I plateaued a couple of months ago. I talked to the doctor on July 30th and she said that I was doing everything right and the next step was to get my heart rate up. Since then I have been more conscious of my exercise and increasing my heart rate. It helped, I have lost another 5 pounds. It helps to ask for help when you need it. I also work out with my boyfriend. It is nice to have someone else to lean on and keep pushing when you need it. Don't give up.0

Did you stop to think that its because you hit the perfect weight and fitness level for you body??? You look amazing and curvy. I wouldn't want to go any skinnier and be bony. I am just saying that when I lost weight before, I was determined to get to my prepregnacy weight of 118. I could not for the life of me eat healthy and do everything right (like it sounds that you are doing) and get anywhere below 122. With that being said, I was hungry everyday and didn't feel so healthy. It is just not the weight my body wants to be. So I gave up... years and years later and ups and downs with my weight and I am back again but this time is for good. Don't stop being healthy, drinking water or exercising... But maybe you could work on maintaining what you are. At least for some months. I am telling you that the maintaining part is the biggest challenge to over come. Stay strong and try to get a better perspective on things. YOu look amazing!!
psssst...that isn't her body...It's Beyonce or some such if I recall.0 -

I thought you gave up a week ago. Also, who are you talking to? Also, "you're" is a contraction for "you are", which I what I assume you meant to say to the anonymous "ignorant" people.0 -
Yeah, I pretty much have the same problem. I exercise 3x per week by doing my little walk/run routine for 3.5 - 5 miles each time. I have tried eating at 1200, 1350 and 1500 calories. I have been on the verge of giving up, too. But I don't I keep on dredging through it. I figure if nothing else, I will at least be a one of the fittest fat people around. :ohwell:0

4 days later?
You come back 4 days later to post this to who knows which poster?
Well seeing as she keeps trying to eat 1100 and less, maybe she has to wait until she accumulates some energy?0 -

We've all felt like this at one time or another. Your diary is closed, so we can't really analyze what you're eating to even begin to help you understand what's happening. You can eat foods high in fat, and still be under your caloric goal. The body doesn't burn all foods the same! Getting checked out by your doctor, discussing what is happening here with him may help you get some answers. I eat my share of not so healthy foods. But, you must be honest about it. If you ate it, log it. And I had to tell myself this one too!!! I know from experience, you probably deep down know why this is happening. But quitting is going to send you spiraling back to where you were. At the very least, you are healthier; and that's got to make you feel better! I truly hope you figure this out! Much success to you! Hang in there!

I think everyone gets discouraged at times and wants to give up. You just have to keep plugging away. With the activity you are doing and the water you are drinking, you are healthier even if you might be a little fatter than you want. This will definitely help you to feel better and have a better quality of life. So don't see your lack of progress as only negative. If you quit exercising and eating right, you might feel and look a lot worse. So I encourage you to keep working at it.
A few thoughts
1). Make sure you are attempt to keep your macro and micro nutrition in tack. e.g. get enough protein and fat
2). A few of your entries seems you might not be getting enough calcium, vitamin A, and vitamin C. Try to get these through food and not just supplements. They are supplements not substitutes. Try to eat more vegetables and some juice or fruits. For example if you get a sandwich at subway, try to load it with spinach, tomatoes, cucumbers, etc. Eat more salads if you can tolerate them.
3). Try to get all your protein everyday, then fat then carbs last (complex carbs). The protein will help you maintain your mass. The fat will help you fill full. The carbs will give you energey for good workouts. Sandwiches, low fat milk, tuna in water can be good choices to up the protein intake.
4). Make sure you are pushing yourself on your workouts. It's very easy after a period of time to keep doing the same thing at the same level and your body gets accustomed to it. So on cardio, monitor your heart rate if possible. I used a heart rate monitor and do different workouts on cardio, some constant between 60 - 70 % of Max, and some interval, near max heart rate, then recover by walking or running slower.
Let me know how it goes. I think you can do it with a little better diet overall and a little harder at the workouts.
Good luck!0 -

You definitely won't lose any weight if you quit. So many things could be occurring though, and it wouldn't be your fault at all. Everyone is different with weight loss. Some can pull off 20 a month while others can't. It could be your thyroid, an underlying medical condition, even lack of sleep can be a culprit. I'd see a nutrition specialist to get on a personal plan.0

Why give up? If you are working out as much as you say you are, it is possible you are not eating enough. Your body is like a vehicle. The more you want to drive, the more gas your car needs. The more you want to work, the more your body needs fuel, aka food. Feed it.0

I have been on this journey since January 2013 I have joined Planet Fitness I go there about 6 days a week for anywhere from 30 to 45 minutes a day I make sure i eat smaller portions I eat alot of chicken, fish and salads daily I recently joined a fit club where they do exercise classes and i have been doing that 3-4 days a week because I didnt know if my body was tried of the routines I was doing at the gym and still absolutely no results. I dont notice I change in my clothes or a change in the number on the scale. I drink 64 ounces of water a day which is good for me because all my life i never drank water, In the beggining I lost 14 lbs and in the last 4 months everytime i weigh in Im gaining that back, I know people say "maybe your gaining muscle" but is it possible to be gaining muscle for all these months and NO RESULTS im fed up, you would think that in 9 months I would have lost more than just 14 lbs sorry for venting out but im disgusted and discouraged.
alot of women would die for your body.... stay positive
start running and build on it!!!0 -
