    I knew 1.5 months after we started dating. At that point I wasn't tired of seeing him yet and still got giddy with the idea of seeing him (unlike other guys I had dated). Plus whenever he came over to my apartment, it just felt right that he was there. That was 13 years ago. Still together, married 10 years, and have 2 kids.

    I'm really just here to tag the thread so I can read all the gushy romantic stories and then hate my life a little bit more because romance has not been in my past and probably won't be in my future.

    I told my husband that we were going to get married months before we even started dating. Next month will be our 13th anniversary (15 years together).

    I was smitten instantly. He's awesome and then some. We've been together for 16 years and married for almost 10 years. We're like peanut butter and bananas.

    Human beings are meant to mate, marriage is for the birds. In today's society people look at marriage as something that sounds good, looks good on paper, but when the times get's tough they don't want to put in the effort to make it work. Hence the reason our divorce rate is at an all time high.

    When I met my husband, we dated for a year then he broke it off not sure about the commitment thing. We were apart for about a year (only saw each other a few times during that period) before getting back together. We've been married 13 years but have been together 17.

    met here and a week later I moved in with her. I knew she was the one almost instantly. Married now for 17 years. Not to say things are perfect or that it is nothing but roses. It is work, but in the end worth it.

    I got married 10 months after meeting my hubbie although I knew as soon as he moved in (after just 6 weeks) that he was the one for me, this year we celebrate 19 years together. Hasn't all been smooth sailing, there have been some years we have had to work through, but I wouldn't change any of it. I love him more now :)

    Met in August and hung out as friends (including working out together), started dating in October, the next October he asked me to marry him. Together 12 years! 4 kiddos and all..

    my husband and i went to high school together but never really knew each other. We started college and became friends, started dating 3 months later. We started talking about marriage right away but waited until we had been together 11 months before we became engaged our families wanted us to go slow because we were 18 when we started dating otherwise it would have happened sooner. We got married after being together for 17 months. We will soon be celebrating our 8th anniversary and have 3 beautiful children together.

    How soon after dating your guy/girlfriend did you know that he/she was the one you wanted to be with? And are you guys still together now (how long have you guys been together?)

    I had an inkling at the end of our first date... but I knew he was the one when I went through heck with my son two months later -- and he stuck around! LOL

    Our first date was in April of 2006, moved in together 4 months later, got engaged December of 2010, and married on 9-10-11. And yes, we are still together. :heart:
