    Salad in general.

I will eat steamed veggies all day long. I will eat shredded lettuce and/or cabbage on just about anything. I have spinach at least once a day, often it is part of 2 meals in a day.

But salads just don't do much for me. I eat them from time to time, but I would much rather eat veggies and roughage in other forms! The idea of eating salads every day is what I used to think equaled healthy diet and weight loss and I knew I could never do that for more than 2-3 days without throwing in the towel.

Growing up, my mom's idea of salad was a huge bowl of iceberg lettuce with a little bit of chopped raw tomato (which I detest) and vinegar based dressing. I still don't like that at all.

    Celery and Rhubarb.

Rhubarb trying to pass itself off as something different when really it's just red celery.

Both disgusting. Texture wise, smell wise and the thought of eating it is torture.

Bananas- learning to tolerate them as sources of sweetness and potassium in superfood shakes.
Okra- HATE it with a passion. Gross!

Reading these I realise I'm probably not as fussy an eater as I thought!

The only things I dislike are bananas and that's because a number of times when I was younger I got sick shortly after eating banana flavoured things. No causation, banana milkshake won't give you an ear infection. But the medicine I had to take was banana flavoured too!

I can still eat them and they're never as bad as I fear. I think I loathe the IDEA of bananas more than bananas themselves.

They're handy as a "barrier" food. So if I'm in one of those eat-all-day moods I'll put a banana on my desk and be like OKAY LADY if you're really and truly hungry you can have this banana. And if you're still hungry after that, it's legit hunger so that's ok, go eat something. However if you are scrunching up your nose at the banana because you want a Kit Kat well sorry you're not hungry. You just feel like a kit kat and that's not gonna happen.

It's like the food equivalent of keeping your enemies close. Or something. I think.

Raw tomato - and the way people always say "oh but they are so good for your skin" I don't care if they give me wings and make me millions I cannot stomach the feel or taste of them. I have improved a little, I can eat food they have touched now and have even managed to swallow a mouthful of sandwich where I seed had got missed from my removal.

    Cottage cheese

I'm not a fan of yogurt either but I've thrown Chobani in the Nutribullet and when mixed with other things its tolerable.

I would rather lose a limb than eat either tofu or celery

Love the taste of watermelon but the texture of fresh, raw watermelon makes my skin crawl

Easy: lean meats. Chicken and turkey need to be fried or covered in gravy or SOMETHING to be palatable. I'm picky about seafood too. I only like eating my protein red meat or vegetarian.... all or nothing!

Cauliflower and broccoli - bland boringness. I do force them down from time to time, but have never liked them from childhood. Even my mother calling them "trees" didn't make them any more appealing to me.

I assume you've never had them oven roasted with garlic chive butter and a little crumbled bacon....

Cauliflower; raw, roasted, mashed, parading around as pizza crust, or any other crazy form people are putting it in these days. Also raw tomatoes by themselves.

EGGS and AVACADO! Hate em both!

This. I'll do eggs scrambled and sometimes hard-boiled (I love me some deviled eggs), but raw yolk forms? Gag me.

I want to like avocado, but I can't force it down no matter how hard I try. Even mixing it in things doesn't work for me, I can still taste it and its texture.

Lentils/legumes of any form (except green beans, due to them being mostly pod), in any form, so even things like hummus are out for me. It's a texture thing, and I think the same reason I can't stand most greek yogurts, either (the bacterial combination creates a "pithy" texture similar to hummus).

    YOGURT!

Can't stand it......All I can think of when I eat it is "this is exactly what I imagine the texture of pureed worms would be"

Also in that same texture category- pudding, jello, tapioca (hurk), and custard. Those aren't quite as healthy for you though.
