Hi ladies! Just checking in. How are you doing? I'm good. I had a god-awful headache earlier, but doing my Plyo X workout actually made it better, without any drugs. That's pretty awesome if you ask me. I guess that means sweating really IS good for us, huh?

THAT'S AWESOME Jill  A GOOD w/o can and will cure almost anything! Was it stress, you think?

Been a rough one for me, we had a house showing this afternoon so we spent all morning cleaning, sprucing and making everything sparkle.(We just went through all this last Thurs, I know we have to go through this for it to sell, I'm _itching, but we do come home to a CLEAN house ) Then we all have to leave.. dog included. So we went out and watered and sat under the Willow tree. It was suppost to be like104. It felt like it in the sun. So no DS for me today. Gonna ride my stationary bike later this evening and give it another shot in the morn! Its going to be a bad w-in week for me come Fri.

    Have a good eve.

Thanks, Callie. I think it was sinuses, not stress, but sweating seemed to help. The head is much better today, thank goodness. My muscles felt so fatigued at today's workout. Only three more workouts till my recovery week... My body is ready now. LOL.

Sorry you didn't get to work out yesterday. I hope the house showing was worth it! I am so itching to have a new house, but we will be here a few more years until we are empty nesters — or at least until our youngest finishes school. These days, kids seem to live with their parents long after they're out of school, but that won't keep us from living where we want to live. If they want to live with mommy and daddy, they'll have to go where we want to go! I like our house, but I really want to be somewhere more secluded. What would be perfect in my opinion would be to not even be able to see the closest neighbors. I'm not anti-social, and I even like most of my neighbors, but I don't want to hear their dogs barking if I want peace and quiet, don't want to worry about whether anyone can see me hot tubbing or sunbathing, that kind of thing. I just want a ton of privacy and quiet. It sounds like heaven to me.

Sounds like heaven to me, too. I'm any empty-nester right now. Our boy didn't want to move with us (too far away from his friends, job, etc), so he & a buddy rented their first apartment. Man, that was close to a year ago! But his lease will be up soon, and because it seems to be serious :noway: between he and his current girlfriend, they are thinking of renting something together. Scares me. He's only 22 yrs old...but I guess that's old enough for EVERYTHING. He's my one and only. A baby to me forever!

Anyway, finally got some groceries (AGAIN!)  and am on this 'puter because I am avoiding my workout. Yeah, you know what day it is. Stupid core & stretch dvds. :ohwell: I know, I know, quit the whining and do it - it'll be good for you... I just really like the calorie blazing-high intensity-soak your sports bra- type of workouts too much. Was that a bit TMI? :blushing:

    Have a great day! :flowerforyou:

    I made it back:smile:

Jill No it didn't the lookers had not ever seen a Santa Fe, our was the 1st the realtor said they were "impressed" but not enough to buy it I guess, there gonna buy a southwestern. I fully understand about the end of the road privacy. Were happy w/ the home were in, but my DH is badly in need of a shop for his tools and we cant have a metal building here so were building the same house were in now w/ a few modifications and thats more energy efficient. He can have his w/s and I can have my garden and green house one of these days. (thats were my garden is:smile:) The kiddies might be around longer than THEY would like, but I can wait a couple more years till we are official empty nesters.  Now I just have to be highly patient.. everything it going at a snail pace.

Scoobees I can  just thinking about my (19 ys old) going. he wants the same but just doesnt have it quite together! But you have to say your son does come home to visit his momma and thats always a good thing!! I hope it all works out for him!!

Jill & Scoobees Pretty slow here :ohwell:

I'm hitting and missing the last few days w/ the w/o & cal counting. Lost my mojo over a FF burger and fries which really stinks!

Pulled out all my DS dvd's and I'm making a CONCRETE plan for next week!

Been watching TF w/o's on line... I dont know? There is LOADS of jumping, I think the w/o was Fire 30. I LOVE CJ energy so.

Dont mean to be so wishy- washy, my mind wants to do TF , BUT I dont know if my body can handle it ? The last thing I want to do is create more weakness/potential injuries.

Just trying to keep it real and its a hard one to face :frown:

Hope you w/e is going GREAT!

