'm VERY happy with how I look at this weight. Yes, I'm up a little from last week, but I'm learning how the maintenance thing works. Hope everyone has a GREAT Good Friday and a wonderful Easter weekend. HE LIVES!!!!0 -
Good Morning!! It has been a struggle to stay on track this week... but apparently that latte and a cookie didn't wreck my weight too much...
I was 163 on Wednesday but today i'm 164.4... Kinda pathetic that I was discouraged when i saw 164.4 because I had weighed a little lighter on Wednesday... HELLO!? In the scheme of things I'm down about 2 lbs since last week! I guess weight does fluctuate rapidly. My goal is to only weigh on fridays so this doesn't happen!! Funny how our minds can play games with us.

Good morning everyone and Happy Friday! I'm posting about 3 hours later than normal b/c I have the day off from work and I made myself lay in the bed until about 8 am. I'm still programmed to rise at 5 am so it was a struggle to remain in bed but I did it nonetheless and I'm happy for it. Today is week 5 day 5 of the Insanity program and the Core Cardio and Balance dvd has been completed. I'm still pretty sore all over but I know it's because I've been pushing myself in the workouts so I'm not really going to complain. I just hope I'm ready to take my 3rd Insanity fit test come this Monday.
Anyway, now that the workout is complete and I have the day to myself I'm about to get dressed and head to the nail salon to get a pedicure...WooHoo. It's going to be in the 80's in GA today and I want to enjoy every minute of it. I may also take in a little shopping since my best girlfriends and I will be heading to L.A. next month.0 -

I've had a pretty good week, a little light on the water, but other than that it was good. Next week will be even better because now I don't have the stress of festival weighing on me. Hopefully between the two I'll be able to drop these last few pounds!
I've debated with myself about what my final goal weight should be. According to the BMI scale, my "ideal" weight is about 140 lbs. In high school, when I was at my strongest physically, I weighed in at 175 lbs. The very edge of "Healthy" for me is 164 lbs. I honestly don't remember the last time I weighed less than 170lbs! I maintained in the 175 range (give or take 5 lbs) all through HS and college. So the territory I am now in is unknown!:laugh: After all this rambling, anyone have advice on how to best set my final goal?
This week I am going to restart the situp challenge. Tonight I will do the test, and then go from there. I am also going to get back into doing my wii fit workout every day, again! My third goal is to continue to plan out my meals in advance.
Sunday afternoon I will post the next week's meals, along with my workout plan.

Happy Saturday everyone! Today is week 5 day 6 of the Insanity program. I decided to forego the Core Cardio & Balance dvd and headed to the gym. I completed 30 minutes on the Elliptical and then headed to my kickboxing class. I rocked it out for another 45 minutes. I ended my workout w/a yummy protein shake.0

Good morning and Happy Easter everyone! I'm suppose to begin month 2 of the Insanity program tomorrow and when I looked at the workout schedule I realized I'm suppose to complete the fit test and the 1st month 2 dvd (Max Interval Circuit) on the same day. Since I didn't think I would have the energy nor the time to rock out both of these dvds I decided to complete the fit test today. Here are my results:
Fit Test 1 - Fit Test 2 - Fit Test 3
Switch Kicks: 50 - 70 - 80
Power Jacks: 57 - 70 - 80
Power Knees: 80 - 95 - 110
Power Jumps: 32 - 44 - 62
Globe Jumps: 8 - 10 - 12
Suicide Jumps: 12 - 18 - 21
Push-up Jacks: 20 - 32 - 40
Low Plank Oblique: 40 - 54 - 60
I am very proud of my results but I must admit the fit test kicked my butt today. I was feeling great and strong all the way through the power jumps but after the globe jumps I was wiped out. It took all the strength I had to bring it for the rest of the test which is why I think there is not a bigger improvement w/my suicide jumps, push up jacks and low plank oblique.
In addition to my fit test I also took my measurements and I'm down 1 lb, 1.5% body fat and 3.5 total inches. Not mind blowing stats but progress nonetheless.0
