How many calories do you eat a day?

i eat when i'm hungry.. sometimes that's under 1200 & sometimes i'm over.. but i'm not going to eat something just to hit the daily goal if i'm not hungry..
as long as you're not starving yourself i think it's ok.. but i'm sure there will be tons of obnoxious "you're going to die if you don't eat more calories" opinions on this : P
Yeah, people certainly say things just like that. Continue to do so--apparently living on 1200 calories is completely okay to you. I'd be rather upset with that reality, then binge, and then weigh more than I ever have.0 -

I'm similar. I have mine set to 1100 (1360x1.2-500), I usually eat 1000-1100 and exercise (burning 300) Mon-Thurs (on rare days it can be 800 due to a healthier lunch). I don't usually eat back my calories. I usually end up over on the weekend because I'll eat out, or eat Mum's cooking (which is hard to calculate the calories unless I ask Mum to measure everything out, which she won't).0

I eat TDEE less 20% = 1693 - made MFP 1680..............it's above my BMR of 1593 but 20% below TDEE..................0

Over the past four weeks, I averaged 2152 calories a day and lost 6.8 pounds (which was actually a little higher than expected, since I've been targeting 1.5 pounds a week).0

1720 plus some exercise cals back. Depends on how much I've worked out. But I find this a nice comfortable buffer to work within. I feel that I have enough to eat when I don't exercise, and that I have enough wiggle room for when I burn more.0

I'm doing Herbal Life and am currently struggling to eat 1200 calories a day(sometimes I go a little over 1200 ) I'm starting to add exercise and hope I see some results soon.I'm only loosing about 1 pound a week,any suggestions as to how to loose more0

^Me too, almost exactly. I am still trying to lose a few more vanity pounds, but I have been averaging total 1800 calories a day and losing gradually. I workout 5 times a week and probably burn around 400 calories each time.0 -

Depending on how much exercise I do.... I can eat close to 3000 a day. Actually that is most days now. MFP gives me 1870 I think.... the rest I earn. Problem is I wont even eat the MFP amount, I'm just not that hungry or able to continue pigging out for the sake of it.0

Around 1800 a day. Today was more like 2100 - I had a lovely hike and so upped my calories accordingly.
Just over 350 of those calories are in the form of homemade poptarts and ice cream, which I'm going to seriously enjoy tonight
Edited to add that I'm a short girl, 5'3". But, that sure doesn't mean that I can't eat lots of nummilicious food.0 -

On a normal day I eat anywhere for 700 to 1000 calories and day...... If you are eating good food thats still a ton of food.......

OP, I am on maintenance at 130 pounds at 1700 calories PLUS any and all exercise calories I earn. When I was losing I believe it was 1350 plus all exercise cals.0 -
2100 plus exercise...
...until I reach mini-GW and then I'm going back to 2700-3000ish plus exercise.
ETA: 41, 6'. 171 pounds, mini-GW 165, then resume eating.0