Wow, it's been a few since I popped in! :blushing: Hi Callie & Jill! :flowerforyou:

I literally almost drooled reading the words 'burger & fries'. The things I would do for a fry. or 50. I did go to Subway today though to try out their bfast egg white melts - not bad...I try to 'treat' myself on Saturdays with some sort of semi-acceptable fast food - I guess it keeps me feeling a little normal? lol But what the heck, hubs was gone and super busy and I was out running errands...Yum!

Ohhh yeah, LOTS of jumping/plyo in TF; especially the HIIT workouts but even in the regular Fire ones, too. But you don't HAVE to if you don't want to. The girl to the far right (Allie?) always modifies. I just get too caught up, fired up (no pun intended lol), pumped up and endorphined-crazy and can't help myself. I actually started wearing my knee braces on BOTH knees. :ohwell: They were still feeling a bit iffy and I didn't want to take any chances. But I LOVE these workouts and simply don't want to give 'em up or take it down lower. I guess I STILL haven't learned my lesson. :blushing:

And the scale is moving down again which makes me want to do even more...what a vicious circle lol!!

Today was Day 23 with HIIT 20 & Stretch 10. Drenched with sweat!! I can't believe my first month is almost over!

Anyway, I hope you guys are having an awesome weekend! I'll stop by later!

    Good morning, ladies.

Man, I was a zombie yesterday. I had zero energy. I think I just needed a good night's sleep, which I got last night.

Callie, you sound like me with TF. I keep going back and forth. One day, I am sure I want to try it. Then the next, I am thinking I just want to do Slim in 6 and Slim Series for the rest of my life, with a P90X workout tossed in every once in a while. The thing I really appreciate and miss about Debbie's workouts is the sense of control I feel like I have, which makes me feel less prone to injury. I haven't injured myself doing P90X, but I do feel like there's been strain on my body that just isn't there when I do Slim Series. I think I need a few weeks of Debbie's workouts before I can decide if I'm ready to do something more challenging and extreme. I am pretty sure I will want to do TF eventually, but I am not comfortable right now choosing a start date. I feel like I need to listen to my body for a while. Does that make sense?

Ahh, today is my rest day. Then tomorrow begins the final week of P90X. It's almost done!
  • How do I get started? I need to do excersise at home b/c I work 12 hours a day and have a 19 month old. So PLEASE give me info. about it. Thanks

Slim in 6 is a six-week program that combines butt-kicking cardio with light resistance. There are three phases (Start It Up, Ramp It Up, and Burn It Up). It comes with a separate ab workout (Slim & 6-Pack) that you should add three days a week. It also comes with a stretching workout (Slim & Limber) that you add as often as you can. I added it six days a week because it feels so good. If you commit to doing the program six days a week for six weeks, rain or shine, you will see big improvements in your fitness level. I would strongly recommend moving on to Slim Series after the six weeks because, trust me, you will be ready for some variety after doing virtually the same workout every single day!

Here's a link for ordering the two together (saves on shipping charges by ordering at the same time):
    http://teambeachbody.com/shop/-/shopping/Slimin6Deluxe?referringRepId=8062

And here's a video on Slim in 6 (there isn't one for Slim Series; I wish there was):
    http://beachbodycoach.com/esuite/home/PJilly?bctid=45346531001

Holler if you have more questions. As you can probably tell, I'm pretty enthusiastic about this program. It's by far my favorite, and I've done a bunch of them.

Scoobees:laugh:   Think I'll pass on the next FF burger & fries.. its to hard to get back on track. But, I'll have to give SBW egg white melts a try! YUM I know about that endorphin -craze, I attempted to run to get that runners high I ended up hurting myself and had to quit! YIPEE for you on your scale moving->->->

Jill I fully understand, I have been so on the fence w/ this. I know I cant do anything way tremendous w/ all the physical work I am doing outside. I just dont have the energy, to give TF my all. If I cant give it my best I need to wait till I can. Maybe when its cooler/ winter time things will change ? I just need a NEW direction and settle on ONE THING, get back to having a set aside space/ time that I w/o 4-5 days a week like I use to. I know from past experience with only doing, yoga, pilates and a bit of TM once a week it doesnt have to be extreme to get results, you just have to be consistent. I made my goal and was in the BEST shape of my life!

