Your dog

Another run, another stupid f*cking owner letting his wild-*kitten* dog run up to me like he was going to attack me. If your dog tends to run out of the yard and chase people, here's an idea - keep it on a f*cking leash or chain, or in a fenced in yard.

Tell me more about this dog...0

Have you been drinking?0

Are you sure it was my dog? I mean, I can see her from here and she's totally sacked out on her pillow. :flowerforyou:0

Didn't people come up with the answer to this question on a former thread?
Run with a water spray, bacon, & a gun.

If my English Bulldog catches you it's not good. First, it means you are running way too slow. Second, he really likes to hump.0

Was it this vicious beast?

My dogs are pretty vicious.

Ha I feel you on this. It's freaking annoying when it's those stupid little ankle biting dogs that run right under your feet. I literally almost stomped one out (accidentally) the other day. And I've already warned my neighbors, when I run, I'm armed, and if your dog bites me I'm not calling animal control. Luckily most of the dogs in my neighborhood are super friendly or have smart owners.0

Right, I should have to equip myself with weapons, foods and instruments on a run because suburban people can't control their pets, that makes perfect sense.0 -

Is the message board area only for the more serious "would you hug, spank, tickle, or slap the person above you?" types of health and fitness discussions?0 -

Well, you can post about it, or protect yourself. Complaining here won't keep your neighbors' dogs inside.0 -
How coincidental, this happened to my husband when he was out running last night too. I hate when it happens. I wish our HOA had a leash requirement for dogs in the front yard.
ETA: It's usually not about a fear of vicious animals. I just think it's common courtesy to not let your dog run up to whoever, especially if they're running.0 -

Not those specific dog owners, but hopefully any dog owner who reads this or similar posts will wake up. I don't want to hurt your pet because you failed to care enough to train your dog properly.0 -

you're clearly mistaken, it couldnt have been mine, they just take naps and eat their weight in milkbones.
^^^^but no you're totally right he is a fierce beast!^^^^0 -
Most dog owners, I have come to learn, do not give a rat's *kitten* whether or not you want their dog up in your business. In fact, they will get upset at you for suggesting that their dog should somehow be restrained from going anywhere they want, running after whoever they want, and sniffing wherever they want.
Twice I sprayed water on dogs that approached me...both times the female owners lost their ****, yelled and screamed at me, and physically threatened me. One held her walking stick up as if to hit me, and I stood there looking right at her and said "go for it. I could really use the money" so she did the smart thing and walked away, while yelling at me about what a terrible person I am. The other screamed "if you ever do that again I will take you down!!!" I'm not exaggerating even a tiny bit.0 -
The dog is probably thinking the same thing about you. "Damn those f*cking humans always running at my yard and my people."0

i fully support this. it is a HUGE pet peeve of mine. I will not hesitate to defend myself against anyone's dog that jumps on me while I'm running.0 -
poor dog, stoopid owner!!!
Lazy people should not own pets!!!0 -
i am with you, have loads of hate towards ****ty dog owners. the world is filled with them, and everyone thinks its not them. lol. just like parents.0

note to self, must keep my Greater Swiss Mountain Dog on leash...0

What a ridiculous thread. I run from time to time, and periodically a dog has ran up to me. 99% of the time the dog is just coming up to say Hello. Sure, if it is a super serious run it could be an inconvenience, but I'm not training to win the Boston marathon so it really doesn't bother me, and I like dogs as well so I don't mind saying hello and giving the dog some pats which is what it wants over 99% of the time.
The people on here threatening to harm someone's animal are completely pathetic.0 -

As The Crazy Dog Lady, I thank you0 -
My dog is a big baby... but she stays on a leash if she's not in our fenced in back yard. Safer for her that way. I wouldn't want people hurting her because she's just trying to be friendly.0

I doubt that particular owner is going to see your rant. Maybe go knock on his door and tell him about the incident? :flowerforyou:0
