Do you have any tattoos?

I have 5 - one on my right foot (done with bamboo in Thailand); small one on the nape of my neck; one down my forearm; a small tramp stamp and a large one down my back, round my hip and down to the groin.
The one on my foot did hurt at times, it was straight onto the bone and I ain't gonna lie, there was pain!
The bigger one didn't hurt on the back, but as soon as he came round onto the hip, I have to admit I cried like a girl!
The others were like having a massage and I almost fell asleep!
Of course, because you boys never feel pain!0 -
I has some tattoos! :glasses:
A purple, pink, black, & white lotus flower on my right wrist.
~This is actually a cover up, w/lotus meaning 'new beginning', & purple being my husband's favorite color.
Milo (from the game Ilomilo) on my left forearm
~This was the first video game my husband & I ever played together (we're both video game nerds); the object of the game is to get the 2 characters, Ilo & Milo, together because that's the only time they are happy. (I know, mushy & junk)
A hummingbird & rose of sharon on my right foot
~This was my first. Growing up, and even now, my Grandma & I would sit out on her front porch and watch the hummingbirds come. Rose of Sharon is my Grandma's favorite flower.
The word 'Love' with peace doves and peace signs between my shoulder blades
~I'm not going to pretend this has some profound meaning.. I wanted it. I got it. Done.
A star filled in with zebra stripes, outlined in purple w/swirls on each shoulder blade
~Same here; I'm OBSESSED with zebra stripes, and once my tattoo artist drew this up, I fell in love with them. Case closed.
I'll be getting a side piece done once I reach my goal weight. My gamertag in everything I do is xSirensSong, so it will be nautical themed.
....And even more to come, I'm sure. ^__^0 -
I've got monarch buttterfly with a quote "without any struggles, there can be no progress"
I got it to help get through personal issues0 -
I have a few... 1st one on my right ankle, it's of a heart with the comedy & tragedy masks because I wanted to be an actress when I was younger & wanted to remember youth & dreams. 2nd one is on my right shoulder blade, it's a dragon fly flying over a field of cat-tails with the sun in the background. This signifies the journey I took to discover myself. The "tramp stamp" I have is the Chinese word for Horse because my husband & I are 12 years apart & are both Horses in the Chinese zodiac. I also have 4 wolf paw prints with the zodiac signs of each of my family members in the center of each paw. The bottom one is a Taurus for my oldest & youngest children, Virgo for the middle child, Aries for me & Leo for my hubby. It's my pack & they have their claws in me!
I recently set new weight & fitness goals & the final reward is a new tattoo, I am spending a lot of time trying to decide what I want!0 -
Just one on my right shoulder blade. A peace dove (copy of a Picasso sketch). Because all I want is peace.
It didn't hurt that much but I almost passed out while it was being done. Not sure why. But I got free chocolate after he revived me with smelling salts. :happy:0 -

I have a group of multi-colored stars on my left foot.
I have Love written in cursive with a red/black heart at the end of it on my left wrist
and my most recent one is a grey/pink heart locket with a key and ribbon surrounding it on my right wrist.0 -
5 for me. No particular reason and no significance to any of them. I'm not big on overthinking things.0

Feel it would detract from my charming personality0 -
1 of intertwining hearts to represent my wife and daughter. And a scroll under with their names. And a purple ladybug on the left heart to symbolize my daughter.
Planning on another once I can find someone reputable in south florida.0 -

I decided never to get any on my front/chest area because I figured they would detract from my amazing boobs!0 -
I have two, but like a lot of other people, I want more.
I have the four music clefs on the back of my neck, and the Deathly Hallows symbol from Harry Potter behind my left ear.
They both represent huge things in my life. I'm a pianist and a singer and I love listening to music. And Harry Potter was something that my mother read to me as a child and the first chapter book I ever read independently.0 -
I have 1.
i had always wanted one, and i finally found something that i wanted permanently on me. I was 31.
I will have another, hopefully within the year.0 -
Yes!
First one I got was of a tiger's head; then a butterfly with a tiger's face design in the wings; then one in tribute to a friend; a heart wreath; an ankle tattoo with my Hubby's name; an "old-school" style military tattoo in tribute to my brothers who both serve; but the first 3 have now been eaten up by a huge backpiece I've been working on for 2 years, now. It's from the base of my neck down to the small of my back, and side to side. (Every Sunday for 2 hours - OUCH!!!) It's Japanese-style and a tribute to my family:
a giant koi representing my son (he's a philosophy graduate; the koi represents a strong sense of self and purpose)
a huge tiger representing my daughter (she's an athlete, academic, and a beauty queen; the tiger represents strength and beauty)
And they're both set amongst bamboo and water (both represent strong forces, but ones that adapt and change)
Unfortunately, my regular guy moved to another state and the tiger's not done, yet, so I'm having to find someone that can finish drawing it and then putting full color on it. :-/0 -
No.
Permanent marker. I do it to look like all the cool kids.0 -
<--- it's my design, based on the Flower of Life, which is an ancient symbol found in holy places around the world, such as the temple in Abydos, Egypt and somewhere in India and somewhere else i don't remember. it makes an eye and it also makes my first initial. there are two rays coming out of the eye, one which reps 'looking inward' and the other which reps 'looking outward'. it's to remind me that i don't know everything, and i never will.0

it don't hurt
mine all tickled, my artist always has to stop so i can get my laughs out. with my chest there was a large man getting a tattoo at the same time and i was laughing, and he was about to cry (literally) he asked me why i would get something on my chest, didnt it hurt (he assumed the bones hurt a great deal, my chest/clavicle area is very bony) and i said no, it just tickles, he also asked what drugs i was on for it to tickle i said none, but i dont think he believed me, mine took 2 hours he couldnt finish his. poor guy.
i also have my ribs, back, and hip done. all in remotely bony areas, my husband always argues with me and says it had to hurt he refuses to believe im tougher then him when it comes it the needle.
but anyways i have 4 currently, they all have a meaning, working on the design for my 5/finishing 4th. my 4th can stand alone nicely but i always had a plan to have it finished off with a rose 1/4 sleeve.
my artist also has my design folder, with tattoos 6-8 already in it ready to go.
I tend to have an inappropriate giggling reaction to pain as well. Had the staff of a spa all calling me strange as I giggled while getting my back waxed ...
Its not that i was laughing at the pain, it actually just tickled. no pain0 -
I have five
1 my husband name on my chest
2 the old fashion skull an crossbones poison symbol with the word poison on the other side of my chest
3 a spider web on one side of my neck
4 a spider on the other side of my neck
5 the symbol for atheism on my arm0 -
I have two. I wish I didn't have any though. Now that most of the population seems to have them, it doesn't seem as intriguing anymore.0
