I've been to strip clubs twice in my life. I just wanted to chill out with some drinks and see some boobs floating about the place like in the movies. However when I got there I just really got tired of being constantly hassled for private dances. I know it's how they make extra money, but I doubt I'd bother going back.

Impressive. But it looks like all of these were taken during a "class". You see the amazing things like that at these places about 0.0005% of the time.

What do you think these classes are FOR? How would you know? You dont go to strip clubs...

For a fun new way to work towards fitness goals/get a work out.

Before making a point about my opinion try reading all of my replies. Thanks.

SIR if it was your OPINION i wouldnt give a flying **** HOWEVER your talking about "reality" remember? Reality is fact. Your opinion is yours alone. Pick one.

Can' you all just calm down? This is North America. People who strip do it because they choose to (whether they were abused or not, on drugs or not). People go to strip clubs because they choose to (doesn't mean they don't love their SO). If you're unhappy about your SO going, that's between you guys. No need to fight here.

Don't like stripping? Don't go to the rippers. Like stripping? Go to the rippers.

I don't get what all the arguing is about??

For me their are a bunch of reasons to not like it.

First I have been several times. A woman that I knew owned one, and we went there as it was just another bar. Everyone can try to glorify "stripping" as some sort of empowered thing that is making use of a body obtained by hard work.....But you are fooling yourselves.
First of all it isn't normal to get naked and rub your goods all over someone you do not know for money. It's just a lesser form of prostitution. Both of which "normal" people will not do.

Second, look up statistics on the number of strippers who have been sexually abused. WHAT is sexy about a woman doing something to you because some slimey dirty scumbag POS did "something" to her?

    Drug addiction is a REALITY.
These women make a BUNCH of money and most often times are always broke. The old story "stripping to pay for college" is just something that is told to take the edge off of the reality of the situation.

First of all who the hell are you to make assumptions as to why these women are strippers? Who are you to judge their choice of exotic dance as a way to make a living? My mother was a stripper, a SINGLE mother who NEEDED a way to support her child and pay her way through college at 19 years old. So No its not just something to take the edge off reality.

How many millions of women in the same situation through this country and throughout time DIDN'T choose to be a stripper?

How many of them DID? Your so ignorant. Go eat something.

A tiny, TINY, TINY fraction of women as compared to those who DID NOT.

    Reality isn't ignorance.

    Have a nice day.

Oh yeah? Lets see your references? Lets see where you get your statistics? If its REALITY show me.

I have read this information, and heard this information several times. It's common knowledge to most people. But since you are all butt hurt over the FACT that your mom didn't need to be a stripper why don't you just google, "How many strippers have been sexually abused?", "How many strippers are addicted to drugs", and "How do I pay for college" and tell me how many THOUSANDS of results from HUNDREDS of different sources you find.

    K THANKS!

Because HOW DARE SOMEONE talk bad about strippers or stripping. Some people chose to get all butt hurt about things if they don't agree with it. And since they did, I'm going to defend my position.

Together - yea ok - but truly why? Why spend that kind of money when we could do something a lot more fun for us as a couple. And alone - no - because if he's gonna drop 100.00 it should be on me since I am the one that cooks, cleans his house, does his laundry -- so unless he finds a stripper to come home with him and do those things - then no.

I understand your point. But you do not have to spend that kind of $$$ at these places. If you exclude your drinks and cover 20-40 bucks is more than enough.

But again, I agree with the point you made.

I'm just not comfortable with it. I don't judge strippers but imagining my husband getting pleasure from a naked woman grinding on his lower half just feels wrong to me.

    And one other thing.

If your husband had some random woman get naked and rub herself all over him for free would that be OK?

If your wife had some random guy get naked and rub himself all over her for free would that be OK?

So then why is OK to PAY for it to happen?

    Someone care to answer this?

When you pay, that is understood as a main motive for the transaction, it is a form of entertainment. Both the person and the performer got what they wanted.

Now if a random person in a stripper club started taking their clothes off and giving lap dances, that would be like a bonus level or something.

Now if a random person in a place other than a strip club a random stranger started rubbing against your SO and your SO didn't try to stop it, this then depends on y'alls relationship and it's boundaries, some couples are okay with it some aren't.

But in the random stranger doing it for free it becomes not okay because now there is the question of motive why is it being done. Even then, some couples will be okay with it.

