Starting P90X/Insanity in February

I'm currently 2 weeks into my 2ND round of P90X. I've just ordered Insanity. My wife and sister in-law who have seen my round one results were so pumped up that they too wanted to join me.
Anyone else who are already doing either P90X and/or Insanity, feel free to join here to hold each other accountable

Emma: That's awesome. What are your goals for this round?0 -
Just finished week one of month two today.0

Good job, Jennie! Are you doing Insanity or P90X?0 -
Insanity. I opted for that because I didn't want to buy the extra stuff you need for p90X. I have a friend who is on her second round of P90X. She got awesome results the first time and just want more.
ETA: I plan on taking a month off when I'm done and doing it over again.0 -
I have the Insanity workout on it's way. I just know it's going to kill me, but I'm going to give it my all. I'm actually kind of excited to see just how much I can take.0

I am doing Insanity... just started this week... my last blog post was about it actually.

My wife is joining me for Insanity on 2/4. Since I've done a round of P90X, I "think" I can do it. Just so I can help set my wife's expectation, what would you say to a female who hasn't done any intense workout like such?0 -

Thanks for sharing! Feel free to check in here on a daily basis to encourage each other0 -
Have done both-- loved em both. Currently doing a hybrid of insanity/lifting-- but was actually contemplating returning to P90x to mix it up a bit. Good luck to all- and enjoy!
Way to go man! I tried lifting right after I got done with P90X but quickly returned to doing P90X because I still prefer following the video and not have to remember what to do next.0 -
Is Insanity something you could reasonably expect to start maybe a week or so after completing 30 day shred?0

Absolutely. I don't see why you wouldn't be able to start that right away given that 30 Day Shred is pretty much cardio and that should have given you a good foundation for Insanity.0 -
Nice, I'm just starting Insanity tonight. Totally pumped and ready to work my butt off and see changes. Somewhat nervous as well since this is my first time. Got a co-worker that did about 6 weeks, and got sick and couldn't do the workout for awhile. She loves it, and we're both starting today. Good luck with your second go around!0

I did the fit test for insanity yesterday and threw up afterwards... I did want to keep going this morning but I seemed to have really hurt my back (probably jumping around incorrectly...) So I am likely going to keep my results from this fitness test but start the workouts next tuesday.0

I'm at a pretty fantastic level of fitness and I still almost threw up the first couple times I did insanity. It gets better - you get used to it I think your stomach just needs to get used to being jostled around like that, haha.0 -
I got insanity on weekend. Just finishing 30DS and starting Insanity on 4/2 . I can't wait but kindof nervous too.0

I'm starting p90x on Saturday.0

Just finished up week 3 of Insanity. Absolutely love it!0

I'm starting insanity after 30 DS (about valentines day), I'd love to hear what everyone thinks!0

I just got my copy of P90X in the mail today, I wanted to start it Feb 1st but unfortunately I have come down with a nasty bug so I might have to put it off longer...
I ordered a set of resistance bands, other than that I have a few free weights, push up bars, a medicine ball, a stability ball & yoga mat. No chin-up bar or anything like that. I'm hoping that I can get by with what I have....
Currently I do 30DS & some other Jillian videos as well as some other HIIT routines i found online. I mix n match them & usually do about 45-60 mins total a day. (sometimes i do weight lifting but it's pretty light weights, more high rep full body compound moves.) With 30DS, level 1 is fairly easy for me now, level 2 is very doable but not "easy", I can hang in but still kind of huff & puff & grunt my way through level 3. I wonder if I should wait until i can say that i have "mastered" every level of 30DS & the other Jillian videos I have before i try P90x.....0 -

Nice what kind of Genre of music do you listening to when doing it ?0 -
Today was my second day of Insanity, really pumped about these workouts. Anyone doing the videos on a second floor? I feel like Im going to annoy the heck out of my neighbors.0
-
I just finished week two
Going on to do my second fit test
I really enjoyed it so far and think its a great alternative to the gym0 -
Hopefully they'll be a bit understanding when they realize it's an adult doing all the jumping and stomping, etc. Could always offer them to join you....HA! I have a friend getting ready to get the disks as well, who lives on an upper floor appartment. Will be interesting to hear about. Keep it up!0

Tomorrow makes day 51 of my first round of Insanity for me. I gotta say....I made the mistake of eating a "light" meal before my first fit test and I almost threw up. It was horrendous. Needless to say, I kept with it, careful to do it on an EMPTY stomach (lol) and I have done much better. So far, I've lost only 7 pounds but I've lost 18 inches and a dress size. I am 5'9" and currently 206 lbs. I feel better than I have ever felt...and my before/after pics so far are AMAZING to say the least. :0)
No matter how hard it seems, just stick with it...I promise it gets a LITTLE easier. Take as many breaks as you need...and DIG DEEPER!0 -
I'm on my eighth month of P90X right now. I've slowly tweaked it over time, substituting some of the easier workouts with routines from elsewhere (replaced Kenpo X with Interval X Plus, for instance). It's a great series for me and I've been very happy with the results. I've lost 19 pounds, and put on a lot more muscle than I expected to.
I can actually keep up with that Dominic guy in Plyo now, which just blows me away. I used to curse that SOB every time I got to jump knee tucks and he does them double time for 30 seconds.0 -

This was an interesting read for me. I threw up after I did the fit test, but I did it first thing in the morning with no food or water in my system (which made throwing up much worse). I then had a read and thought it was due to dehydration and lack of any food. From that I gathered that I should eat before doing it, but you reckon empty stomach is better?0