Really I would like to give CE another try, I'd get my CJ fix and get back to strength training which I love! Scoobees I know your a fan also of CE... so many choices, so little time, energy and funds! Here I go again.:noway:

I'm sticking w/ SS Express M-F this week.. its doable for me.

    Happy Sunday! :flowerforyou:

Boy, I can SO understand about being on the fence about TF. The only things that pushed me over were the fun factor (only because I LOVE CJ) and there were modifications if I needed them. Otherwise for pure intensity, I'm sure I would have tried Insanity already - and be in a wheelchair by now of course. And I totally agree with you too Callie - nothing has to be extreme to get real results - it really is the consistency for sure.

I think if anyone isn't a fan of CJ they may not find it as fun as I do. I like her style but I also like choreography and sequences of moves because it keeps my mind too busy that I don't realize quite how hard I am working. I think that's why I used to love the gym's step aerobics classes so much - a couple of the instructors had really intricate routines that I just thrived on! But like I said before, TJ was a bit more choreographically involved than TF. Especially in the HIITs - there's just no time for a routine.

But I am glad I always have DS to go back to. I was getting into my best shape of recent years doing her dvds. Too bad I blew it all away with my wild eating habits. :grumble: But the constant squats and lunges in every single workout was rough on my knees. I'm sure I'll run into the same problem with all this TF high impact stuff too.

So far, I am sticking with my plan. Doing TF for the 20 weeks - which means I definitely have to order those advanced dvds - and eventually doing the TF/CLX hybrid afterwards. Talk about a lot of CJ in my future! But that said, I did get hurt when I originally tried CLX. I didn't even make it out of the Burn phase. I went way too heavy with the weights and that was killer on my knees & shoulder joints. That's why SS was so perfect for me. Way lighter weights - but still very effective!

Man!!! I sure wish there was a perfect routine for everyone's body. Sheeesh. No more new BB programs please! I am confused enough already! Watch DS come out with a follow up to SS. I will die. :ohwell:

Sorry to ramble. I get so carried away here. :flowerforyou: Happy Sunday! :flowerforyou:

Part of the reason I feel like I should try TF is that I'm a BB coach and feel like I should get familiar with more programs. I'm never going to be able to do them all, but this one seems more cutting-edge than most. Oh man, I really am confusing myself!

    Just thinking:noway: :noway: :noway:

    Good Morning girls:flowerforyou:

I like your ethusasiam Scoobees!!!! Keep it up there girl!

I decided to give TJ a try. How do I know if I like without giving it a shot! Either I am going to love the w/o's or hate them. How could you hate CJ anyways? I can get through Amazon, for free using my bucks. Thinking my DD might like also. Off to get my java.... my brain isn't awake yet.

Jill you might like TJ... you never- never know?

BTW I did DS Cardio Sculpt Express yesterday.... loved, loved, loved it!!!   CCE today!

    Have a awesome day.

Callie, I'll be interested to see what you think of TJ. I did try it a long time ago, and I really didn't like it! Not that I don't think it's a great workout, because I know lots of people love it. But I am not into the dance moves, and it was just too much of that. Chalene says TF is much less dancy, which is partly why I'm optimistic I might like it.

Well, I completed Day 86 of P90X. Only four more workouts to go. I haven't missed one single one. Can you believe that? I should knock on wood. Watch something happen now that I miss one of my workouts.

It's been good, but I'm getting excited about hanging with Ms. Siebers again.

    Have a great Tuesday! :flowerforyou:

Hey Jill You did huh. You cant like them all! But, you know I'm really not into the dance stuff either. There might be a few of the TJ w/o that are less dancy? I'm still looking into it.. its going to be awhile before I get my Amazon cert, so I have plenty time to decide. If I dont get TJ, I am going to use them for the rest of the SS that I dont have, for sure. I know I am all over the place w/ these BB programs, but there is so many to choose from, its crazy.. but good! Just think if there was no DS.. look what we would be missing :noway:

OM.. 86 days...That is a TERRIFIC accomplishment!! You are my hero!! YOU ARE the ONLY person I know that is so diligently COMMITTED to your w/o plan and actually finishes what they have started!! :drinker: :drinker: :drinker:

I did CCE today and it was wonderful! I'm doing Cool It Off Express tomorrow

Have fun w/ # 87.....hurry- hurry DS is waiting for ya

    Hi Jill & Callie!!! :flowerforyou:

Jill - You are my HERO too! :drinker: I sincerely think that is a MAJOR accomplishment. Huge! Here I am - an exercise addict  - and I couldn't make it to Day 8 with P90X. :blushing: You absolutely rock. And I'm so happy for you that you will be back again with DS!

