Hell yes. Go ORANGE!0 -
My birthplace is the land of BBQ (the right way... pulled pork, vinegar-based sauce, served with hushpuppies and tea so sweet it sticks to your teeth).
I then moved towhere models roam in their natural habitat, and they don't eat anything. But the rest of us enjoyed pizza. Famous pizza. On every corner.
Now I live amongst the cheesesteaks, hoagies, and crab fries. :-)0 -

my dad is from south Louisiana (lake Charles & south lake), our favorite local dish is boudin. it's THE BEST, taken out of skin and spread onto white bread. YUM!
"...sausage made of pork & Pork liver and heart meat are typically included. In Cajun versions, the sausage is made from a pork rice dressing (much like dirty rice), which is stuffed into pork casings..."0 -
Pastes(not so sure about the spelling) are very popular in England. Great for a grab and go meal. Though I live in Oklahoma...mostly known for greasy food.0

I'm not thinking so. I live in Spokane, there's not much. So in that vacuum, I make my own neat stuff.
In my basement I'm making:
- Prosciutto
- Peach Wine
- Beer
- country ham
- landjager
- bacon
- lardo
- (coming soon) cheese
- (coming soon) bresaola

Take it out of the skin? Never ! IMO, Boudain or Boudin is best straight off the grill!0 -
Here in WV it has to be the Wild Ramp. Being from Maryland, I had never heard of them. They taste like a cross between onion and garlic. From what I understand, if you eat too many, you reek for days! The season is coming up soon, so I'll be seeking some out. When I lived in Central WV folks would be selling them on the roadside.

Wild LEEKS! They are all over the eastern states. I live in Western New York, as soon as the snow is off it's time for leeks (ramps, if you must). I've been eating them for weeks!
Oh yeah, and chicken wings and Beef on Weck...
..and if you are from Rochester NY, I guess they are famous for Nick Tahous Garbage Plate.0 -