I would only allow him to go if it was for a birthday or bachelor party.and no lap dances.I've never been but my boyfriend said our local strip clubs aren't great. The girls just kind of walk around the pole and drop it low a couple of times
He said it's just like an expensive bar with naked girls...that's it lol.Now if the girls were awesome dancers I would love to go...as for lap dances from another woman....I would probably be laughing and embarassed because more than likely my friends would do it as a joke.

I think the only thing someone should be concerned about is: how much money their SO is spending on it and how frequent is the SO going?
That should indicate if it's an issue or not.

i would have no problem with it. i went to a strip club when dating my current BF and the strippers actually didn't like me because i was giggling so much during the lap dance. i think it killed the vibe ;)

    We've gone together.
    He's gone alone.

Doesn't bother me unless it becomes a habit (like every weekend). But every now and then.... no problem. If I can go with him - lots of fun to be had.

I'm ok with strip clubs. I'll even go to a strip club with him or without him. I however am not a fan of paying for services. Give money for the dancing, but arranging for services and payment in a back room is something I'm not comfortable with.
  • I would *love* to take my husband to a club. I'm not sure if he would dig it though. I've been probably 5-6 times and every.single.time. the dancer is more interested in me then my male company ;)

I would be pissed if my fiance did that when we first started our relationship (I was 17 and he was 18). But, I couldnt care less what he does now. Taking care of my daughter is more important than worrying about him getting a lap dance/watching girls strip. Even if we didn't have a daughter to take care of, I'd still allow him. I'm not going to force him to stay home with me. I'm not controlling. lol.

Pfft, I want a lap dance from a hot female stripper, I think it would be fun! As for male strippers, H*ll no! lol. Yuck.

But, I would have a problem with it if he went all the time and wasted the money that should be going to bills and our daughter's needs. Every once in a while, sure, go ahead.

My boyfriend used to go however since dating me he has stopped out of will.
He says he used to go for entertainment "with the boys" but as hes in a relationship, he doesnt feel the need to go anymore.

    I'm not complaining.

    Personally, I have no interest.

I think if a person is young and insecure it would bother them.

As that person matures and becomes secure in their relationship they would realize its no big deal.

I suppose the common reaction is jealousy, which is just another form of a tantrum saying "Pay attention to me!"

false...I know lots of older people who wouldn't approve despite being married for decades...men and women.

They got older, but they never matured and never felt secure in themselves or their relationship.

Now if the question were "what do you think of strip clubs?"
I've been in the past, but I've got a different outlook on them now. I wouldn't want my daughter, sister, or granddaughter to work in one, so it would be hypocritical for me to go. Not my cup of tea, but if others find them necessary I don't have a problem with them going.

For me, it has nothing to do with being secure/insecure. It has everything to do with respect for me and our relationship. I honestly have a hard time buying that that many women are really okay with it and even go along. If a woman is going along it's for one of the following reasons (maybe all of thee above):

    1) Lesbian/Closet lesbian
    2) She wants to keep an eye on her man
    3) She wants to appear to be "one of the guys", which is the brightest shade of pathetic
    4) If she's going with her girl friends, it's to make fun of the strippers.

Disclaimer: this is my truth, you're not going to change my mind.

All 4 of those aren't the reasons for me, anyways (used to be years ago if it ever did happen). And yes, maybe some are hiding the fact that they're insecure by doing those actions you listed above. But, you'd be surprised at how many people don't mind their SO going to strip joints alone.
Yes, a women's body is beautiful, do you have to be a lesbian to enjoy the female body? No. I'm 100% straight and I'd rather get a dance from a woman than one from a guy who looks jacked up on steroids. The male body is not attractive. Im pretty sure I'm not the only one to think that; alot of women from what I've seen so far on a mothering website i go would rather look at lesbian porn than any other and the same goes for female strippers. Everyone likes to get out and have fun with their SO's. You're relationship is what matters the most, who cares how others deal with theirs?

All heterosexual men like seeing naked women. So when I see posts like "my husband doesn't like strip clubs" or won't go with me, it is not because he does not like strange naked women. He is a lot smarter than you think. Going to a strip club with your girlfriend or wife is really stupid. There is no up side to this for the guy. Women love to test their man and there is no better place to find out what the man likes and how he acts around other women than a strip club. Thus, the smart answer for men is "no I only want to see you naked honey!".

You have totally been dating the wrong women then. Real women dont play games. If I say I want to go then I actually want to go. And I have gone and it is awesome. It really depends on the chick and how honest she is being with you

The male body is not attractive??? I think you should have said that YOU don't find the male body attractive. I'd rather look at a nice hard p***s than a vag any day but then I'm straight.