Callie - I can totally relate to the indecisions about which BB program to choose!! Too many awesome programs! And it's soo hard to give advice when everyone enjoys different things. For me personally, TJ is what got me into real exercise. I can honestly say without hesitation that I HATED exercise. I kept seeing the infomercials for TJ and thought it looked so fun - and it was - for me. OMG I was saying things like 'I can't wait to exercise today'...ME :noway: and the TJ music stuck in my brain 24/7. For the first time in my life I enjoyed and wanted to workout. What a major event.

I really did buy every TJ package available at BB. They were all (ok 99% of 'em) awesome. There was a resistance tube workout that I thought was a waste of time (3T - totally tubular something or other), and her 'Get on the Ball' workouts were just so-so but everything else was fantastic! My absolute favorite has always been Punch Kick & Jam. That one is a little more athletic and less dancey. Also Fat Blaster is great and is sort of like a preview of what TF is like because it does have the HIIT drills in it.

But then of course, if you don't like semi-dancey stuff and choreography sequences, it may be total drudgery for you. But yeah, TF is waaay less dancey and has less choreography routines. But if you're worried about the high intensity stuff, of course TJ is a lot easier. However, at the time it was the MOTHER of all workouts for me.

OMG, I never shut up do I? Glad you got your DS in today!

Scoobees I was checking out the reviews on Amazon for TJ Ab Blaster & PKJ. They seem popular!!! && Once you get the moves down then you can kick it up a notch to get a greater w/o / burn

Today I'm doing Cardio Sculpt and then going to go irrigate, its ONLY suppose to be 95 degrees but w/ 40% humidity... yuck!

    Have a GOOD one!

I love Slim in 6! Go for it, you can do it and get amazing results! I lost 10 lbs and at least 1 pants size in 6 weeks!

I'm currently doing Chalean Extreme, but I'll check in with you! Debbie is tough, so I'll try and help you through all those leg lifts!

Callie - 'Nice' weather you're having!? :noway: Glad you enjoyed Cool it Off! I may have to pull that one out one of these stretch days. I LOVE PK&J the most, and then a couple of the Cardio Parties, the 'Live' ones are great too - and short! Fat Blaster is just sooo cool because of the high intensity drills; in fact CJ mentioned that's why she eventually created TF when she noticed that (surprisingly!) people actually enjoyed working out at that level with Fat Blaster!

Enjoy your Cardio Sculpt today! You're totally getting your DS in! :drinker:

Jill - Where's our hero? Is it the last day yet for P90X?? :drinker:

Hey there! Sorry, I've just been busy with all kinds of other stuff.

Nope, it's not my last day, but I am counting down! Today is Day 88, X Stretch. I'll be doing that in about a half hour. It's good timing, as this old body could use some relaxing and stretching. :-) Day 89 will be Core Synergistics. That's a good one. Day 90 is Yoga X. That's good too, but it's LONG (92 minutes). And that'll be it! Monday, I start a Slim Series recovery week, and then a week from that, I'll dig into Slim Series for real (with a little Slim in 6 and P90X tossed in). I ought to be recovered enough by then!

Jill - Day 88!! :drinker: I never made it to stretch X - always quit the day before. :blushing: But I do have memories of Core Syn aka Superman/Banana  !! I did Yoga X a grand total of ONE time. The length of that made me want to...well, do ANYTHING else! Go you!!! It sound like you've got a good recovery plan too! I'll bet you'll love having DS around again.

Ronchika - Hi and welcome!! :flowerforyou: Yeah, Slim in 6 can get soooo repetitive doing the same dvd everyday. Slim Series offers so much more variety - and are awesome workouts!
